I enrolled my son in Peery Piano and was happy with my experience. The program is very focused on the technical aspect of piano playing which gave my son a good foundation for more difficulty pieces as he progressed. His teacher was strict, but also kind which is a difficult balance. She was easy to contact if I had questions. I also enjoyed the recitals and meet ups with other students.

The best piano Academy for your child to learn how to play piano. Excellent environment for children to learn, grow and improve their skills. Very professional staff and knowledgeable piano teachers. My son was lucky to be part of the Academy for a number of years, Highly recommend it. Best decision we ever made for our son.

My daughter enrolled in Peery's piano classes a few years ago. For the 1-hour lesson, there were 15-min stations. While there was an experienced teacher at one of the stations, the other three were pretty much a waste of time (one was a computer online lesson you could have done at home, the other was a teacher who was really just a middle school(?) student). Even the experienced teacher was different each week so there was no continuity or real teacher-student relationship. When my daughter first enrolled, the administrator set up an appointment for me to meet with Thomas (if I remembered the name correctly - he's the husband of the founder) for him to explain how the lessons and everything worked. But I sat there for half an hour and Thomas was a no show. And I had to call the administrator who told me that Thomas forgot about the appointment and was still home. Overall, I didn't have a good experience with Peery, and my daughter didn't learn much. But I heard that the founder was a great teacher if you do one-on-one lessons with her. Just don't enroll in the 4-station classes.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons at Peery since 7th grade. She has shown tremendous improvement after a few lessons. They taught her not only how to play, but how to play correctly. As someone who listens to her practicing for many years, the difference I noticed in the music during her practices was unbelievable.

You'll never find a better piano academy than Peery! Not only is the curriculum well structured for all ages, but the teachers and guides are incredibly passionate about piano. The best part is that they teach students how to play, appreciate, and LOVE music.

The program is super flexible and all the staff is incredibly supportive. As a student who opted into the student-teacher training program, I thoroughly enjoyed it and believe that it added depth to my curriculum.

I've had the pleasure of attending Peery Piano's yearly recitals as a friend of their community. The level of playing that even the young students possess are evidence of their structured curriculum and fantastic teachers. From classical to jazz to pop music, Peery has something for every student. I only wish I had this kind of community and instruction when I was younger. Maybe I would've stayed in piano longer! Overall, a great program with great faculty.

My family has been a part of the Peery family for over a decade and we are incredibly happy with being part of this community. Peery excels at establishing great piano habits from the start of their lessons and focusing on the individual student strengths. We would recommend to anyone looking for piano lessons :)

My three daughters have taken from Peery Piano Academy since the beginning of their training. I have been thrilled to see them throughout the process of learning how to play to being able to perform beautiful pieces in front of large crowds. Peery Piano's unique curriculum and teaching techniques not only teaches how to play the piano, but also musicality; meaning they are trained in music theory, hand technique, sight reading, playing by ear, performing, and sharing music with others. The hour long classes consist of 30 minutes of one on one time with two different Peery trained teachers and 30 minutes of independent work. The skills and techniques they learn from early on last a lifetime. When you hear a Peery Piano trained player, you can see and hear the difference!

Excellent piano academy with separate tracks and teachers selected based on your commitment level and goals, from basic skills to concert pianist and everything between. Everyone is expected to do things the correct and proper way regardless of how far along you are in the program. This has led to great results for our children

I went to Peery Piano's festival last month with my family to support them as they've been with the company for the last 15+ years.  Their non-traditional approach to piano, while still maintaining the essential techniques, really showed off the students' talents.  There was a mix of classical pieces, as well as students playing popular songs and singing/accompanying themselves.  I was most impressed with the energy of the teachers in motivating the students to practice, since we all know the only difference between a "good" piano player and a "bad" one is consistent practicing!  Peery habits and curriculum build consistent practice habits, which transform these talented students into tremendous ones.  I was very, very impressed with the level all students were playing at -- even the youngest ones.  Peery is a great, well-rounded school with fantastic teachers.

My son started almost a year ago! This school is primarily in money making business. Here we are today (12/09/2017) dropping out of the school, even though they just charged us for the quarter ($468). This money is in drain and they will not reimburse. Reasons for dropping: - Of the given 1 hours class, student gets only 15 minutes to sit with the teacher. Its better to have a private teacher and pay the same amount and get 30minutes of full attention - There is number of ways they skip 1:1 student time. For example, Checkpoint class, PNP class, etc. Which happens almost every now and then. - The school feels like a certificated student producing center. Focus mostly on kids who are already good. - Different books and evaluation technique from different teachers My son is more appalled to piano then he was year ago!
