The pharmacist George is TERRIBLE he told me to wait 15 minutes in the chairs provided, after waiting over an 1 hour and 30 minutes I go up and a see what's going on with my prescription. Mind you this is the first time I have used this pharmacy. He claims he didn't see me sitting there sitting there after we had made eye contact multiple times. I said you have been calling the names of the pickups but I didn't hear mine. George pops off with Mabee the girl calling the prescription has something against you. WAY OUT OF LINE to say. Instead of something like I'm so sorry we are busy. I told him I wasn't feeling good and I could have waited the hour half at my home, then he goes on to say YOU LOOK FINE TO ME, rude. I just got out of a three day hospital stay fighting for my life for some pill popping pharmacist to tell me that I'm fine. Definitely never coming back to this pharmacy again. I would rather drive 20 minutes to SLO to pick up anything because thy would have probably been more timely and less demeaning.
You can see the years of drug abuse in these pharmacists it's really sad to see someone high on pills trying to work I bet the hour and a half only did feel like 15 minutes to someone on pills
I already called cooperate and filled a report because of how terrible my experience was here.

Generally Rite Aide has a good drug rating with me but two weeks ago they stopped offering their Pay and Go home delivery. That is a deal breaker as I had a stroke and had a hard time standing in their 20-person lines. I only got my $500 per month blood thinner drug from Pharmacy Direct in Canada. Rite aide provided me for other prescriptions. I'm reconsidering where I order my drugs now because pf no delivery.

Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. They must be majorly understaffed. I called in a prescription on Sunday and it didn't get filled until Wednesday. This is the second time that's happened. I had to drive 12 miles to get my prescriptions filled in SLO because I needed them. I've had enough. Never again.

George in the pharmacy is always super nice and helpful, explains why meds aren’t ready yet which is rarely the fault of the kind people in the pharmacy.
Most of the regular cashiers are friendly and helpful in my experience and contribute to a pretty positive vibe :)
Store itself sometimes is out of things, but nothing that you can’t get elsewhere
Thank you guys!

I was in the pharmacy to pick up my medecine prescribed , and the lady on the counter showed a grotest attitud toward me because she didn't understand my name which was already printed on she made me feel like if she is going to give me my medecine for free ; she looked really upset to me perhaps she doesn't like hispanic people , but i think she has to show some profesionalism at work and theat everyone the same putting away her personal preferences outside the work. This happened on june 11 around 4 pm and the lady looked asian . Next time i need this service i will changed to another pharmacy.

Helen in the pharmacy lied to my Mother and said she would not save on her Rx’s using GoodRx. I said please check and she refused to. George in the pharmacy did and saved my Mother $120. Some employee training is needed for Helen!!! 5 Stars for George!!!

The only pharmacy in town (because Riteaid bought out locally owned and operated Morro Bay Drug & Gift--just to close it) is sad.
There is more booze and chips options than there anything for your wellbeing, all of which you can get nextdoor at Albertsons.
It seems like whoever is in charge of stocking shelves is focused on seasonal decorations, makeup and junk food than what our community really needs.
Seriously neglected. Could do so much better. Our community deserves better.

Their customer service is really awful. I was going to ask a cashier a question, and she put her hand up to my face to stop me from asking. I said, "You did not put your hand up to me." She made a lame excuse. There's more, but I called corporate to report this. About a week later, I got a call from a manager apologizing for this cashier. One last thing: Rite Aid has a price guarantee where if an item rings up higher than the posted price, you get that item free. It has to be on the same day.

I left this pharmacy because of how many issues I had with their errors. I switched back after a year thinking maybe things got better. Nope. They continue to fill prescriptions without running them through insurance and are just lazy. They run you through “good rx” as your insurance thinking you won’t notice they’re using a coupon instead of your actual insurance. I shouldn’t have to pay anything with my insurance and notice each time they try to convince me “it’s only a few dollars”. It’s the principle! My meds are covered and they won’t run them through insurance. I wait WEEKS to get my meds because I keep coming in to purchase them and they keep trying to make me pay out of pocket since they don’t run them through insurance. They constantly blame you, your medication, your insurance, your prescriber for needing to get “pre-authorization” in order to get your meds- when this is something they can, should and must do themselves especially after telling a customer they will. These are just my current issues. I had a family member be given someone else’s meds a few years ago and be frantically called asking them to return that afternoon. I also a year ago had them give me only half my medication! (This was the reason I left- to get my meds I would have had to file a formal complaint through the state which I didn’t want to bother with- it’s a small town, you don’t want these people making your life harder). Anyways, I thought my meds seemed light walking out the door but came back a few days later when I realized they only gave me half my meds to talk to them about it and they said it’s not possible “I filled it myself” and we show correct numbers of meds in our system so you must have made a mistake and misplaced half your meds?. How many issues can one company have?! After they finally run my current meds I’m leaving this pharmacy to go back to SLO. It’s worth it- no issues, shorter wait times, no pharmacists gaslighting you to pay more when you shouldn’t have to pay at all, no calls to come in for your meds after waiting a week, only to learn they once again never called insurance. They blame me or my insurance for them not getting things authorized. I’ve never had this issue with any other pharmacy- I’m young so I catch their errors, I can only imagine how many old people that make up this town are jerked around by these guys. Last time they sent me to the “issues” window (no other pharmacy has such a need for this like morro bay rite aid does) and this poor old woman was arguing with them because, like me, they didn’t run her insurance correctly! This town has a lot of old people- and this pharmacy takes advantage of that and gets away with so much. Terrible service!

apparently Rite-aid are now doctors, who when getting a refill order from a doctor. count the number of pills prescribed and says "TOO SOON" Rite aid are dumbasses who don't understand dosages might be adjusted. and in which a patient might require more tabs to remain on the DOCTORS ORDERS.. but then I once got 100MG tabs as part of a 50MG bottle. they are egg shaped. compared to an oval. How can any moron, pass the test to be a pharmacist and mistake two shapes? really questionable intelligence with those morons

Amazing customer service! Nothing but good experiences coming here, been using their pharmacy for years. They are always willing to help with a smile.
