Mt. Aukum Store is a wonderful hardware store with a wide selection of items. Small independent hardware stores like this are disappearing, but customers appreciate the variety. Inside, the store offers hardware, gas, car repair, food and beverage snacks, and useful items you might not expect. Many people drive by the place, but the store is not much to look at on the outside; inside they are surprised by the combination of food, feed and hardware. Calls to the store can be frustrating, as the phone rings and goes to a computer that blasts out loud sounds, but the selection remains a valuable resource.
I think they might actually be open until 9pm daily. Hours on Yelp look incorrect. A huge range of household good here. Hardware, food, beverages, livestock feed, tools, propane and gas, etc.
