“We've been here on several occasions throughout the years. We always enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic and the rooms are comfortable and clean. We always get a first floor garden view room. The ability to open the doors for a nice breeze or to hear the ocean is a nice option. Would not hesitate to book again if we're in the area.Rooms: Elegent and nicely decorated. Fireplace is a nice touch. Very comfortable.Nearby activities: Enjoyed walking the garden, cypress grove and to the nearby beach.Food & drinks: Afternoon tea and cookies is a nice touch. Breakfast never disappoints.”

“Outdoor patio is dog friendly. Staff were nice and responsive but you have to head inside the restaurant upstairs. Great views on the patio and was able to catch the sunset. Wasn’t too busy when we went.”

“Recently I got to photograph a wedding at historic Kohl Mansion.Its stunning features makes it truly stand out. From the Tudor style mansion, to the 40-acres of oak woodland surrounding the property this place is a plus for any wedding and a dream as a photographer. The Staff did a great job at executing the couples vision and making their day seamless. A great venue to work with and from my perspective, a great venue to have your wedding at!”

“What a lovey space. Their corner of HMB Main Street has had a lot of iteration but this is my favorite thus far. The space outside is inviting and full of healthy plants and herbs for a local garden. Then the inside space is clean and open and airy with lots of treasures. I hope they bring in even more fun items before the holidays to expand their selection. We ended up getting a few small items and a gorgeous, huge bouquet of lovely flowers that made our day and were very reasonably priced.”

“We came to the South San Francisco Event Center for my brother’s graduation party after looking at a few other venues. We met with Judy who instantly understood our needs and vision for our event. She was extremely welcoming and understanding from the beginning. Throughout the event process and party itself, Judy was easily accessible for communication, immediately answered any questions we had and jumped to fix any issues we had within minutes of notification. The staff at the event center were also extremely helpful, supportive and friendly which only allowed our party to continue smoother. We are incredibly grateful to Judy and her staff for providing us a stress free and easy process and allowing us to create such a memorable event. “One the best room I ever been! We rented this room our New Year Church service! We were able to have church in first part and we were able to have 400+ people in that room. We had a new year dancing time to celebrate the new year! The place has a bar area where we were able to serve water and soda! It also had a kitchen where we were able to cook food for over 400 people! There was a dance floor area and the wall decoration as you can see in those picture was very beautiful! I will recommend anyone to rent this place for any events”

“My fiancé and I decided to have our wedding reception here at the Oceano. Its beautiful, the food was great and the staff was so exceptionally friendly. BUT - one person absolutely made everything possible. That person is Nancy. She deserves the Nobel Prize for wedding planning. I'm a nervous person who gets overwhelmed by planning big events. I don't know what I don't know. Luckily Nancy was there to guide us both through the entire process. I really can't say enough wonderful things about her and her coworkers. I'd wake up in the middle of the night thinking "OMG, did we get tablecloths?!" No problem. Nancy already had it under control. Got a question? Nancy has the answer and already knows the DJ/photographer/cake baker and more. Without her, I would have been a total mess. She made us both feel like we were in VERY capable hands and everything was going to be ok. AND the best part is that it was ok! The reception went down without a single snafu! After our first meeting, we both walked out feeling like a huge weight had been lifted off our chest. You will too.”

“I've been coming here for years as I work nearby and it's one of very few dining spots in this area. The space is quite large and is great for hosting events. In the day time, the cafe and main dining area are open. In the afternoon/early evening, the other side opens which features a small bowling area with 2 lanes, a pool table, bar area with tables, and outdoor patio. Cafe - I highly recommend the lavender latte! This is hands down my favorite coffee from F&L. The cafe area has plenty of seating and plugs, so it's great for catching up in-person or working remotely on your laptop. The cafe also offers juices, pastries, Boichik bagels and breakfast burritos. Lunch - I don't have lunch regularly here but have enjoyed the fried chicken plate and BLT, which I believe are occasional specials. The F&L burger is also decent. Happy Hour - I like their crispy brussels and fries the best, but the lumpia is also good and surprisingly authentic!”

“Went to a wedding reception here. pretty easy to get to and it's not a bad site for a smaller party. they also have security on site, which is cool and all but they wouldn't let the smokers take their drinks outside. Not a deal breaker.”

