Wonderful stay. I booked for 2 nights & the room was nice & clean. Unfortunately the TV, in my opinion, was too small & I couldn't turn it on. Other than that, I recommend staying here ??

Room and bathroom were renovated and SPOTLESS, the mattress was firm and comfortable, and plenty of parking. Front desk staff super friendly. Breakfast diner is close walking distance, CVS is close walking distance. Seriously, I'm very picky; I would stay here again. Bravo!

Close to the wharf, looks like everything was very recently updated and we'll maintained. We were surprised that the double rooms had no doors, so our family had to book a second room upon arrival but otherwise rooms are good and clean. TV was just static. Plenty of parking spaces and gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating!Rooms: Rooms are recently upgraded, and feel relatively new

The absolute worst beds! My fiance and I could not sleep at all. The beds are hard, and the pillows are bricks. My neck hurts and I have a headache from trying to sleep here. The blankets aren't even warm, and they're very thin. If you stay here bring your own blankets and pillows. Sure the room looks nice at first, but the whole point of a hotel is to get a good night's sleep, and that is impossible here. ALSO there seems to be a big ant problem. Which is not fun to wake up and find an army of ants in your bathroom when you're trying to get ready for the day.

This was an amazing location . I was taken care of from the first phone call I made. They were friendly over the phone and very understanding over the phone and it was the same experience in person. I would recommend it to everyone especially if you are a scuba diver like myself. This is a diver friendly hotel and they have area to rinse your gear. Which is a plus. I was able to connect with a potential new dive buddy that I met at this hotel. They have all type of rooms all the way down to a cottage with a jacuzzi . If you are a driver and see this message you will appreciate it. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions social media @iamblackscubabear @bearblessingsMarioRooms: Room very clean and sanitizedNearby activities: Scuba diving ,Free diving ,Kayaking ,Whale Watching ,Bird watching ,fishing Dining photography of all type.Safety: I cannot speak for other people’s experiences but what I can tell you about mines is that I felt safe.Noteworthy details: Just have to experience this location

Great place for an overnight visit to Monterey. Room was nice and had a mini fridge and microwave. We had a two bedroom room, but there was no door to the second room. The second room could have also used a side table for cell phones, etc. Also, the spa/jacuzzi building had a "permanently closed" sign. Overall, I would stay there again.Nearby activities: A short drive away from Fisherman's Wharf and Monterey Aquarium.

One of my preferred value hotels when staying in Monterey. It is clean, quiet and comfortable. The price is very reasonable. Also seems to be recently renovated. The location is really good. I only have one issue, there are no black-out curtains (they use wood slatted blinds) and the light leakage from the bright parking lot lights at night is very annoying to my sleep. I wish they would address this issue in the future.

Fair priced rooms. Very very clean with easy parking. No continental breakfast and nothing special in the rooms but at $50-60 you get what you need. I think they have hot tube rooms also for a little more $ of course.Nearby activities: Restaurants right down the street(walking distance) and close to Monterey and Beaches.

Our overall stay was nice, the room was clean, the kitchen and bath counters looked new and the location was perfect and the diver rinse area was great. If I were to rate the hotel I would give it a 1.5 and an extra 0.5 for the rinse area making it a total of 2 stars. The reason is there were so many things either wrong or we did not have based on the website info that instead of getting upset we could only laugh at it. We were in room #46. At first glance, it was like a clean old house with old furniture. I had to fix 1 end table drawer, the drawer for the desk and stove because all were off their slider. Half of the drapes were unhooked and hanging down. Things I found later was that the fireplace only worked on one temp and the flame light didn't work. The fan had no way to turn it on. When I asked I was told it wasn't supposed to work because we had AC but room #1 that was remodeled had both and they both worked. The kitchen chairs were all rusted. Most of the cabinets would not close. Also, upon reading the website info, it said we should have a safe, flowers, and cable channels. We didn't have the first 2 and if we had cable channels we could find them. I do have pictures of everything and for the cost of our room, I think we were overcharged. One other problem is the firepit. There isn't a sign on it saying it was out of order. Our group had a gathering there and two of the guys had to go fill the propane tank and the pilot and control never worked properly. We were able to make it work but it should be repaired or replaced. To me, it appears there are new owners of the hotel and they have overlooked many things while trying to remodel it.We weren't the only people in our group that had issues and that's why it all became comical. The sad part is I was the one who told everyone to stay at the Lone Oak based on info I received from friends a couple of years back.Rooms: I was told the remolded room were nice. I just can't say that for the room we had which you can see in the pictures plus it was more expensive because it had the kitchen.Walkability: Great location and you can walk to restaurants and grocery stores for any needed supplies.

Monterrey Bay Aquarium is 10 minutes away.Safety: We felt safe at this hotel.Walkability: There are convenient stores, pharmacies and restaurants close by.

This was a last minute booking and we were very pleasantly surprised by how great the room was— not sure if it’s been newly renovated but it gives off that vibe. Super friendly owner and we’d 100% stay here again if we’re in the area in the future.

Owners are very nice and accommodating! Room is clean, location is on a busy street. Room has shutters but they do not keep the bright parking lot lights from shining through. Shades would be a good addition.
