My wife and I have been eating at Doppio Zero for many years now. Have absolutely loved their pizzas! However, been noticing a downwards trend for the last couple of months. Not sure what has changed, but hopefully management does an audit. Recently, the quantity and care with which the toppings are getting added to the pizza has been frustrating. For example, the last couple of times I have had the La Carne, the toppings were less than usual and worse, they were all concentrated on one or two slices, with the rest of the slices barely getting any. I imagine the pizza maker can fix this by just adding a little more care and attention. Especially when paying $20-$30 for a personal pizza, a little more care demonstrated in food preparation is called for. Hope this feedback reaches the kitchen.Vegetarian options: There are a handful of vegetarian options. But sometimes, the vegetarian labels are incorrectly used. For example: the "Little Gem" salad has anchovies, but is labelled vegetarian.

One of our go to places for Naples styled pizza. The only other place where we had better quality Neapolitan Margherita pizza was at Michels in Naples.

Visited Doppio Zero with a booking for six but only four of us made it. Despite being ready to order, we were told service couldn’t begin until all six arrived. This lack of flexibility ruined our planned evening. Understand policies are important, but there should be some accommodation for unforeseen circumstances. Sadly, this has turned us off from returning or recommending this place. Hope this feedback leads to improved service flexibility in the future.

Went to this restaurant today as walking and was able to do reservation for 6, but only 4 of us showed up on time. We were ready to dive into the menu, but got hit with a “nope, can’t serve you until everyone’s here.” Seriously? It was such a bummer. Places need some chill with their rules, especially when we’re there to spend our money and have a good time. Because of this, I’m not keen on going back or telling friends to check it out. Hope they think about being a bit more flexible in the future.

Ordered a pizza to go, got there towards the beginning of their suggested time, pizza was already cold and soggy. Also ordered pizza with this description “Burrata cheese, 24 months
Prosciutto di Parma, arugula,
shaved Parmigiano Reggiano, Evo”to go and got a plain cheese instead? Very poor experience.

Had an awesome time at Doppio Zerro in Mountain View! We crushed two pizzas – the sausage and chorizo one was spicy in just the right way, and the other with arugula, buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto, and Parmesan was the perfect mix of fresh and crispy. The kids demolished the croquettas with truffle sauce and couldn’t get enough of the truffle fries, while the octopus salad was super fresh. And the desserts, especially the hazelnut tartuffo and gelato, were out of this world.Service was top-notch, too. Everything came out quick, and they nailed it with the food quality. Definitely ask for the spicy oil to take your pizza to the next level. Can’t recommend this place enough – it’s a must-visit for a chill vibe and seriously good eats.

The ravioli is great! The atmosphere is a bit too loud. There's a free public parking garage (Mountain View Public Garage) behind the restaurant, but it's difficult to find open parking.

The combination of cheese with toasted French bread and honey nuts is quite special and tastes good./The Margherita pizza is large and very thin, so the bottom is moist with the sauce, but there is a lot of cheese and the bottom is a little burnt (or is that a specialty?) The taste is acceptable/The cuttlefish and seafood pasta tastes okay, but the seafood portion is average./But overall, two people can eat enough to eat, and the atmosphere is very American, so you can come and experience it.

Nice location! Space to sit both inside and outside. Quite a few options for vegetarians. And really amazing food. Happy staff.

We arrived around 7:30 pm. We did not have reservations, and the restaurant was busy, but we were immediately seated outdoors as we were a party of two.We ordered a Peroni Lager, which was an excellent draft beer, served in a very cold glass, and a Frank Family Chardonnay, which was mellow, flavorful and amazing as well. For dinner we ordered Formaggi and Sage pizza, a white pizza with mozzarella, parmesan fontina and gorgonzola cheeses. It’s typically served as a white pizza, but we added red sauce. The cheeses were very tasty, and the dough was to die for!In addition to the delicious food, our server was very kind, gracious, and attentive. When it comes to wood-fired, Naples-style pizza this place is legit. Could not recommend this restaurant enough.

Yummy food, great service, and a full bar! The smoky old fashioned is a treat.Parking: There's a free public garage on the street behind the restaurant. Just walk through the alley and you're there.

I give it 5 stars, with an asterisk. The main courses we had were delicious. Two of us had the Salmon alla Griglia. Just perfect. Two of us had the Marechiaro, which is squid ink pasta with clams, etc. Also excellent! I thought the burrata appetizer was bland, but my partner thought it was tasty. The service was.... Ok. The first waiter seemed to be trying to goad one of us into getting something from the bar. He didn't want anything other than water, but our waiter was a bit insistent, we felt. Later, several people seemed to be coming by our table, asking how things were, if we wanted anything, etc. All nice enough, but pretty clear they wanted the table freed up. We were there for about 90 minutes, maybe less. The coffee we ordered was pretty fancy (we just wanted decafs), so that was a plus. But the coffee was lukewarm. Not so awesome. So, great food overall, but the service was less than stellar.
