Bad, smelly rooms, bad service. Will not stay here again.

I have stayed here two times. The first time was great. I traveled alone. The room was nice and clean. The staff were friendly. The second time I traveled with my two kids. They charged me a deposit fee which is fine but they ended up putting me in an awful room 102. It was filthy. The carpet was stained, a boot print on the wall, the floor was dirty and a small type of bug in the bed. I took pictures and went back to the front desk to show the night staff. He acted put out. I told him I’m not really sure why the room was that way but for the price they charge you’d expect more than that. Plus there was a bug in the bed. He told me it looked like a bee I explained it was no bee and showed him the picture he still insisted it was a bee so I told him go look for himself. He said it was housekeeping/maintenance job. He then said they didn’t have any rooms available and if I can come back tomorrow? Umm no I made reservations for tonight. He was able to accommodate us to a better room. The morning lady staff was great and very sweet. ( I tried posting pictures of the room and bug but cannot to this review)

It the worth hotel I ever stayed.
If u wish to smell like a dirty socks u will as rooms have odor. My friend and I stayed in different one, and both had odor.
Second, internet available only near reception. And it is not always. No mobile internet almost at all. Most all of the time signal so low u not able check nothing on internet.
Wifi, the same. It is soo weak so u can't do anything as well. On top, it just might be completely off.
I do not know who gave 8.7 on booking com, it 5 max.

Super convenient- walking distance to stores and restaurants. Rooms are clean and comfy, not flashy though. It's plenty adequate for business stays. Easy access to major driving routes is a big plus. Parking can be tight so get in before late evening.

The place is very noisy! You can hear everything outside, every car passing, people talking; definitely difficult to sleep. The breakfast was okay, but not great. The beds are too soft and uncomfortable. The outside of the building is kinda dirty. However the rooms were very clean.

07.21.25 Had to stay here for 12 nights. Double Queen beds. It's a motel so. Beds and bedding, bathroom & sink were all clean.
I would suggest;
-ripping up the disgusting stained, dirty, filthy carpets for laminate flooring like other boutique motels along El Camino Real have done in their renovations.
-cleaning/housekeeping is by request only, though towels you can grab in the main lobby's towel closet at any time. Housekeeping left a prior guest's saran wrapped sandwich in the mini fridge, gross, so they need to pay more attention.
Pros;
-area feels safe and friendly
-location is 0.4-0.6 miles from Wholefoods, Trader Joe's, Walmart, Target, CVS, Safeway, restaurants to the north, and on the south World Market, strip malls, restaurants.
-breakfast weekdays 6-9am, weekends 7-10am: coffee, nice selection of good teas, hot cocoa, 3x cereals (KashiGo, Fruit Loops, Raisin Bran), Quaker instant oatmeal, whole milk, skim milk, Yoplait yogurt, round & finger turkey sausages, cooked round egg patties, tater tots, white & wheat bread, bagels, Philly cream cheese, Jif peanut butter, Smuckers jellys, apples, oranges, and a selection of mini Danishes, ketchup, hot sauce packets, apple & OJ juices.
-staff is very nice, polite and helpful
-management/owner is excellent, he gets 5 stars
-room is large
-hot water is nice & hot
-microwave, mini fridge & AC work very well
-good range of 60 TV channels including sports channels
Cons;
-El Camino Real traffic (major road), very dusty, sometimes noisy
-thin constructed walls
-can hear cars & people walking by, talking as parking is right outside rooms
-mini fridge is loud turning on & off throughout the night
-wifi goes in & out of service
-mattresses are too soft & lumpy
-wallpaper is dirty & needs to be cleaned or replaced, as well as previously mentioned filthy carpet (I brought slippers to use)
-no laundry service, not even coin laundry
-requested housekeeping after 8 days, kept my room very clean, only requested vacuum, tile floors/bathroom floor cleaning, replacement bedding covers for both beds, they didn't replace bedding covers as the same stains were there and I was watching from the lobby area, the girl just remade the beds with the same bedding, expecting guests to use the same exact linens after 8 days. I will go get new clean bedding from management myself but now taking off 2 stars for this. Just NO.

Rooms are very basic, a step up from standard motel. The dining area and breakfast was much nicer than I expected. Nicer than some hotels. Actually a hot BF was served. The staff were nice.

Yes and no.
It is cheaper than other hotels around. And it is quiet.
The room was a bit odd from the layout and definitely need some renovations, specially the bathroom.
So far it was clean and the bed was okay.
Breakfast as usually and typical for that kind of hotel.
