My only experience with Taco Temple was several years ago, when I put out a stranger's motorcycle fire in the parking lot using a fire extinguisher provided to me by an employee. The owner came outside after the fact to chew me out for discharging his fire extinguisher. I would figure having a motorcycle burn down just feet from your restaurant might be a bigger issue for you as a businessman, but then I've never had to pay to recharge a 10lb fire extinguisher. The waitress did bring us a free side of guacamole as a "sorry my boss got upset that you put out the fire in his parking lot" gesture, which was lovely of her. The food is also so-so; Chapala is about three blocks away and has much better food with less wait time at about half the price. Then again, this is the only local restaurant I can recall getting in trouble for selling cocaine out of the kitchen, so if you need some yay with your tacos this might be the place for you.

Great vegetarian food. I love the black bean and cheese taquitos with small salad. It's so much food I can make two meals out of it. The Kind veggie burrito is also very good.Vegetarian options: See above

It’s 25 years young! I come here for the amazing fresh wild fish salads that masquerade as tacos. Super generous portions. Carnitas platter is also amazing and enough for 2. Desserts are tasty and huge. I can make 1 piece of the yummy carrot cake last 3 desserts.North side patio on a 60 degree or above day is super comfortable and chill. Room for dogs and kids to be themselves.Vegetarian options: Burritos and enchiladas are good veggie options.

Taco Temple never disappoints! We always stop here when we are in town. Serving sizes are big and shareable. Chips and salsa are great!

We love Taco Temple. We eat a lot of carne asada in the area, and we rate this restaurant's superior. Other restaurants compete with their carnitas, babacoa and al pastor, but not with the carne adada. It's amazingly perfect. To dine in, there is a relaxing patio with views of the Pacific Ocean across Hwy 1 or indoor seating, and plenty of parking. If you like salad, I recommend the carne asada taco; two soft tortillas topped with carne asada and piled high with fresh greens and flavorful Cilantro Guacamole Dressing, which really ties the room together. Only get one, they are a meal. You start your meal off with home made tortilla chips (at least they seem it) and salsa. I use some of the chips to dip into my taco salad. So darn delicious!! There's a ton of Mexican restaurants around and if your carne of choice is asada, try it at Taco Temple.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. And pet friendly patio.

Ate here for the first time. I ordered the chile rellenos and my wife ordered two tacos. The rellenos came with rice beans and salad. The tacos came with salad. The tacos and salads would get a grade of A, while the chile rellenos would get a grade of C. Service was very good and the wait for our order was minimal. We did share a slice of carrot cake for dessert. The grade for dessert was an A++. We finished the carrot cake the following day. We will give this restaurant another chance when we visit Morro Bay.

Wow. What a nice little place. It fits though with what I think of as great taco joints - not so much focused on a flashy exterior, it’s all put to the food. And put towards the food they do. The portions are about as big as you can get. The food is fantastic. Fish is fresh and delicious, and the carnitas burrito with red sauce was just to die for. This place definitely rates super high on places to eat. One word of caution - the prices do match the sizes, with that same burrito being about 20$. However, it’s great food and well worth the price. Definitely a place we will revisit.

My grandpa loved this place. We came here with a big family group during his funeral weekend. It meant a lot to eat here together one last time. I’m sure he’s smiling down about it.The food was out fast and totally delicious! I got the halibut taco and loved it. We had some toddlers and babies and made a huge mess, but the staff was so nice and accommodating. Thanks Taco Temple! 5/5

We always eat here when we are in town. Everything is always delicious. The enchiladas with red sauce is my go to. I also love their marinated carrots and onions, it’s so good! If you like carrot cake this is the place to get it, it’s amazing! And no raisins! There is usually a wait for take out or dine in since they are so popular, make sure to give yourself some extra time.
