Made a last minute appointment and was very happy with my experience. Went back once about a month later, and look forward to continue visiting Excellent Nails.
All of the employees at Excellent Nails are very kind and take great care of their customers.

This edit is long overdue, but I called the salon a few days after they replied to my message and Lien did an amazing job of listening to my experience. Nearly all of my experiences were with the same nail tech who is now no longer there. Lien was then able to fit me in that same day to come back in despite it being after five, all because she knew that I had a trip scheduled the following day. She stayed late, fixed my set and gave me a gorgeous fill, and then made sure I left feeling satisfied and comfortable. Not only was it a gorgeous set, but it reminded me of why I was only coming here in the beginning. Thank you, Excellent Nails! I’ll be back.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I’ve been coming here since March and just stopped now. When doing pedicures they use a drill to remove the gel; and I’ve had numerous pedicures where I nearly had to wrench my foot away due to the pain. The second pedicure was what made me take a closer look at my toe nails and I realized some of them were insanely thin and worn down from the drill, to the point where touching the nail left me in pain. One pedicure left me with uneven toe nails and a paint job that was splotchy at best; the last one, I had to reiterate numerous times that I wanted a female tech to do my toes before being listened to (I asked three times). I then got a new acrylic set done and, as per usual, left with cuts around my nails. Every single pedicure and refill leaves numerous cuts around my nails. I get cut every single time. My last pedicure was done two and half weeks ago and there’s still scabbed blood near the toe nail. My final straw was my last acrylic set, which was done two and a half weeks ago. The nails were unevenly painted, there were bubbles under the paint, and as mentioned above, cuts as per usual around my nails and fingers. I was rummaging through my bag today and my pinky nail broke. I’ve never had an acrylic nail break on me, ever, and would think that a brand new set wouldn’t break before the first refill. Half my nail is gone, it’s bleeding a ton, and I feel as if I’ve honestly wasted months coming here, only to end up with cuts around my nails and something almost always wrong.

I've been going here since my old salon closed down during the pandemic, and been super happy with them. Lien introduced me to dip powder, and does wonderful job on all kinds of nail designs. Highly recommended.
My wife doesn't usually get her nails done, but broke a toe nail half-way down right before leaving on a trip; we stopped by to see if something could be done, and Lien took care of it, with a wonderful job that she had no trouble with the nail until it grew out.

This is my go to place for nails around Mountain View. They take their time and leave you with great nails. I have tried gel manicure and dipping powder here. They last me about 2-3 weeks before some nails start to chip due to chores, life etc. Attaching some of the designs i got here over the past 2 years, most recently by Lien, who patiently did an ombré dipping powder “summer” nails set for me. Thank you Lien, absolutely love your work!

I took my partner here for his first pedicure. We both had a wonderful time! Lien and the team were so friendly and considerate, and they did excellent work (fitting of the salon's name). Definitely recommended!

Lien is the best. I’ve been coming to her for years. She is great at shaping your nails and being very detail oriented. She’s also very sweet and easy to be around. I have thin nails and she helped me find a product (gel builder) that strengthens my nails enough to let them grow out. She never disappoints!

I was visiting from out of state & got lucky enough to have excellent nails across from where I was visiting family. My manicurist Vicky was so incredible! Everyone here was so kind & efficient. I can sometimes get anxious in nail salons I’ve never been in before. But everyone here was so friendly and welcoming. I wish I lived closer, I would be here every month! The pricing was reasonable, especially for the area. It was a very nice shop, it was clean and organized. I can’t give this place enough praise! If you are new to the area or just looking for a new nail place, excellent nails is where you need to go!!

If you want a manicure that lasts 4 weeks without chipping or lifting, get a dip manicure from **Lien** at Excellent Nails. Her nail art is beautiful and meticulous too. I’m in love with my ombré nails with sparkle accent I got yesterday.

I’ve been going here for 2 years they’re very nice and they do such a good job, I’m very picky when it comes to nails but she always makes sure I love my nails before I leave! She honestly is the best nail tech around the area!!!! Definitely recommend 10/10

I have ingrowns so that can be troublesome if not maintained well. Lien and her team are great at dealing with ingrowns but make sure to let them know you have this problem so that they can assign you someone with that expertise.

Lien did a great job with my nails and was so sweet and welcoming the entire time. She took her time shaping my nails and cleaning up any mess from the chrome powder. I will absolutely be coming back!
