My first experience here 2 years ago wasn't great, and I stopped going to this studio. But I recently started coming back to this studio for the past 7 months, and I'm glad I did. Anyone who's new to this studio. I recommend trying out each coach to figure out which one works best for how you workout, what type of support you need, and what vibe you want. I personally like Derek's classes. A smaller class will give the coach a better chance to help correct form vs a class that has more than 24 people in it. The only downside - and not the studio's fault - is the hardware. No matter which studio I go to, the heart monitor sometimes doesn't connect.

The staff are not particularly friendly. I was misinformed about the membership. The person at the front desk - Valarina(?) Mentioned that I would get a $20 gift card up on signing up. She failed to keep up her words. I ended up joining a different OTF that has a brilliant, friendly, well informed staff. I definitely recommend OTF. BUT NOT THIS BRANCH.

The workout is great, but this location needs an organizational and customer service overhaul. No longer a member at this location (we moved). Here's the review: 1. Coaches: Eddie and Timothy are awesome, but they both left to coach at other locations in the Bay. Derek and Keana are great too! They're motivational and check your form. Music depends on the instructor and so does volume (of music and mic). 2. Front Desk Staff: This is where OT Mountain View could really train and better their business. Customer service is really lacking. If you have a question about billing, membership, anything, the front desk staff let you know that the manager will reach out ... but they don't write down your name, issue, anything. And no one reaches out (unless there's issues with running your credit card). There was a time when their computers were down, so they checked everyone in using the big screen in the lobby. That's right - full name, email address and birthdate ALL on the screen for everyone to see. Unacceptable business practice. Honorable Mention: Varania (sp?) is awesome at the front desk and really gets to know each member, so the above critique does not apply to her. 3. Equipment: some of the screens are broken but they usually fix them right away. This studio can do a better job of cleaning the floors, mirrors and equipment. Yes, it's everyone's job to clean up after their station with wipes, but at the end of the day (or beginning or in between classes), the studio should go through a solid cleaning as well - for cleanliness and health safety. 4. Membership: it's priced too high for what you get. There are referral promotions but they rarely honor them. I know at least 3 (former and current) members who didn't receive the discount to their membership or referral bonus that was advertised (and the staff is unhelpful in resolving this). There's also supposed to be a discount if you live or work in the neighborhood but that was never applied to my membership (or friends' memberships). If you need to place your membership on hold, you'll need a doctor's note WAY in advance, which isn't helpful in emergencies. And if you need to cancel, it's nearly impossible. Even 30 days doesn't seem to work. So you may end up paying for a couple months you can't use. 5. Fitness Challenges: All franchises charge for "challenges" like the transformation challenge and dri-tri, but you're really paying for the t-shirt, water bottle or merch you get at the end. No need to sign up unless you want to be entered to win a prize. $30 here and there is a lot on top of regular membership fees. 6. Heart Rate Monitor: OT uses their own monitor and while you can use other brands, you won't be able to see your OT metrics. This is frustrating because their monitors are often faulty and pricey. They run about $130. Every once in a while they run a promotion for a discount on their monitors so look out for that. 7. Parking: there isn't much parking up front but there are usually a bunch of spots next to LA Fitness (the irony).

Wow! What a great experience! I submitted an inquiry about taking a free introductory class and a very nice gentleman, Rob, called me to help me book my class. I didn't answer his call the first couple of times but after the third call I gave in, I let him leave me another message, and then I called him back. Sorry Rob. He was very patient and professional as he gathered my info and asked my availability. On the day of my introductory class I read the reviews and got nervous about going. I didn't want the reviews to sway me (since the intro class was free) so I decided I was gonna commit and see how things went... I arrived 30 minutes early per instructions, brought my towel, and water bottle. Josiel, who was at the front desk, was also super nice and welcoming. He explained everything very thoroughly regarding what class I was going to be doing, who the coach was going to be, the amenities, the features of the class etc. I signed some forms and waited for the class to start. Coach Derek arrived and before the class started I got to talk with the Coach personally. He gave me a little tour of the workout room and what to expect not only for the workout but how he would check in on me during and after class. We joined the others and he gave a little spiel and even introduced me to everyone. It was so nice! The workout was so good! I did "Inferno" and it kicked my butt, in a good way. I was sore for at least two days, probably more. Anyway, I highly recommend Orange Theory Mountain View, Coach Derek, Rob, and Josiel! Great team! Can't wait to return for another workout!

