Dan is the manager and is fantastic. Rooms were more than expected at this price point. Clean with new mattresses and bedding this year. For a guest in a budget I highly recommend.

This is my go-to motel whenever I visit Monterey. It’s in walking distance to multiple shops, grocery stores, restraints, etc. Dan is always so accommodating, even with last minute reservations & the price is more than fair. I would recommend to anybody & everybody!

Dan the man! We were kindly greeted by Dan, who offered us a room upgrade and gave us a gift to get us through the evening. Our stay was absolutely marvellous thanks to him, it was nice meeting you buddy!

It was a nice place, dont expect the Waldorf Astoria, a nice place for the price. The front desk was fantastic! Very friendly and accommodating.

For a Rodeway inn, the service I got here was definitely 5-star service! I was greeted by the manager and he offered to show me the exact room I'd be getting before making my decision, which was very thoughtful. Upon checking in he offered my 2yr old daughter a juice pouch which she LOVED! Then he walks us back to the room so he could grab an extra softer blanket for her. Man this guy made me feel like I was at a 5-star hotel. Will stay again

Really clean, quiet, and incredibly priced place to stay when in Monterey. The manager Den, is very accommodating and kind. It's centrally located and really safe. New mattresses! Great place!

Location and cleanliness were great (besides a backed up bathroom floor drain). We did have a late check in and called multiple times to confirm that only to be lectured by the owner that late check ins are normally not acceptable when we arrived, otherwise it was a great stay.

I have been going to Monterey for years. My recent stay at the Roadway Inn near downtown was fabulous. The management were welcoming and extremely helpful, which is rare these days. I have two small dogs and they were incredibly helpful in providing me with locations that were dog friendly. The room was very comfortable and good value for money. The location was very convenient and easy to get to the main attractions for the area but far enough away from the tourists to allow for peace to enjoy the tranquil area. Wonderful place to stay and I will definitely go back.

Digen really went way out of his way to help us. Mad hospitality.
Also the room was clean and we slept really well. It’s right next to the mall and the prices were also the best in the area. 10/10 would recommend.

Clean and nice rooms with new-appearing furniture and nice mini fridge. The staff were very nice, and graciously accommodated us when we had something pop up that made us concerned we wouldn’t be able to check in. The location is excellent. We’d stay again!

The receptionist was exceptionally nice and very helpful whenever we called to ask for more towels or inquire about things to do nearby. The bed was fairly comfortable as were the pillows. Unfortunately, the room was in need of some renovations with the bathroom especially showing age and signs of maybe not being super well cleaned from previous guests (there appeared to be poop on the wall near the toilet). The room also had an odd smell that was rather off putting for our stay and the AC unit/fan was very loud making clanging noises randomly throughout the night. For the price, it was about what I expected, except for the poop wall. That may have lost a few stars.
