Forgot some things camping. Beach towels were very pricey. The clincher was the clerk cam back from a break of smoking weed, glassy eyes, reeked. Didn't know working high was legal.

Maybe instead of telling everyone to call customer service, you should do something about the horrendous service at your pharmacy.

Was on the hunt for beach towels without driving a far distance. I asked where I might find them and the gentleman working didn't just point actually walked me to the area. Was able to grab some for our trip. Excellent customer service. Wish I got his name. Visit was on 10-10-22 around 5:30pm.Went back to Rite Aid and the same gentleman helped us, so I was able to get his name. Richard has perfect customer service.

I have no idea why this store has such a low rating on yelp. Staff was great. We're from out of town and they helped us find things on every aisle. Staff accompany us to things that were hard to find. What more could you want?

This Rite Aid is located right next to Albertsons so convenient after grocery shopping. They also have Thrifty ice cream inside especially on a hot summer day!!!

I did reach out via email and left my number with the pharmacy manager. Guess how many times they got in contact with me? Zero. Morro Bay Rite Aid--Not a good look.

I had to go here recently for an unexpected tetanus shot when my dog got into a tizzy and bit me in the process of trying to rescue him from an accident. Anyhow I proceeded to the pharmacy counter where I assumed I would need to go to get said shot. I had called ahead to confirm they had them in stock and someone was there who could administer the shot. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone was helpful and pleasant but did not think to mention to me that you don't actually need to stand in the very long 45 minute wait line for the pharmacy pick up when getting a tetanus shot just go to the consult window. Well long line lesson learned the hard way here! So I finally proceed to the proper line to get set up for my shot. And then fill out said forms. And give them my insurance card and payment info. They have trouble processing my insurance. Do they call the number on the insurance card for pharmacy staff to use for help? No! They just demand I pay cash price of $81.99 for the shot. So, I looked online and found a coupon from GoodRx that stated they should give me the shot for less ($50) but they refused to accept it. Stated its corporate policy they cannot accept any coupons for vaccines at their stores. I find that interesting since all the pharmacies I've used in the past have never had a problem using these coupons, including other Rite Aid locations! All in all, a terrible experience. And sadly not the first time I've tried getting something thru this same pharmacy location using my insurance which I assure you is perfectly good and able to be used without issue at every one of their local competitors without any problems or even so much as needing a phone call. So what their pharmacy techs are doing here is beyond me. I call it the bait and switch where they do their best to get you to pay out of pocket for stuff your insurance should be paying for. Because the cash pay pricing is way more than my insurance would pay for this item. I of course got my insurance to reimburse ME for the cost I had to pay, but it was a hassle and I should not have had to do so! As a Healthcare professional myself I do know how to do these things with ease but I'm sure most of my neighbors who live here in Morro Bay and use this place regularly do not. It's crappy of the staff here to be so lazy and take advantage of this thinking that people just don't know any better. They are lucky I'm giving the 3 stars I am and honestly that is for the kindness of the Nurse Practitioner who administered the injection and the gentlemen who answered the phone and was so polite and kind and helpful. Otherwise I would give zero stars for the rest of this experience!

I have been waiting to write this review until after I had a chance to cool down. Dealing with this place was an absolute nightmare and the only low point of an otherwise lovely vacation. Our first night in the area, my husband realized he forgot his prescription at home. His doctor called it into this Rite Aid as it was the closest pharmacy. The prescription came in early in the morning. The pharmacist said it would be ready in a couple hours and that they would text us when it was ready. We had plans for the day, so, decided to return in the afternoon. Curiously, no text came, even as the afternoon turned into evening. We returned to Rite Aid at 4:00pm and found the prescription was not ready, but that they were working on it, it should be done in 20 minutes, and they would text us when it was done. No text message ever came. We waited until the next morning to come check again. There was a huge line of people - maybe 10 or 15 people in line and two frantic people at the check stand. We waited in the line and when we got to the counter, the woman told us the prescription wasn't ready and we would have to sit down, but that they would call us when it was ready. She immediately called "Next!" right over us while we were still standing there. When I asked my follow up questions, which was, "Do you have any idea how long the wait will be?" she completely ignored me. I refused to move in light of her incredibly rude response, so, she had no choice but to address me before she could help the next people in line. I asked her again how long she anticipated the wait and she just repeated: Sit down, we will call you. We left and came back several hours later and the prescription was finally ready - more than 24 hours after receiving the prescription from the doctor and 22 hours after saying it would be ready "in a couple hours." Adding insult to injury - we received a text message about thirty minutes after leaving with the prescription...that our prescription was ready. We don't live here, so, the chance of us coming back was very, very low to begin with. That being said, if we DID live here, there is absolutely no way I would do ANY business here.

What is up with this pharmacy? It is always something... Prescriptions are never ready when they say they will be, and they don't update there website with correct info. To top it off they are always super mean and grumpy. If you are constantly behind, hire more staff and train them not to treat customers so terribly.

