Beware - they do not scan the packages. I have dropped off the package and it went missing. I can not even file a complaint to USPS now as it is not marked as accepted and I have no proofs to the contrary. Avoid my mistake, request to scan and if they refuse find another postal office.

Very nice and knowledgeable USPS employee answered all my questions
On getting the access to the Postal Office - I've just demonstrated my CA driving license, stated that I wanted to visit the Post office to check for my mail and I was allowed to drive in with no further questions

Not publicly accessible! USPS should clearly identify this and not suggest this location to off-base public. I had a package forwarded to this post office for customer pick-up. Customer was not allowed through checkpoint despite having a documented business at the post office. Calls to the published phone number were not picked up. The issue remains unresolved.

DON'T use credit cards or mobile payment apps at this post office. System crashes ALL the time according to postal staff. It happened to me. Waited half an hour and system was still frozen? Postal staff didn't know how to fix. Had to go to a different, more modern post office.

I lost three packages in a month. I highly suspect someone in usps steal packages. My roommate also found a letter in our mailbox was opened.

I just showed my ID (DL) to the officers and stated that I need to visit the post office. They told me that the office is NOT open to the public and asked me to make a U-turn.
