This was my first service with Stress-Free. The service was exceptionally great. The GM Wes and service adviser Paul were super nice to deal with the customers comparing with many other similar shops in the industry. The workshop is also exceptionally clean and in order. The technicians looked very professional and the result of work was excellent. Overall, I was very much satisfied with the service I got and strongly recommended this shop for auto care. For sure, I will be back in the future.

I highly recommend this place to anyone needing automotive work. I had to get my completely un-driveable car towed here, I had never heard of the shop and was hoping it would work out okay, and I’m so thankful I wound up here.They were very clear throughout the whole process of inspection and service. I got updates throughout. They have an inspection system where the customer can see the list of points with photos and notes of what’s wrong. We had to wait a while for parts and they provided me with a loaner almost immediately for nearly two weeks.Every time I spoke to someone or needed to come in, even when it was someone different I’d see in the shop, they were always expecting me, knew who I was, and what needed to be done without me saying anything.Highest level of professionalism, courtesy, and work. I would come back and recommend to anyone.

These folks are wonderful. I have used them several times over the years to repair my (loved) 2001 Audi TT Quatro Roadster and keep it in good shape. They are friendly, dependable, knowledgeable, extremely capable and reasonably priced. They do excellent work efficiently and with no fuss. The most recent episode with them was a drop-in quick diagnosis and repair (topping up the hydraulic power steering reservoir) for which they refused any payment. Generous, in addition to the rest. Highly recommended!

Paul and Wes are very straightforward and transparent. Really appreciate them taking care of my cars 30 K service and recommending. Only what I really needed rather than additional unnecessary services that mysteriously dealer recommended. Thank you for the great service!

I really appreciate how communicative the team here is. Upon initial inspection, I received a detailed report of any findings that included photos, and was kept in the loop through the repair.I deferred one finding, and the mechanic actually used a spare part to temporarily mitigate the issue.

Great service experience — very stress free and professional. Paul explained everything clearly. They send you updates with pictures and explanations as services are preformed (in this case a pretty comprehensive used car inspection) — really helps understand what’s going on. Highly recommend.

Stress-free, exactly as promised! It was easy to make the appointment online, there was no wait when I dropped it off or picked it up, they kept me informed at every step of the way, and the price was very reasonable. Plus, they were kind. I don't think I'll go anywhere else for car service again!

I took my Audi A7 to get repaired for a bad thermostat and left it with the shop on Saturday. They reached out to me on Monday and stated nothing was wrong with the car so I then picked it up Tuesday. When I left the the shop with my car it only made it 10 minutes and began to overheat and I then had to take it back to the shop. When I called the young man said he would wait so that I could bring my car back since the shop was closing at 6. The shop said they checked and drove my car before I picked it up and apparently they did not because it broke down only 10 minutes after picking it up. I had to leave my car there again and they then told me it was going to be 1900 for a thermostat that cost only a few hundred dollars. They said they would give me a discount of 250 because of the diagnostics not being true and having me drive from Hollister to pick up my vehicle. I missed a week of work due to this and the when I looked online the average cost of a thermostat is usually 1200. So I am being overcharged and the diagnostics was incorrect and had me drive from Hollister to get my car that was not ready, again after I had already told them what needed to be repaired. I will not be going here again and I would not recommend this shop. The 1 star is for the young man who waited for me to go back when my car broke down after they told me it was fine and nothing was wrong with it. I would recommend this shop treat people fairly and take the time to really do a diagnostics as well as take in consideration that when you say a vehicle is ready to be picked up it takes UBER rides and time off of work expecting the car is ready.

Excellent value, wait time, honesty (about what services are needed), professionalism/friendliness, commutation (text based, w pdf and pictures). Clean and upscale looking offices. All around great experience. Very satisfied. Will start servicing my other car with them as well.

Got my Mazda CX-5 front control arms replaced for half the price compared to Mazda dealership service price. And as a bonus they also spotted leaking belt tensioner, fixing that helped get rid of annoying noise the car had been making. Paul was responsive, friendly and helpful.Recommended!

There are 2 parts of this review 9/1 and 6/17. One for their manger Rhett and One for My experience with James at Mountain View:6/17 Review: I came in for a normal oil change and ended up with over 10K suggestions of services with my 67K miles car which was just serviced a year ago. I somehow was assigned with this service manager, James. As a female driver not knowing so much about the car. There is a difference between the car professional people telling me what is necessary to be fixed right away and being led along of 10K + of services that are not necessary yet. I consulted their suggestions with another professional and many of the services were not necessary yet. When I confronted with James, he did nothing but to defend himself. Worst yet, when I felt that the trust were gone, I called him 8am in the morning when the shop first open to cancel my services, he told me that the my transmission oil and engine oil were drained out already yesterday unless I want my car to be towed. Last but not least, they don't charge for real hours that they work on. Instead, they charge you by a "lump sum": $500 labor to change sparks and $500 labor to change transmission oil. When I asked him about it, he said that is most of the car services companies do rather than go with what is the best practice.9/1: About 2 weeks later after the service, my engine light was on. Since the trust was gone with Stress Free, I took it to my trusted mechanic at San Jose. Original he thought it was emission problem and order the part, I had to leave my car at the shop for 4 days. As he was double checking, he found out that the engine ground wire and coil was loose and he asked me who serviced my car previously?!!!! (Stress Free MV). So I explained the situation by calling in. Paul was incredibly patience listened me out and encouraged me to communicate. So, I reached out to Rhett Whitehill and explained the situation. He asked me to send all the receipts which I did. He then said that they had warranty service, which again no body ever explained to me. I simply asked him to reimburse me the cost of my time, part of the poor services that they did and the cost of fixing engine light on problem. And I will be happy to revisit my review. OMG, he then said that he "feels that he is bribed by my reviews." I can't believe this. I have extremely busy schedule and I am doing with my precious time simply for JUSTICE and hoping people will take their services seriously with GOOD WILL and taking Accountability, rather, I am met nothing but defensiveness, delay of time, and insult.
