Fred is great guy, got everything taken care of for us. When we got there, everything's ready, zero wait time. He even offered free dollies and moving blankets. We've got an awesome experience.

Don't get UHaul from here; poorly stocked, no equipment like dollys. The owner was quick to cancel our order when we asked though. Consider getting UHaul from elsewhere.

I had a decent experience recently at the UHaul in Mt. View - not terrible, not great. It was my first time using the remote check-out/pickup which was kind of confusing and not as straight forward as I expected. However, I did get a call from an agent in the Mt. View location the day before my reservation to review the details of my order and to answer any questions that I had. Good job on that! The truck I got was old, pretty beat up and had very high mileage. This would have been a concern if I had a long distance move, but I was just using it around town. The dashboard light for the airbags was illuminated, so clearly it had not been serviced in some time. Also, there was hardly any gas in it! Why would they rent out a truck that was nearing empty? Like I said, didn't care because I only needed to drive about 30 miles roundtrip. Upon return, the agent was quick about checking me out so that I could be on my way. He did explain the various charges and was surprised to learn that the truck was basically without gas upon pickup. Overall, good marks for in-person customer service, low marks for equipment and upkeep.ZERO stars for the agents/reps that you get on the phone (the "call center" reps). I was asking questions about the remote pickup process and this gal got super impatient with me, sighed and said Let me just text you the video! I asked to be connected to a rep at the physical location and she hung up on me. Of course, I never got that video. Also they offer 'customer service chat' on the app, but when you initiate messaging, it auto-responds that there isn't anyone available. Stupid. You have some work to do UHaul!

FYI this place is just a garage/gas station now. There is no UHAUL sign. You can still rent a truck here but it's super confusing and the workers/mechanics aren't really happy about dealing with car rental customers. So I made an online reservation to pick up a truck and got a call the day of asking me to come early "or there might not be anyone here to help you." OK.... Also I was advised not to leave my car here too late as it's "not safe." ALSO I was quoted $40 something for the rental which was confirmed the day off but when I got home (having turned in the van early and still with a full tank of gas) I found an extra $20 something charge with NO explanation! I sent messages to both corporate and the local guy and no one has bothered to reply. I mentioned this on the survey too. AVOID!!!

It's very hard to see tell that this place is a u-haul. It's in an auto shop. Also if the u-haul guys aren't there you're pretty screwed. You have to check in online and then wait 20 to 30 minutes for one of the mechanics to figure it out. I had requested a dolly and had it confirmed on the reservation but they didn't have one. The move was pretty brutal without it.

My one star review is solely for the service here, and I've begun to think that there's just lackluster service at every U-Haul for some reason. It took almost an hour again just to return the truck that I had rented. Luckily I had come in early and it didn't end up costing me more money because I was late, but I did end up getting charged $10 extra after I left because apparently I drove 3-4 miles over the limit, but was not told this as I was returning the car.

The U Haul place was hard to find. I saw the trucks but eventually after walking into the mechanic garage and talking to the main guy I realized I was at the right place. Not a huge deal just not super easy to find. After that the service was fair and quick and I couldn't be happier to have my stuff all moved.

Had an appointment for 1:15, got here at 1:14 and the U-Haul guy is gone to lunch for an hour. Instead of waiting around we just went to the nearby U-Haul of Mountain View location.

I brought in a BMW, still under warranty and a maintenance contact as headlights are not covered by either. BMW quoted it for $195 and these guys did it for $40. They didn't even charge for the bulb :)
