Teddy Bear Coin Laundry is a well-established laundromat located in the Rheem Valley Shopping Center in Moraga, serving the community for over three decades. The facility is surrounded by various conveniences, including cafes, restaurants, and a movie theater, making it a one-stop destination for customers. While the reviews praise the cleanliness and safety of the laundromat, some customers have expressed concerns about the reliability of the machines. Some have reported issues with the coin machines not accepting coins or being too particular, leading to frustration. Additionally, the high cost of the machines, with a wash cycle costing up to $3.75, has been a point of contention for some customers. The laundromat is largely self-service, with minimal staff presence, which some customers have found to be both a positive and a negative aspect. While the lack of staff can contribute to the peaceful and serene atmosphere, it also means that customers are left to deal with any issues that may arise on their own. Despite these challenges, many customers have found the Teddy Bear Coin Laundry to be a convenient and accessible option for their laundry needs, particularly when combined with the nearby shops and eateries. However, the overall consensus suggests that the facility could benefit from improved machine maintenance and a more attentive staff presence to enhance the customer experience.
I’ve been using this place for many years, but it has become very rundown. Dirty floors, machines that smell, only one of the three change machines works, big puddle under one of the washers, etc. I don’t know if anybody is looking after it, other than opening and closing the doors.

This place was a bummer to visit until the new owner took over a year and a half ago, or so. They clean every day, which makes a difference on the front-loaders especially. He's been responsive when I had an issue with a machine. Plus it's roomy, which is nice in these times.