There is a reason this place has a review of 3. I initially registered for their Elite program (8 sessions/month) but it didn’t work for me. When they interviewed me before my first class, I told these people that I have had a neck condition and slowly is going back to exercising. After starting the classes I developed more neck soreness and figured out 8 session per month was not working for me, so I asked the front desk to downgrade my program to Basic (4 sessions/month) considering my condition. Their front desk told me the current membership cannot be changed, and from next month I can register for Basic program, although I could only attend 1 session/week.The funny part was the coach confronting me saying that “we are here for people who are excited to be here”!!!This is none of her business! She is not in a position to tell me if I should be excited or not!! Do your job instead of standing there judging me for not physically being able to do the class two times a week!!!!!After this I asked them to cancel the whole thing, again they said I should give a 30-day notice and pay for two months before being able to cancel. Eventually I contacted the manager, she waived the second month charge for me, but did not refund me the initial membership. Technically I paid $150 for two sessions only! This is an awful gym with zero consideration. You don’t wanna deal with these people. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place and its snobby personnel!

I watched and listened to a coach berate someone for not running on an incline during a workout. It was unacceptable and unprofessional. Workouts should be a safe environment and people should feel comfortable modifying the workout to something that feels right for their body in that moment. I've never seen anything like this and I will never come back.

I've been an OrangeTheory member for a couple of years, over 150 workouts, and I'm a 2022 Dri Tri and Marathon Month finisher. I recently moved to the area and was lucky enough to find another OTF close by. The front desk staff (Leah, Robbie, and Vermina) are always helpful, the coaches are really great, and their equipment is state-of-the-art with touch screen displays. I'm really impressed with this studio and the coaches with whom I've worked (Danielle, Rocky, Derek, Jade, Ashley, and Eddie--thank you).

This is my home studio, I have enjoyed being a member for over 2 years and 300 classes now! I love all the coaches here. All the 1star reviews are from people who didn't follow the instructions of showing up 30 mins before your first class or complaining about the noise. They provide free earplugs at the front desk if you need. The front desk and coaches are always looking out for the members' health and safety, I've had many small injuries here and there and they've always accommodated me. Don't believe all the negative reviews if you are debating trying it out

We usually use the Cupertino studio. I love the structure, the coaching to get form straightened out without feeling too claustrophobic with someone watching just me working out. Whole body fitness in 45-60 mins. Yes please.

I really should have paid heed to the reviews before heading there. The front manager was super rude and turned me down for being only 20 min early to my first class and not 30 min. Are you kidding me? I drove 15 min to do a class and then drove back 15 min without actually doing the workout! I have been to OTF in Texas and so I am aware of how it works. But she didn’t care about that. I have tried several gym studios in the Bay Area and I have NEVER been turned down. This is ridiculous! I am not gonna waste 30 min extra trying to know the equipments I already know!

The coaches, office staff, and members are super supportive and friendly! The workouts are challenging and help you achieve your fitness goals irrespective of where you are in your fitness journey.

Great workout, and the staff/coaches are always there to help you. I like the fact that the workouts are planned, and cover most of things you need in an workout. Also the pace is fast so the workout is done in an hour. That said you also have the flexibility to workout at your own pace.

Pros:* Awesome instructors who are positive, at times funny, and supportive. They are great at pushing you towards your goals or doing your best!* Clean facilities and equipment fairly new* Front desk personnel are friendly and always greets me by my first name!* I don't think the volume of the music is an issue with respect to the other reviews I've seen* I started going here once a week but now am hooked and frequent this place 4-5 days.
