“This is my favorite asian market. They have a great selection of food here. I cannot find Singaporean foods anywhere else, but here they have many different sambal and specialty items. I love the wide variety of instant noodles like indomie and mi sedap. And I found chili garlic sauce here that I have searched 5 other stores for! They also have a nice selection of plates. I found small bowls for sauce that are beautiful and affordable.”

“Oakwood Market has been a staple in East Palo Alto. The owners are very customer friendly and know their customers and community. They have variety of produce and proteins. The chorizo, breakfast sausage, party wings are a must get. Again they have a variety of things so go ahead and give them a try. Weather you're in Palo Alto , it's literally right over the bridge. They have a huge parking lot out side so you don't have to worry about that. Thanks again to the Oakwood family for taking care of the community and people. Much love.”
“We ordered a Brisket sandwich along with 3 BLTs another chicken sandwich, all of them were outstanding! They were made to order as specified. We even ordered a gluten-free sandwich and it was great! We called in the order early in the morning and it was ready for us at the specific time we indicated. I also had the opportunity to shop at the meat counter and buy some air chilled organic chicken and grass-fed very lean ground beef. Wish I had more time to shop around the store.”
“The store is much improved from previous ownership and management. Much cleaner, more organized and the quality of the meat department much better as is the produce and bakery. The roasted chickens are also really good. Self checkout is a welcome addition. Only problem is they sold out their corn bread before I got there!!! It's delicious. Moist, corny and a little sweetness. Next time I'll get there earlier.”
“Great selection of liquor with some really hard-to-find bottles. The owner was super nice, helpful, and even generous enough to let me try a few offerings. I’m from out of town, but he treated me like I’d been a loyal customer for years. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to whenever I’m in the area.”

“Lions food market is excellent plus there's so many people working at the register that you'll never be in a long line plus there's so many good food and things that you could pick up buy coffee vegetables seafood fresh seafood meet there's all kinds of different things you can buy over there and what the best thing about it is they always serve you with a smile when they're at the register they're really humble I've been going over here for about 2 years or more and I continue to go over there because I love the different things they have in the shelf so I highly recommend this place because they're really humble in there they're kind attentive and they're really not that expensive there's all kinds of different items you can pick out of to buy so join me at the Lions food market because you'll never regret it there's so many things to buy fresh seafood fresh meat canned food coffee candy fresh vegetables rice and all they're all reasonable prices don't hesitate to come in the lions food market you just keep going back for more just like I do I love their Vietnamese coffee I drink that everyday”
“My husband and I we're looking for playing cards. We looked all around and we finally asked two employees. Both were willing to look for the cards. But Marcus is an exceptional employee. While he was still doing his job, he was looking up and down the aisles for our playing cards. He was very helpful. We have only been down here for an hour and already two people have been very helpful to us. Great service”

“I hope this message reaches the store manager.I want to star by saying that the store is much better than it used to be . It is cleaner, more organized and it seems like there are more employees working, which I appreciate as a regular customer. However I would like to share an incident I witnessed on Saturday 7th around 5:30pm, I was waiting in line to pay when a customer began yelling at the cashier, the cashier called another employee a young man to help and he kindly offered to assist the customer, unfortunately the customer continued yelling at him, another employee had to step in because the customer became aggressive toward the young man. The employee who intervened appeared to be shaking from the shock of the situation. I felt very bad for the employees, who were simply trying to do their jobs. I also felt unsafe. It made me wonder how often your staff has to deal with this kind of situations. I truly hope the employees are supported and protected in these situations. Given how common incidents like this seem to be in the store, it might be worth considering having security to help protect both employees and customers.”

“Great place to grab a quick bite of sodium heavy and fatty foods, which make things taste good! Also super cheap in this day and age. For under 4 bucks, you get their big hotdog with drink and a pizza. Even the relish and onions (need to ask for the latter tho) have made a comeback! I do wish they'd bring back the combo pizza. At least you can get some veggies in that. There's always the Caesar salad, though I have previously never gotten it.”
