The state of the running track at this establishment is subpar. It is worn down to the asphalt underneath in many places. I hope it gets redone soon.

It's a pretty new looking gym with a mezzanine level on each side for spectators. Probably the fanciest HS gym I have seen.

I used to have a lot of respect for the Lancers. The friends I have from the school have always been great people. I never thought at age 54 my opinion would change. Shame on you, current administration. To allow students to be subject to the kind of hate I see at this school makes me sick. Brushed under the carpet. Like it never happened or doesn't exist. I believe thick skin is the best way to handle most situations. I never made it through school without being teased. But There is a line that needs to be enforced. Sometimes thick skin won't work and you need the help of adults. When adults see a situation or a line crossed they should address the situation. So shame on you. You spineless cowards. Enforce your own rules. Be adults and help kids learn to respect and be respected. My lancer buddies, friends, and people I meet in the future will always be welcomed as friends. But the administration will now be a black spot on a fine school. I hope karma finds you and gives you a taste of what it is like to be different. Would I send my kids to this school? I don't think I would anymore. There are too many excellent schools in the area that accept people for who they are. St. Francis is no longer one of them. DA

A great private high school in the heart of Silicon Valley. That they have high standards for all students shouldn't be interpreted as "racism" by some on this post. Good academics- sports-social life and religious development are the keys to a well rounded graduate. Those who think their going to change a proven educational plan need to rethink their own narcissism. Recommended my too students to St Francis over the years and have been thanked for that to this day.

So my daughter was rejected in 2017-It was very hard on her but she went to Mercy High School in Burlingame and received an amazing education-She is now heading to Cal State Long Beach to achieve her dream of being a lawyer- I doubt she would have been accepted to most of the colleges she applied if she went to St Francis- Oh and the students that were admitted from her Elementary school because they were athletic-with lower grades went on to, one dropped out and the other is going to a community college-

As a parent of a current SFHS student and two SFHS graduates, this is a difficult review to write. With my first two Saint Francis graduates I give a glowing review. Facilities are fantastic, sports are great, a lot of school spirit and the education for my first two was very good. The review for my current student is not as glowing. She has had a different counselor each year, how can these counselors possibly know her and give her the necessary help with any questions she may have or help her with college admissions? The administration department has become bloated, the quality of the education and teachers has dropped way down when hiring an outside tutor is considered normal. It's difficult to understand why Saint Francis isn't a leader in teaching and educating during the Covid 19 pandemic. Opening the school and educating their students should have been their priority, instead they chose political correctness. With sadness I must say I cannot give Saint Francis a good review and I cannot recommend Saint Francis High School.

Very nice gym. Watched a Basketball game here. Very well maintained. There is ample seating available for spectators. Parking is limited close to the gym. There are other parking lots available to park.

Worst experience of my life, and I say this as somebody who's waded through a lot of crap. BLATANT racism, misogyny, homophobia, and other discrimination abound--from students, staff, *and* faculty--the counseling department is hamstrung by unhealthy administration policies cooked up to ramp up "student productivity," and the average amount of sleep among my friends and me was about four hours a night. I developed a panic disorder and severe depression from attending. I'm white, so I didn't get hit with the racism my friends did, but I'm not Christian and was barred from participating in their yearly "interfaith" service because according to campus ministry (verbatim!!), they were looking for non-Catholic Christian denominations, not members of other faiths. They also told me that my religion (which, to be fair, is relatively uncommon, but not unheard of; I'm a polytheist, but I made clear that I wasn't asking to have a speech or other large role, just help with planning and decorations) "isn't a religion in the eyes of the Catholic Church." After already saying no, I feel like that comment was uhhhh. Unnecessary. And pretty yikes. idk, maybe it's just me. It was certainly normal to the staff to whom I mentioned it. There also was a debacle while I was around that involved the disciplinary dean telling a student who asked if they could wear religious head coverings about how much she adored diversity and loved every religion, but that no, no student was allowed to wear religious head coverings. Basically, she loved diversity when she could sell it to prospective parents but didn't wanna see it when the students were actually there. There were a few fantastic, kind teachers who were devoted to their subjects and students, and really helped me out. I don't want to diminish their hard work. But as a whole, this institution is not one I would *ever* recommend to somebody, and I really hope that its backwards, harmful policies and attitudes change before more people are harmed. It's ridiculous they've been allowed to get away with their bs, especially because they consider "no students have killed themselves yet!" as a legitimate asset. I suppose in the horrendous Bay Area school culture, it may be, but I can assure you that it's not. thanks for reading my tirade. tl;dr, SFHS is a really, really bad place and I regret every second I spent there. Edit: I graduated three years ago and moved cross-country for college. It's been a much better experience, thankfully.
