I searched for several months to find a place in Mountain View for haircuts, and after a couple disasters with other places on Castro, finally found the winner with Aruba Salon. Booking was a breeze - I left a message and Tiffany promptly called back. The salon is spotlessly clean and well-maintained. Tiffany is a pro with men's haircuts, perfectly cutting my hair based on the photo I gave her and my instructions. She is incredibly friendly and professional, and created a warm and welcoming environment. This will be my go-to spot for haircuts moving forward.

They have no clue how to deal with curly hair. They blow dried my roommate's hair for 45 minutes for no reason and straightened it by saying she looked prettier now when all she asked for was a hair cut. It felt like an attack on her identity by forcing her to conform to false beauty standards. If you like your curls and respect your identity, DO NOT EVER GO HERE.

Note to all of my curly girls: I called ahead and asked if they have experience with really curly hair. I was told they can't do "African-American" hair, wavy hair is as far as they go. I appreciate the honesty, but at the same time, beauticians should be able to do all types of hair.

I went to see Tiffany for the first time upon a recommendation from a friend. She did a fantastic job with my cut and color. Felt like a new person! And throughout the entire process she was open to feedback, showed a care for her craft and had a calming presence. Looking forward to many more haircuts with Tiffany.

I have been seeing Tiffany for both hair and facials for a very long time. A decade!! She is fairly new at this salon and i followed her here from her other place. She is very detailed, uses high quality products and really takes her time to ensure you are happy with her work. She is a true professional and takes great pride in her work. Add in an outgoing personality. I recommend her very highly.

I got a haircut from Tiffany and she did an amazing job! She listened to exactly how I wanted my hair cut and it turned out even better than I could have imagined. She was very experienced and knew exactly how to cut my hair for my specific hair type to give it more volume and texture. Overall an amazing experience. Thanks! I will be coming back.

Introverts welcome. Lan is the best! My husband has been going to Lan for perhaps 15 years and now she’s also mine and our sons hair stylist too. She doesn’t miss a beat, gives excellent advise and is a pleasure to hang out with.We texted Lan two weeks before Christmas trying to fit in three consecutive appointments since we travel over an hour to get there, and to top it off we wanted it to be after office hours. Lan still made it work. Awesome!It looks like their website was down last time I checked. But they’re very much there.
