“The Cub House is everything a locally owned bike shop should be... a quirky and fun community hub that's a veritable candy store for cycling enthusiasts while remaining welcoming and accessible for first-time or more casual riders.
The selection of bikes, accessories, and apparel is well-curated and there's always something fun to discover that you often won't find at the corporately owned bike shops that are all too common these days.
The service technicians are always super friendly, no matter what oddball (aka I tried to fix it myself) situation I bring to them.
And be sure to check out their assortment of plants and succulents. It's always fun to go to a bike shop and bring home a new friend.”
“I called and ordered an arrangement for my daughter’s birthday. Spoke with Barbara and she is absolutely amazing!! She’s so helpful and accommodating. She had the arrangement prepared and delivered to my daughter in under two hours of my call. She sent me text message pictures of the flowers, when the delivery person left and when they were delivered. My daughter LOVED her bouquet, so did I. THANK YOU BARBARA for making my daughter’s birthday extra special.”
“Walking into this store excited me. They have a beautiful curation of bonsais and unique plants at a surprisingly affordable price (with the pots) the owner Felix seems really sweet and personable and we look forward to going back!”
“We always go to Armstrong for our holiday trees and decorations. This year we had a little problem and were helped by a gentleman by the name of Paul. Paul was professional and courteous and helped without hesitation! What a great experience. Thank you Paul!”
“I went this morning to buy a star jasmine vine and two privets to plant. Craig was very helpful and even stop by to deliver locally in Pasadena!
Keep it Family owned!”
“Great ? prices and they have a big inventory everything for gardening ?? one stop shop also the work crew super knowledgeable they know it all they walk you through every type of project big or small house ? type like this gravel I laid out”
“For the most exotic and the most amazing cactus here in Southern cow this is the place to go. Forget Esty forget Amazon. Do you want generational knowledge in each succulent that you pick up if you want someone to say oh my God that’s amazing this is the place to come.”
“Beautiful little spot. A ton of indoor and outdoor plants. Topiary and trees. I didn't see a variety of fruit trees but plenty of shade and privacy trees. They take zelle or cash. The gentleman was super helpful.”
“This is my first time in this store and I'm very happy. The people who serve are very attentive to the customer, especially Mr. Charlie, an excellent person.”
“I’d probably shop here if prices were slightly higher than other nursery options but since it’s slightly cheaper Bellefontaine is a no brainer if you live anywhere in the area. Why? Friendly, knowledgeable service provided by a small, local business that offers fair, competitive pricing.
What’s not there? Fancy merchandising, for one. No displays, no hard sell— walking through the nursery is to navigate a maze in search of treasure. And that’s the other thing: the selection is well curated but not vast. You could call it limited. There are natives but not like Theodore Payne. There are veggies but no like Armstrong.
But unless you seek a Whole Foods experience that leaves you inspired but exhausted, Bellefontaine Nursery has enough gems spread across its many micro-aisles to keep most gardeners sated.”
“They are the best! They try to please and have their customers happy. It’s my preferred flower shop. Fresh flowers, deliver at time and always try to communicate with their customer to keep them pleased with what they are delivering. I recommend this flower shop”
“Thank you, 247Gard, for your outstanding service! Your team made our event run seamlessly from start to finish. From my very first conversation with your staff to the end of the event, everything was handled professionally and flawlessly. I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Highly recommended!”
“I've been shopping at this Pasadena location for almost 2 years. Every single time I've been there, I've had incredible customer service.
Their knowledge of plants is incredible, and much appreciated.
Sherry is always so delightful. Always welcomes me by name, she has helped me so much, she is truly an asset to the company. I get disappointed if she is off when I go in. Also, David, he is extremely helpful. I am disabled and he is always willing to pick things up for me. He is always more than happy to help me load the car.
I plan to shop there for all my gardening needs!”
“Garden View Nursery is lovely. Easy access and parking. Staff knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are very good. Our new bougainvillea tree looks great on our 23rd floor downtown balcony. Thank you.”

“Best prices ive seen for plants and they are well taken care of. Mom and Pop shop with friendly staff. They make sure to help as much as they can. I come here for my plants when I need them for events as well as house plants.”
“I was at a large orange hardware store and wanting to purchase sod, though they had a small 12x12 square for 13 bucks!! I called Avalon Nursery, they can pre-order sod, but they have to have a few pre-orders, which is fine. Sod is expensive and doesn't have a lengthy shelf life. Anyhow, She had another customer who was wanting it, she will have it this weekend. This is a family owned and ran business. So why not make my purchase from a family owned business. I will also be picking up a few trees and citronella bushes. If they don't have it, ask, they might be able to get it. Thank you Avalon Nursery.”
