A true hardware store with stuff you actually need and not what corporate giants want to push on to you
I see a lot of the smaller brands that corporate chains push out because they're not able to buy or own those brands
The kind of place I like to walk around and just look at everything that I haven't seen before

CASH ONLY BUSINESS!
Came in for a simple part and an employee at checkout told me their tap system hardly ever works and that “everyone should carry cash on them”. Sure enough all of the cards I tried were not going through. He seemed to know the corner store had an ATM though (I’m sure this is an often occurrence for them). I didn’t want to drive to Simi valley Home Depot I opted to take the ATM fee and pull some cash out. Upon coming back a man who seemed like owner went to check me out and really didn’t seem to care at all about the issue. Said he doesn’t have a lot of people come in using cards and didn’t seem to care at all if I came in the first place. Definitely will take the drive to Simi next time! Would rather feed a big chain like Home Depot than these guys. Get with the times!

Stopped in here for a first aid emergency. Staff was super friendly, helpful, and shared their first aid kit.

It was my 1st visit and I was so surprised that they had the rare and hard to find things I asked about. They were quick and helpful. I'm going to be telling my friends about them.

Such a local treasure. Been around for a few generations in Moorpark. They have almost everything you need and are always great to talk to.

The bad customer service is completely unnecessary. You walk in, you feel like you’re trespassing. Didn’t realize I’d encounter the unfunny version of Statler and Waldorf.

Got what I needed, and I like the old school feel of the store, but I can see how people might find the employees to be a bit abrasive, though knowledgeable.

It was good to find a hardware store in town. Pretty decent selection. My issue is that some employees there were discussing their political views and saying all kinds of nonsense that to them may not sound racist. Won't be going back I'd guess supporting local small businesses is not always such a great idea.

My wife went here the other day to ask for help and told me she was received with a very hostile attitude. I went back today. I have lived here about 10 years and try to support local business. Have been here a good number of times for small items. Each time have experienced mild attitude but never minded it. Today I go on and greeted by very sarcastic demeanor and rudeness by young guy. Owner ambles over and tells me he has never seen me in the store and essentially inviting me to leave. I was asking the store for a favor but young guy seemed uninterested in helping. I was very frustrated by the attitude and expressed same at which point the younger guy completely changed his demeanor and was super helpful and kind. But really. This place seems to have a business model that says "greet customer rudely, with disdain and hostility". Irony is that the store is almost always empty. Today was the last day I give my business to this place.