“We had the 3-wine sampler and the sourdough bread. The bread came with a need to select two versions of olive oil and two versions of balsamic vinegar. We chose Mesquite and Fig balsamic and garlic and lemon olive oil. Wow!!!People were just sweet, atmosphere amazing even under construction.Cannot wait to come again!!!T&T”

“If you are checking in do your best to avoid Connor at the front desk. As others have mentioned before he will discriminate against you. Im not sure if it is because we are Asian or what. He had us pay for an upgrade promising that it would be ready in 15 minutes and telling us it would be in a certain location. Almost 2 hours later we still were not in the room. I had to go to the front desk 4-5 timesI think he runs this scheme where he claims to be contacting the cleaning crew but is really just talking to himself. He even went to the back room to "check on it". I think its just a game he pulls on peopleWhen we got to the room it was the room type he promised but it was all the way down the hall in the worst spot and nowhere near to where he promised. The cleaning crew didnt look like they had been contacted and almost every other room of the same type was unoccupied. Thankfully after contacting them, the manager KJ made it right.Every other time we have been here we havent been haggled being platinum elite but Connor definitely decided to make it difficultOtherwise, everything was great, i know everything cant always be perfect. My wife and i love visiting the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay and will be back. Hopefully Connor will no longer be here”

“My coworkers and I wanted something quick for dinner so we decided to dine here. I was genuinely surprised that it was good. It's located inside the hotel and it faces the waterfront view which was nice. Now onto the food, the truffle fries were so good. I love thin fries and the truffle made it more delicious. I also ordered Karl the fog cocktail and that was refreshing. The burger was standard and their salad had this interesting dressing. It was citrusy and refreshing, but they can cut back on the sugar. It was citrusy but a tad sweet for my liking. Nonetheless, I was satisfied with my dinner. Definitely would return for the truffle fries.”

“Everything was great, from the reservation, food, ambience, waitstaff. Place was clean , friendly staff, food were served hot, fresh and cooked to perfection(salmon, chowder, crab cake) Our waiter took the time explaining their menu, checking on us and attending our needs with smile and professional way. The ambience is simply lovely, romantic, beautiful waterfront and clean. A lot of parking .”

“Played 18 on a Saturday morning at Crystal Springs. It is a lovely course with a TON of elevation and undulations. It's a difficult track offering amazing views. Lots of wildlife and overall a great place to play. I will say the cost was steep compared to some of the other courses in the area with comparable condition. Overall will be playing here again in the future.”

“This is our favorite SFO airport hotel and we have stayed in dozens. Aloft properties are always clear winners and this location is no exception. We loved our smooth and efficient check in, airport shuttle, ramen vending machine in the lobby, and a sweet gym. The receptionist was also very friendly and accommodating. We will 100% stay here again before or after a flight. There are a number of excellent places to eat nearby. Even though it is near SFO, we never heard planes while in the room. We also liked the pure blackout shades for a good sleep.Rooms: Rooms are superb with good soundproofing, great water pressure, comfortable beds, clean sheets, and awesome blackout curtains. Also, plenty of bedside outlets for charging all your devices.Food & drinks: Lots of options in the lobby including a bar and a ramen noodle vending machine that had surprisingly delicious soup. There were many beer and liquor options as well. Lots of candy and chips and drinks to choose from.Noteworthy details: Smooth operating entry and exit gates make in and outs a breeze.”

“Not one of the better experiences at a Hyatt for a Globalist like me. But it was still okay. First, club lounge is still closed. And this is a pet peeve of mine - their gym cardio equipment doesn't have any entertainment options. I tried all 4 treadmills and not only do they not have Internet connection (i.e. - youtube or Netflix), even their regular TV on treadmills aren't working. Lastly, (hopefully this is an aberration - the bathroom when we checked in didn't seem too clean. There were at least 5 hairs in the bathtub. That made my wife not want to take a soaking bath. To be fair, it's still a pretty good hotel since it's a Hyatt Regency. Workers are polite, rooms look pretty new and clean (except the hairs). Free breakfast and parking honored. We were there for my daughter's dance convention and the ballroom was great too. Just probably in the lower 1/2 of the Hyatts I've been to.—————————————Update: One year later and things are better. Room didn’t have any hairs this time. So an extra star. We also got a bay-facing room on the lower floor (we requested lower floor to have easier access to the convention meeting rooms downstairs) - and enjoyed the view. I also really like their new water-dispensing system (see picture) - which dispenses cold water for free and pretty reasonable prices for sparkling and flavored soda (environmentally friendly). They also offered 4:00pm late checking proactively. Unfortunately, lounge is still closed. I’ll be back again next year for another review!”
