This bank charges $6.50 to withdraw money from the ATM if you’re not affiliated with them. You’ll get a $4.00 up front fee, then a $2.50 fee day or two later. It just cost me lunch for a 1 minute transaction! What a freaking joke!!! Yesterday I was helping a terminally ill friend conduct her banking business. Everyone at Banner Bank went out of their way to help. Heather. Shirley. Sarah, Jeanie. I hope I didn't leave anyone out. Their personal service was both friendly and professional. Their genuine warmth and concern was palpable. If I were not 30+ years at another local bank which I like, I'd switch to Banner Bank based on my good experience and knowledge of their personnel from knowing them in the community as well as at the bank. I read the negative reviews. Don't know their specifics. I do know that there is excessive anger and vitriol and divisiveness in the USA today which impact perceptions. My perception is a very favorable one, which should be obvious if you've read this far. :-)

Banner Bank Mt Shasta lost $1500 of my business funds in a failed international wire transfer. After I triple-checked all of the details for the transfer and completed the transaction, it took them two weeks of me asking before they admitted that they lost my money. After an extensive month-long search, it was ascertained that the problem was not with the info I provided nor with my vendor’s bank or info. It was the fault of Banner or its 3rd party transfer agent the Bank of America. I asked for Banner to refund my money while they sorted out their internal issue, and they refused. Bank Manager Shirley Park actually had the audacity to ask myself and my assistant, in separate phone calls, if we had somehow received a wire request from an unknown person and had just blindly wired them money. We both described to her in detail that the order we placed was deliberate and volitional, and that we have known this vendor and worked with him successfully in the past. Banner Bank and Shirley Park still refuse to acknowledge their own fault in this failed transaction. They have not refunded my money that they lost. At this point, they are in theft of $1500 of my money with a refusal to make right on their error. Banner Bank’s motto is, “We do the right thing.” But I don’t buy it.

Your money is not safe here. Complained about service to corportate or on FB and Branch manager Alyssa Burrone decided one day to, without my knowledge, CLOSE ALL MY ACCOUNTS AND TURN OFF ALL DEBIT CARDS, effectively impounding ALL MY MONEY FOR SEVEN DAYS, causing checks to bounce. This was a terrible experience prior, as she used her power over my accounts to threaten this previously. THANK GOD I HAD ANOTHER ACCOUNT, otherwise I would've been ruined financially without accesss to MY OWN MONEY. FACEBOOK POSTS THAT GOT ME CANCELLED" by banner:Be VERY CAREFUL IN ACCEPTING THIS LOAN! Read the fine print to find out if your WHOLE LOAN WILL BE IMPOUNDED to pay other SBA debts before you sign! There was nothing about this stipulation before or during application process - if there had been I would not have wasted my time. I was almost hoodwinked by Banner into signing a bad loan that would've resulted in zero loan my to business, just forced repayment of another SBA loan, and bankruptcy by next january due to it's large payments and short payback period. Shame on you, Banner.Bank Bail-IN? ALL ACCOUNT FUNDS IMPOUNDED WITH NO ACCESS TO FUNDS! ACCOUNT CLOSED 07-13-20 WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE! BOTH CHECKING ACCOUNTS FROZEN! NO ATM ACCESS FOR ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY. KEEP YOUR MONEY SAFE- AND FAR AWAY FROM BANKERS. IT'S SAFER UNDER A MATTRESS.PPP FUNDS WERE TO BE IMPOUNDED TO PAY A [CURRENT , UP TO DATE] EIDL LOAN. SO NO FUNDS TO MY BUSINESS, BUT $800/MO PAYMENTS STARTING IN JANUARY, WHEN REVENUE IS LEAST. IN MY OPINION, BANNER TRIES TO PUT SMALL BUSINESS INTO COMPROMISING POSITIONS, SO THEY CAN STEAL YOUR ASSETS LATER, LIKE YOUR HOUSE

My friend and I opened an acct. at this branch in Mt. Shasta, CA (through an acquaintance of a staffs family member) and the personal(s) are extremely wonderful... I highly would recommend this friends and family members. They are a great bank hands down.

Banner bank is too small of a bank to maintain their own ATMs, and they will rob you if you try to use them to make deposits, then pretend like it is your fault.