My 78 year old mother has tried twice to walk in here during pharmacy hours to get her Covid booster. She had hard copies of her forms filled out and ready to go, and she knew she might need to wait a bit as a walk in. Scheduling a vaccine appointment online can be somewhat difficult, and she had decided to just try and walk in for her booster (I had scheduled her first two Covid appointments, and we didn't think it would be a problem now for her to be able to walk in for her booster.) The first time she was told that the pharmacy doesn't offer walk ins until 11:00 am. The second time she came in at 11:00 am and was told that the pharmacy doesn't offer walk ins until a different, later time. Other customers had appointments and the pharmacy was giving vaccines at the time. A vaccine appointment take about 5 minutes. Given my mother's demographic and that she made the effort to come in for her Covid booster during pharmacy hours, the public interest in distributing vaccines, plus the fact that the pharmacy was actually providing vaccines while she was there, it is quite unbelievable and frustrating that she was denied the Covid booster twice. UPDATE: She actually tried for a third time today (Monday) in the afternoon and was told boosters are only offered on Thursdays and Fridays. Three different attempts and she was given three different responses about the times and days she should return. Truly awful and so disappointing for many reasons.

I was in town for the weekend so when I felt ill I went to the local urgent care. They electronically sent over a prescription and I drove over to pick it up. Was told it would take two hours to refill so I came back in three hours. It was still not ready. When I asked the technician why there was a delay all I got back was attitude. I asked them to expedite the process and was told to wait. I waited for another 30 minutes and finally got the prescription. While I was waiting the technician said to another customer that they were behind because of vaccines. They didn't have his medication ready either. Overall a really unpleasant experience.

This is a difficult review for me.I will be marking down the store for very specific reasons as a way to draw attention to a very concerning matter. First, the front desk staff is incredible. They are attentive, charming, over all world class model employees. The shelf stockers are knowledgeable and kind. I find rite aids goodsand services to be more than fair and adequate So why a one star review?? The pharmacy, These guys have been difficult in the past and the present Today is about EMILY Emily lied to my family Emily isn't in the retail space, she doesn't work at a restaurant, she doesn't even groom poodles What she does do is work with medication Which you may think is serious Let me assure you Emily does not My partner and I drove to ride aid I decided to stay in the car and my partner would run in and grab her medication and run back out 15 minutes later she came back out empty handed and confused We figured they would have our medication because we had spoke with someone earlier and it seemed like they did But they didn't, in fact she was led to believe it wasn't even in the store Which is fine but odd and left my partner confused, she even said she felt like maybe she was lied too I figured I would go back in there to see where it was or when we could expect it When I spoke to Emily i had let her know that I was there to pick up the meds for my partner and after giving the proper info Emily said "that's a very familiar name, I think she was in here earlier today" (yeah Emily 5 minutes ago) I said great she must have already grabbed it Emily said no I said oh, well then I will grab it Emily let me know it was processing I said ahh when can we pick it up, I let her know we had already called it in and was led to believe it would be ready She said 20-30 minutes I said great Emily then told me they were closing and there was nothing to be done I apologize for her feeling that way but gently reminded her that this was crucial, that we did She said they would try to figure it out The medication was ready in 5 minutes Wonderful Before leaving I asked why my partner was not able to get her own medication Emily responded with well it wasn't ready I said Emily she was here five minutes ago Emily played negligent I think it's clear she just wanted to leave work It's really important to remember that the job of a pharmacy is to fill orders and help people receive them Emily grossly abused her power Lied to my partner Valued her time on the clock over the customer I view this as unacceptable and warranting either suspension, firing, or we will be looking into legal actions There's more details However typing is difficult
[email protected] if rite aid would like to reach out I will be calling in the morning

We went into Rite Aid to pick up a prescription that had been scheduled on the automated service at Ride Aid Pharmacy to be ready on Friday. I am a post- op Brain Surgery Patient. We waited until Saturday to be sure it would be filled. We waited in a long line at the pharmacy for about 10 minutes and when we reached the counted I requested to pick up my prescription. The woman behind the counter spoke rather condescendingly to me and said it was not yet filled and I should really wait to receive their text messages before coming in since they have such long lines. I said I understood however since their automated refill system scheduled it for pick up a day earlier that I thought it should be filled by then. She did not do anything more than reiterate in a rather harsh tone to wait until they texted me when it would be filled. I realize that she couldn't not possibly know that I am a recent brain surgery patient and that harsh speaking tones upset me quite a lot but as she was working in the pharmacy I feel they should do better with talking to patients trying to get their prescriptions.

I travel 45 minutes just to shop at this location. Though I have one in my town I prefer to make the drive due to the wonderful customer service and well stocked store. There is I believe he is a manager always greeting and walking myself and customers to product we need. I also would like to point out that due to this covid situation I always find myself feeling safe in that stores environment. It is always clean neat and everyone takes proper precautions to ensure our safety. I highly recommend this store to everyone.

Nice store! Greeted upon entry. Clean. Well organized. Big store, good selection. Just went in for a toothbrush. Yes, I drove to the coast and left my toothbrush at home. Anyway, quick in and out. Nice guy at the counter.
