Mountain View Tennis offers an exceptional tennis experience for the local community. With 35 public courts, including 12 at the Cuesta Tennis Center, the facility provides ample opportunities for players to "just come out and play." The tennis programs cater to a wide range of skill levels, from beginner adult clinics to more advanced instruction. Instructors, such as Coach Todd and Coach Ken, are generally helpful in improving fundamentals and growing players' skills through drills and games. While the adult clinic courses could benefit from more granular levels aligned with USTA ratings, the courts are well-maintained, and the overall experience is positive. Residents can enjoy free walk-in access, while reservations are available for a reasonable fee. The Cuesta Tennis Center, nestled in the Cuesta Park, has a proud history of hosting tournaments and events for the Mountain View Tennis Club. The tennis camps and classes receive mixed reviews, with the Cuesta summer camp being praised, while the Copper Park fall classes fell short of expectations, with some instructors lacking engagement and too much emphasis on games rather than tennis-specific instruction. Overall, Mountain View Tennis provides a vibrant and accessible tennis community for residents of all ages and skill levels.
Great Wall to hit solo on. 4 large spots, plus a unique three sided wall. Courts are very nice.

MVT offers a good mix of experienced coaches and coaches still playing competitively, and a good variety of different classes, which you can mix&match however you like using your flex pass.
Courts get busy weekdays 5-7p and weekend mornings, but friendly stuff does their best to accommodate everyone.

Courts are well maintained. Locals/Players respect the rules and each other (not true in some other places), and the coaches are solid. I’ve been taking lessons here for almost 3 years now and the quality remains high.
