Loved the fudge here especially, but would also recommend the taffy and taffy apples.

I am a local in Monterey. Walked the wharf late last night with my dogs and came in for a sweet treat. Got a chocolate covered banana with marshmallows. Was told $6 and some change. I woke up this morning with a $20 dollar charge on my account. The receipt it took faded to read.

Too expensive! I bought two small sweets and they charged US16. They are good but not worth that money

Stopped in to grab the kids some candies apples. Fun flavors like rocky road, M&M, turtle pecan and s’mores. Candy looked decent but prices were steep.
Parking: Parking is a bit of a walk from the store and is paid until 8PM
Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly but if you take them in be prepared to come out with some sweets!

The owner of this establishment is wonderful and cares about her patrons and products. Over 55 years in the business of making Salt Water Taffy. I lived in Monterey County for 40 years and loved going to this candy store. Since I moved away I hadn't had her salt water taffy in a while. I went back to visit and accidentally bought my friend some sugar free taffy. Unfortunately she couldn't eat it because sugar free products cause her migraines. I contacted the candy store and told them what happened and the owner graciously sent my friend a regular taffy. I am so grateful for her generosity. That is a wonderful business owner who cares. Please support this amazing business owner and her unbelievably delicious salt water taffy.

I got a chocolate and walnut turtle, but the caramel was surprisingly really bland? Besides this, I got fudge with walnuts, and omg, it's so good! Overall, for 5 pieces of candy, I spent 30 dollars? and the lady looked like she didn't want to be working there? might come back. I'm not too sure, tho?♀️

This place never disappoints. The best taffy ever AND you can watch it being made in the window. The chocolate covered strawberry was delicious and adorable lol. It is a fantastic experience for the kiddos too

Purchased taffy here on a recent visit to Monterey for my Father-in-Law. He liked the taffy and wanted more. Ordered two more packages via their website. Taffy never arrived at his home and they are not responding to emails requesting a status on the order. Beware!

Over priced, inedible candy and stale popcorn. This has got to be a tourist trap for sure. Went in on my birthday and there are no prices posted. Asked 1/2 lb of one and 1/2 lb of another. Got a medium popcorn and ONE piece of almond bark and it cost me $62! OMG.. crazy. I would have been ok with that if the candy wasn’t totally dry and disgusting.. Here it sits, only 2 pieces eaten, 2 days later. Even our 8 year old refuses to eat it so it’s going to be $62 in the garbage. Never again.. 0/10 recommend. I wish I had my money back cuz I could have gotten TWO LBS of delicious See’s candy for that price.

Jason (young man with braces) Think I remember his name right, helped me today. Very professional and helpful. Great employee. Been coming here for years. Probably three times if not four times a year. Cotton candy. Milk chocolate turtles. Fudge with walnuts. Milk chocolate rocky road. Rocky road candy apple. All packaged in cute gold boxes. Spend over $50 and receive a free small caramel corn. Prices are fair. Quality is fresh. Service is kind. Place can get busy but well worth the wait. Most times when I visit the wharf is to pick up my sugar fix. I don't park in the parking lot. I park by Benihana's or in the loading zone parking circle. Park. Go into store. Leave. Free parking for in and out shopping.
