I would like to heartily thank the two mechanics (I'm so sorry not to have gotten their names!) who were so gracious in helping me out of a bind. I was in Palo Alto for a week, fully booked with appointments, and some plastic piece fell off my front grill, twice, dragging itself on the ground. The hotel guys tried to fix it, but it didn't hold. It was late in the day, yet AAA Mountain View put my car up on the next available bay, gave the piece a more secure, temporary fix, and I was able to safely drive home to Walnut Creek. And not only that, they refused any charge. So thank you Guys, I really appreciated it!

Absolutely HORRIBLE service and work. I brought my car here for a coolant leak. They said it would take 3 days. It ended up taking 3 weeks! They would not keep me informed. I had to keep calling. When I finally got it back, I immediately noticed that they broke some things and others were missing. The hood stand was broken. Battery terminal covers were missing. And later noticed some bolts were missing. The drive belt that I let them talk me into replacing squeaked. I had to argue with them several times to do anything before they finally replaced it. The replacement squeaked too! They used a cheap belt that couldn't grip the pulleys. Then my car overheated one day while I was driving! They cracked the thermostat housing when putting back on and the used the wrong gasket for it. Both people who worked the desk were nothing but argumentative and sassy. The shop manager never attempted to contact me. I didn't even know one existed. I assumed the two rude desk workers were managers. The district manager finally called. He was evasive and took ZERO responsibility. He kept wanting me to bring my car back time after time. How many return visits do you need to get it right? A very terrible car repair shop.

Office areas were well maintained, and the shop floor was clean, organized. The staff was respectful and courteous. I especially appreciated how clearly the estimates were spelled out, item by item, with straightforward verbal explanations that made everything easy to understand. One of the mechanics, Fidel, stood out for his outstanding customer service—something that's increasingly rare these days. A truly positive experience.

These guys know their stuff. They completed the work on time. I love the 2 year/24,000 mile warranty for AAA members on all parts and service.

The staff here is amazing! I had an old Prius with many issues, they helped me look into the problems carefully.
Their prices are fair compared to many dealerships. They were honest and I never felt like they were trying to “sell/scare” me into paying for a service my car didn’t need.
My car had a recall once, and they helped me look into it. They found out that Toyota dealership can replace a part without charge. Instead of charging me for an unnecessary service, they assisted me in the right direction.
I would highly recommend their services!

5 Stars – Professional, Honest, and Thorough Service at AAA Mountain View Auto Repair Center
I had a great experience getting my vehicle serviced at AAA Mountain View Auto Repair Center. From start to finish, the team—especially Fidel and Ricardo—was professional, courteous, and transparent.
I booked my appointment online in the evening and followed up with a call the following afternoon to confirm. Though they had been busy and hadn’t yet reviewed my online booking, Ricardo immediately looked it up during our call and promptly sent an email confirmation. I appreciated the responsiveness and flexibility.
After dropping off my car as scheduled, the mechanics conducted a thorough inspection and shared a detailed report via SMS and email, complete with photos and clear explanations. Fidel did an excellent job walking me through the findings. I approved additional diagnostic work and left the vehicle overnight. They even arranged a complimentary Lyft, which made things convenient.
By the next morning, I received updated reports with further details and images. Fidel did a good job on the phone call discussing next steps and mentioned some delays in part availability due to the car model. Despite that, everything was completed efficiently by Thursday afternoon.
Since I was unavailable that afternoon, I picked up the car Friday afternoon—once again with a complimentary Lyft, arranged by Ricardo. The final cost matched the updated estimate I had received, and the work (new tires, brakes, and routine maintenance) was backed by AAA’s guarantee.
My car now drives noticeably better, especially when braking. I’m grateful for their professionalism and will continue servicing my car here as long as I work in the area. Highly recommended!

I took my 2011 Sienna van for Transmission fluid and radiator fluid service. I schedule my appointment on the website, and received a confirmation e-mail within a short period of time. On the day of the service appointment, I was greeted by Ricardo at the service counter and my car was ready within the promised time frame. He also answer my questions with honest opinion, and not trying to sell me maintenance service that is not due per my cars mileage, time period. One other big plus for being a AAA member, the service warranty is 2 years or 24,000 miles.

I didn't know that AAA had an auto shop until I received an email from them. I made an appointment for an oil change and I was very pleased with their service and professionalism. I will be going back to them with all my cars.

Ricardo Rodriguez and His Team—A Perfect Blend of Professionalism and Warmth
I recently had a scare when I mistakenly thought I had put diesel into my gasoline car, leaving me extremely anxious. Fortunately, I found AAA Mountain View Auto Repair Center, and Ricardo’s assistance left a deep impression on me.
