I had one bowl that was my absolute favorite. The shape, size, and weight were prefect and so it was constantly in the sink or dishwasher. I took the bowl to Quyle Kilns and asked them to make eight of the same bowl. Not only did they reproduce the bowl, they made them more beautiful than the original. I don't usually get emotional about my dishes, but I am in love with my new set of bowls!

We had a lovely visit. The owner took us on a tour. Everyone was very friendly. They offer a variety of products. It was difficult to choose. There were so many great items. We'll probably go there again when we are in the area.

Drove by the sign for this a couple of times and then finally stopped! A great collection of ceramics and then some! We wandered through the facility with the owner. Great fun. We saw where they made and packaged the wet clay. The kilns! The workshops! Well worth your time and energy! There are multiple other attractions including a winery in the same parking area.

My wife and I came for a "slab bowl" pottery-making class with Katie Lackler. Despite having no previous experience, we had a great time. Katie kept the class informative and fun. After initial instruction, she did a great job of visiting each student to answer individual questions and to offer up other ideas as to what else the student may be interested in doing. It was also interesting to see the ideas that fellow students came up with.

If you're in the area and have interest in the ceramics process or art in general, you should stop by Quyle Kilns for a visit. The folks working there were super friendly, showed us all around and talked about the the history of the space and what they were doing there now. Nice work for sale in the shop at very reasonable prices. There's a small winery across the driveway also worth a visit and plenty of nice hiking trails with art and sculptures all around on the property.

Happened to be in town the weekend of the Artists In-Person Studio Tour (2021). We visited several sites on the list, one of which was Quyle Kilns. Ok, my wife is the artist. She's thrown pots and had her own kiln. So a visit to Quyle Kilns seemed a no-brainer. It's an artist destination, with an impressive history of producing beautiful pieces of all kinds. During our visit there was the addition of several local artists displaying their works in the outside space. A great stop. What made it especially fun for me was finding the beautiful printing press inside, and hearing that back when Paul and Joyce Quyle received the press, the building that it sits in today had yet to be built, so it was placed in the living room of their not-too-spacious residence. The press is absolutely beautiful, and we were told that its twin sister lives at the Smithsonian. Definitely worth a stop in.

Wonderful family own and run pottery. So many beautiful handmade ceramic pieces to pick from. Whimsical creatures, fabulous dishes, creative tea sets and comfy mugs for your morning brew. It's a great place to buy one of a kind gifts.