“I had a great experienced with this business. The attention was amazing! They helped me pick my bonsai tree, I picked a different pot and they repotted it for me and add it a nice little rock. I love it!
I have the plant at home for 2 months now, yet it is my first time dealing with a Bonsai Tree and I am learning how to deal with a fungus/mildew ? problem which i have lost 60% of of the leaves, but no regrets on buying from them.
I will go there to get a second one for my balcony.”
“By far the best nursery in the area with special and unique plants plus everything you could desire for your garden. The entrance with the water fall and pond is the landscape of my dreams.”
“I work next door to the nursery and I had a plant emergency lol. I had accidently knocked over my co-worker plant pot and completely broke it. Lucky for me all I had to do was walk across the street to the nursey and had Randy help me out and he was able to sell me a new pot and replant my co-workers plant! And I couldn't be so happy and he was a such a chill guy and was so nice and patience with my situation. I will go back if I have any dilemmas and need any plants or plant pots in the future.”
“I purchased orchids and vases for my DIY centerpieces for a friend's birthday party. Good selections of orchids of different varieties, sizes, and colors. Staff are very helpful. They have sample arrangements for inspo. Big plus is the free parking.”
“What a cool spot to host an event, aesthetic-wise (not sure financially if it's a good price lol)! I was here to attend a wellness event and I was impressed with the size of the spot and the varied options indoors and outdoors for whatever you need to host.
Inside, there was enough room for a stage for speakers, a little backstage area for the speakers to congregate, counter space to serve food and drinks, space to sell merchandise, and an almost enclosed space for a separate session. Outdoors, there was seating for meals and open grassy and first space with tents for any outdoor programming.
The event organizers rented some fancy outdoor temporary restrooms, so I'm unsure if Rolling Greens has restrooms at all or if they had restrooms, but it wasn't sufficient for our large gathering.
I saw there was also parking available inside the gates that you can close, though for the event I attended, the parking spots were not utilized and we had to take the drawn parking spots outside, find street parking (which wasn't too bad), or do valet.”
“First time going with my girl , went a little bit late , we didn't really have enough time to check all the place . Whatever we were able to see, they have a nice variety of indoor and outdoor plants, we will definitely go again soon , the guys are very nice, and helpful. We recommend this nursery to those plant lovers.”
“The owner is super friendly and very knowledgeable. He speaks both English and Taiwanese Mandarin fluently, and their employees also speak Spanish, which makes the whole experience even better and more welcoming.
They have a really pretty collection of plants, and the prices are honestly very reasonable. Parking was easy since there’s street parking and also a parking lot. Only thing to remember is to bring cash. Definitely recommend checking this place out.”
“In 2006, l purchased a portable Honda generator from this company. Over time the unit, began exhibiting hard-starting issues as a result of poor upkeep maintenance on my part. It finally stopped operating about (4) years ago.Last week, after years of just sitting in my hangar, l was going to discard the unit. Prior to discard, last week, l decided to give Garvey Equipment a call to determine if it was possible to salvage my unit. Garvey staff, George, advised that after listening to my situation, that in his opinion my old generator could be repaired. As such, l took the generator to Garvey, and in two days, George called and reported my unit was serviced and ready for pickup.I found both George and John (owner) quite cordial & professional.Their professional services & courtesy saved me the price of buying a new unit.”
“Yuka totally knocked it out of the park! I called from NYC to get flowers delivered for my wife who was staying nearby on a work trip, and the only prompt was « burgundy ». The resulting arrangement was a complete stunner - everyone was dazzled by it :)”
“Lovely Guatemalan plant store. Family owned business that has coffee, plants and phones. Prices are affordable and have different variety of Guatemalan “típico” merchandise.
Very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend if you are looking for plants, coffee or looking to support a local business for your wireless necessities.”
“I shop at Home Depot for all of my household and property needs. Prices are reasonable. They have always had what I need when I'm looking for specific items. The staff has always been helpful and friendly.”
“I always shopping to this Home Depot. I sometimes need to return some items and there's workers who are rude and look depressed to be working. Although, a young girl whom I always see customer service helped me a couple days ago. She told me her name was Jen and she was nicest person there who has so far helped me return some gardening items. In the past I've been helped by grouch older ladies that don't seem to have that spark of energy that this young lady has. I feel Home Depot needs to change a couple people from there mostly the older ladies because their mean sometimes or seem to not want to help. How can you work at the customer service department and not have a smile on ones face!. That is outrageous! Although my rating is based on this young lady who I believe is the sweetest.”
