Since Peter the pharmacist has left , this place has definitely gone downhill. Long waits for medication. Saying they call the doctors for refills when they haven't ! I'm done !

My husband and I got our Covid shots here! The pharmacist took us early and took us at the same time. Painless! The cashier at the pharmacy was patient and helpful! Five stars. New Covid vaccination cards were handed to us I requested.

This store exceeds expectations. I have my orders delivered and it's all so fast and easy. This store has stock in store and use Door Dash so orders typically arrive in far less than an hour. A big plus is the staff understands how to use the Walgreens app to communicate with me, manage prescription refills, etc. They work smart, reduce waste and impress every time. Conversely, when I shopped the Seaside store (as I did for years and years and years...) they very rarely had stock in hand, were severely understaffed, couldn't figure out the app functions and delivered items via three day FedEx. Order three prescriptions? They ship them separately. Not smart, wasteful and frustrating. What a mess. Walgreen's on Alvarado is a gem.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION FOR COVID VACINE. I had an appointment for my 95 year old Mom. Have been waiting an hour. There are unmasked people standing in the area and staff will not enforce state mask mandate. STAY AWAY

They do take tricare now but the pharmacist will begrudgingly let you know how he annoyed he is that tricare is your insurance. My bill was still $70. I will not be returning to fill anything here. I can't help that we use tricare with the military, and a pharmacist should leave his opinion and attitude out of filling prescriptions.

Bad customer service! Rude employees, especially a middle aged (maybe) Indian woman who is the cashier. She snatched the cash out of my hand and proceeded to toss the change at me.

I've never seen such contempt for customers. They advertise sales and rebates but don't have the products in stock or don't offer the advertised price. They claim that they are out of rebate forms even if you go in at 8:00 on the first day of the sale. Why not just spit on the customers while you're at it?

The cashiers have zero training in customer service. Do not greet, rude at check out.

They had what I needed, but they also had what whole bunch of homeless people needed. Because while I was in there shopping and I watched a clan of the homeless walk out with about $200 and liquor. Does it the register just watched and smile. When I mentioned it they pretended like they had no idea what I was talking about.

This is by far one of the worst Walgreens in our area. The entrance always has undesirable homeless hanging out panhandling or harassing customers. Most items advertised in the weekly fliers are rarely available and often shelves aren't well stocked. Staff at this location are also no longer helpful or friendly and it's just not worth the hassle to shop here. I prefer going to other area Walgreens stores or even CVS.

I used to like this Walgreens. But the place is totally out of control now. Shelves are less than organized, they don't have enough cashiers, you have walk through a gauntlet of local "characters" to get in and out of the store, and late on Saturday afternoon, I counted at least five customers walking around with no masks for preventing the spread of COVID-19. I don't go into a pharmacy to get sick. Unlike area CVS stores, which have guards at the entrances, Walgreens has no deterrent to selfish people who think it's a joke that a contagion has 115,000 American lives (and counting). This store is a gold mine, with constant customers coming in from Monterey's main drag. They can afford to hire a guard. I'll do my shopping elsewhere, where they consider my life worth living.

Very rude employees. Shopped extensively and then asked to use the public bathroom. The cashier told me the door was open when I went to the back the employee told me that the pharmacy was closed so therefore the bathroom was closed. I have a Walgreens card and I'm a long time loyal customer. I will never step foot again into this Walgreens.

No parking. You have to hoof it. Not totally their fault, but when my husband suddenly came down with a cold and needed meds on our mini vacation...yeah, it wasn't good. So we hoofed it, in the rain, with a stroller and two kids under 3. I came down with a stomach bug suddenly. I asked to use the restroom and was rudely told there isn't one. So we quickly walked to the cold meds section...they're out of stock on non-drowsy Coricidin. GREAT! Even after I called ahead and was told it would be "at the register for you!" It was a horrible experience.
