“Always loved this place! Long overdue review. As a Brazilian I was always blessed to have lived a block away from Mr. Sousa and all the amazing treats and delicious food from my home country and Portugal. You can find almost everything you need from Brazil! Now I have to drive a very long way, but it is still absolutely worth it and a pleasure to see him and his lovely wife. “This Total Wine and More is my favorite. The selection is amazing, and they regularly have wine tastings which are fantastic. We go almost every week on Friday or Saturday to try the wines they have out for tasting and choose a couple of bottles to take home. Last week Oliver was doing the tasting and he was awesome! We got to try several wines that he thought we would like, and we ended up taking 4 bottles home with us!
If you're not going to the tastings, you are missing out!”
“I went by to check out the place to see if they have an outdoor tasting area for guests. Not yet but hopefully soon. I bought my favorite wines one Sonoma Zin one red blend from Rutherford. My favorite CA Chardonnay and a Brut Sparkling Wine from Anderson Valley and a Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley. Everything is very well organized and I enjoyed discovering their wines. The staff are excellent and answered my questions about Brut vs other Sparklings/champagnes. I left the wine there because I was on a walk from home and picked it up on my way home. They have a lot of other countries wines too. Maybe next time!”
“I love this location, I feel this is one of the very few stores left besides the one closer to foster city that is good. Love the variety of products, some items can be expensive but you find very unique items in jewelry and home decor. I enjoy the variety of internal food products and beverages.”
“We have been shopping here for many years. The staff is always very nice. It feels like family.
We recently had a Fourth of July party for 200 people. We bought 14 trays of food from the deli. We bought a combination of fruit trays, cheese trays, sandwich trays, chicken and seven cakes from the deli. The food was ready at the pick up time. The trays were very attractively prepared. And the food was fabulous. We got many compliments from our guests.
I would highly recommend Nob Hill for a prepared food tray for social events!”
“The owner here is one of the friendliest person I've ever met at a liquor store. I was hunting for some whiskey. Didn't find anything I needed but he took time out of his day and showed me some of his harder to get bottles. Great guy”

“I buy water from their place and got to be a bit friendly with the owner. I found them to be eager to help and if items are not available there, they redirect you to the right store around there.This is one place to go to if you need to get some fast moving goods like quick bites, water, soda, and the occasional detergent needs.”

“I got carded buying a lighter (forgot my ID), I'm about 30. It's ok. Pretty standard liquor store stock/prices, kinda expensive considering there's a safeway right next to it. Sometimes convenient though.”

“I was here the first time, today. John, the new owner, is a great businessman. He listened to me and asked about what I was looking for and showed me around. Explained how they are making allocation whiskey bottles available to people in a fair way. The mystery bags are good way of getting one of the bottles listed in the current batch and good for people who are OK with the surprise factor. They offer store credit for you to buy what you want from the shelf if you are not happy with your mystery bag. Combos offered in store are better for you if you know what you want, you buy both bottles at SRP which was what I wanted. I am very happy with the price and 1:1 customer care from John. I will definitely be a frequent customer at this shop.”
