The agent didn't show up for an apartment viewing we scheduled a few days earlier. When I called the office they told me there is a deposit on that apartment already. Sadly they forgot to let me now and cancel our meeting.

extremally unprofessional, they will not contact you whatsoever and will continuously lead you on regardless on whether or not they have made a decision or not. I do not recommend renting with these people, there are plenty of alternatives in the area.

Yeah, this is well deserved 1 star business. I do not have much time to write down review, but this business "inspired" me.Leasing office - rude, not respect to customer, do not pickup phone after you filled application (though, they answer if you call from different number). Story:We filled one application within filing fee and got rejected. Ok we filled second application within cosigner (solid case: score + income) and I realized, they just collect fee and not going to review applications for next 2 weeks (despite the fact previous app was rejected quickly). I indicated in application move in date (in first application it was the same), and according to landlord, they won't review it before movie date. So, I politely claimed to withdrawal application, and do not consider me as applicant as well as not to cash out filling fee....Representative from leasing office become mad and demonstrated her "customer obsession". I never encountered in US such behaviour toward customer. For whatever reason landlord considered my personal information (PII) as company possession, giving me no way to withdrawal application. CCPA in California is pretty popular, but Vega investment do not respect it. Vega property management, if you read ^^, consult with lawyer(s) to make sure you are legal business. Looking at past reviews, I'm not alone. Avoid this property management company.

Avoid renting from any property Vega manages. The worst rental company I have ever leased from. They will not answer any emails or calls. You have to physically go into the office to get any response and when you do the staff are completely unprofessional and rude. They will do anything to try to hold onto the security deposit at time of move out. We did not receive our security deposit until more than 21 days after we moved and the only reason they mailed it was because we emailed and called several times and finally went in person. They then double charged us for a maintenance fee to hang curtains that they requested were dry cleaned so we left them in the bag for dry cleaning. They never returned the rest of our deposit. On the day I was moving out they were sending people to view the apartment without ever informing me so as I am moving boxed people were showing up for tours. They also forgot about the scheduled final walk through and only showed up 1 hour later after I called several times. They also did not even have our original lease on file when we announced we were moving out and when I followed up about the move out date they tried to say we didn’t give 30 days although we had emailed and spoken with them in person regarding it.

Coming from a person that never writes reviews. I feel like Id be doing a disservice to humanity if I didn't warn others about this place. I truly can't believe this place is still in business. I wish the worst thing I could say is that they were rude and unprofessional but the fact is they are downright criminals and thieves. PLEASE do not put yourself through the trouble.

They are horrible. Non-responsive most of the time. When they do respond, it's always rude and without taking any responsibility. Every interaction feels unnecessarily bad. Like dealing with spoiled family members and friends that have never had a real job.

If I could give this office no stars I would. I had the apartment cleaned when I moved out. It cost me 300.00. The apartment had old stained carpet. I also got a bill for a plumbing problem. It stated I had flushed cat litter down the toilet. I am an environmentalist. I would never do that, nor did I. It is harmful to the ocean and Sea otters. The new tenant downstairs had the plumbing problem. However this horrible management company, scammers made me pay which meant they kept all of my cleaning deposit. Also they said I had to replace the 8 year old carpet. I spent 300.00 to have the apartment cleaned when I moved out. When I had my move in inspection by Christal who is no longer an employee there she took pictures of the stained and worn carpet . My point is I would have been better off renting am apartment anywhere else that wasn't associated with these slumlords. If you want to live here you will be harrased with all the flyers taped to your door. Good luck and expect bad management.

Don’t apply here for rental. They are big scammers, they will take your money but have no follow up with your application. I applied twice and paid for their application’ fees, but I never get any news from them. I think they are best for scamming people then a place to look for housing. I would gave them zero if there was a option.

I would stay away from this rental company. There are many reviews saying they unfairly keep deposits and overcharge, and I should have listened to them. They use lies and excuses to keep your money from you no matter how well you take care of their property.

Terrible company! Save your time and money with these people. We were first time renters and we decided to go with Vega for our first application. We applied for one of their properties and was denied for credit but we had a co-signer with perfect credit scores. Then we were told that our application couldn’t even be used for ANY of their future listings. Makes absolutely no sense. We both got higher paying jobs and better credit and they started to ignore our calls and finally answered with stating they’ve told us they will no longer look at our applications again. These people have so many “affordable” housing they’re leasing out and yet we can’t apply for a single one of them anymore? SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!

unfortunately, I feel like I've been a victim of fraud just no way to prove it. I applied for a property on Crescent Avenue along with filling out a money order and turning it in. A few weeks go by , I haven't received an update. I also monitor my credit very closely I didn't get a inquiry on my credit report from this company so I decided to reach out and figure out what was going on with my money order. Coincidentally after filling out a Google review I get a call back stating "The owner passed on my application" explain to me what do you mean by "passed" because if I didn't qualify based off what I put down on my application you could have simply giving me back my money order considering you had no intentions on running a background or credit check based off what I placed on the application therefore there was no need to keep my money order for a background or credit check . The lady also informed me that they reached out and left a voicemail absolutely positively a lie ! they never reached out to me or somebody wasn't paying attention and called the wrong number. let's make it make sense you guys left that property up for advertisement so people would continue to give you guys money orders and the company could pocket the money. you had no intentions on renting to those people because the property more than likely was already rented and you already had a tenant. xoxo

20 years after the fact, and I still have to tell folx not to rent from these horrible humans. They're not just slumlords, they have zero empathy for anything living. Let's just talk about the scams they ran on the nonprofit educational Aquarium membership policies, to begin with. Maybe also the crumbling stuff they'll blame on you before they take your deposit. Or mushrooms growing from a leaky pipe they refused to fix for 6 months. Or the overhead pipes leaking into the paint and creating giant bubbles of rotting fluid. Can I list more examples? Yes. But there's only so much space to complain here. Money is king with Vega, so is selling your soul for it. Eff this disgusting, exploitative company and every single complicit person in their employ.
