I was not diligent at first. After 2 weeks with no update I ended up speaking to multiple different representatives regarding status updates, only to be met with inconsistent anecdotes. I personally guaranteed payment for all repairs, and again more lies and misdirection. They originally quoted $13k, ended up being $8k. They took 99 days to complete DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!

If you don’t want to live a nightmare, I recommend not taking your car to this body shop they kept my car from September 12, 2022 - December 14, 2022\nI can write a book about this place. It happened to me twice the first time I thought it was a mistake, I went there the second time and it was twice worst.\nI will never go there again. This is a horrible place!!

DONT USE THIS SHOP!! I brought my vehicle in to get fixed and it sat on their lot for 30days with nothing done except the disassembly. Which I believe they do immediately to make it tougher for you to just leave. Needless to say after 30 days of BSing I had requested to get my vehicle out of there. Nick was the guy I was speaking to the whole time and he was completely full of it! Never calling me back when promising me too and constantly blaming Geico for the vehicle being in the state that it’s in. Worse part about it, is that I was on hold for almost an hour because they were “busy” and couldn’t take my call so I decided to drive to the shop while still being on hold and to my surprise the shop was COMPLETELY EMPTY and two of the receptionist were speaking to each other and Monica the “Manager” was at her desk eating a sandwich. Everyone is entitled to a lunch break don’t get me wrong but the message I was given was that they were “Busy”. After speaking to Monica she wanted to “Help” me by saying that instead of charging me 30 days of storage the shop would charge me 10 days! As if I took my vehicle there to get stored. The funny thing is that they were charging Geico 10 hours of labor. I still haven’t been able to figure out how 10 hours of labor translated to 10 days of storage. But anyways with the help of my personal injury lawyer and Geico I was able to get my vehicle transferred to another shop. DONT COME TO THIS SHOP, THEY WILL JUST FIND A WAY TO MAKE MONEY OUT OF YOU. BAD BUSINESS FOR SURE!Service: Body & Trim

First off.. run don't walk away from this business. They have been suspended by the State of California since October 1st, 2021 and are operating illegally. You can verify this for yourself by looking them up on the state of California Secretary of State website doing a simple business search. To add insult to injury they do not have a business license in the city of Murrieta. This business is owned by Douglas Edward Albin and Alicia Coates Albin. No one wants to to have to take their car to a body shop but when they do need to, they expect that they will be dealt with honestly and not taken advantage of, but this is exactly what this company did. The Albin's participate in fraudulent and predatory business practices and take advantage of people. I was referred to this company by Honda after my car was damaged in an accident. In the middle of October 2022 I took my Honda Passport in for repair and Nick Pellegrino, the front office manager did our intake. The lies and deception started before we arrived. I notified my insurance that I wanted my car to be taken to Collision Body Works for service. My agent said his records showed the business was suspended. I called and spoke Nick, told him what my insurance company was saying and he said he would check on it and get right back to me. About 5 minutes later Nick came back and said that all was good with their business and nothing was suspended. That was the first lie. When I dropped my car off (Had to be towed in) Nick did my intake, and he talked a good game about how he would be on top of things and be checking in with me regularly. That was the second lie. Nick also told me to expect pushback from the Insurance adjuster but not to worry they dealt with that all the time, and extensive experience and would take care of everything for me in that regard and I had nothing to worry about. That was the third lie and I haven't even signed the paperwork yet. Over the next three weeks I called for updates and was told Nick would call me back in "5 minutes", or "an hour" or whatever the line of the moment was, he didn't. Things got to the point where the insurance adjuster came back with what they were not willing to pay what Collision Body Works was asking, and they did absolutely nothing about it. They didn't even let me know for almost two weeks. Finally on Friday November 4th, I had had enough. I called and asked to speak with a manager, that is when Douglas Albin got on the phone. He started into a song and dance about the insurance company, and I asked him to hold on, I wanted to get my attorney on the phone so he could explain it to him hoping my attorney could help with the insurance company. Douglas Albin became VERY defensive and said "I dont talk to attorneys". I told Douglas I wanted my car fixed, to get it done and ended the conversation. About 20 minutes after speaking with Douglas I had an email demanding that I get my car by the next business day and that I owed over $3,000, most of it for storage fees. Douglas Albin also threatened to sale my car in a lien sale if I did not pay. This was nothing short of extortion and was and is criminal. That is when I started looking into the company. Their legal name is Innovative Mobile Auto Body, Inc. DBA Body Works Collision Center. I discovered they were suspended and for over year have not been allowed to be conduct business. I also discovered it is illegal for a repair shop to charge for both repairs and storage. After a very stressful weekend and talking with multiple attorneys I have filed a complaint with the bureau of automotive repair and they are investigating. If you have done business with this company and Douglas Albin has tried this tactic on you I would suggest you file a complaint with the bureau of automotive repair as well. I would also suggest you file a lawsuit, it is your full right to cancel your contract at anytime as they are not allowed to enter into contracts or defend themselves in court. This company and its owners are the type of people who gi

September 2022 by Cyann V.
Our car was hit by a truck on the front bumper on the drivers side. This all happened on June 29, 2022. We took our 2019 Honda Sport Manual to this place on July 2, 2022. The gave us an estimate and told us that it would only take a month. In the meantime the insurance only gave us a rental for a one month but the repair took longer than that. We were forced to use one car for an extra week per the repair company since the parts had not come in yet. We called and called days after that wondering when would the parts come in and the company had no arrival date. They won't very helping and just prolonging us from getting our car back. Already it's August 20, 2022, our insurance called the company wanting to know what be a good rough estimate that the car would be done. The company had no estimate date. No car repair company I went to prior never told us that they didn't have an estimate date for our car. The people at the company said that the final parts for the car had just came in and now the car is in process of paint and primer. Now it's already Sep 15, 2022 we called again saying it's been almost 3 months since we took our car in for the accident and nothing has progressed and no follow-ups on what's going on. Today we went to the company to see what's the situation with our car and they were waiting to get a hold on their higher up to release the car but for some reason he wasn't picking up or in his office. We heard this excuse many times as we called to find out the progress of our call and to no avail the manager didn't once follow up with us or anyone in his staff. We asked the women and men who answered our calls and nothing. We told them that if we don't get our car back today that we will sue as to there shouldn't be an excuse to take 3 whole months to fix a bumper. After that surprisingly we got our car back and as you can see it looks like it's been done awhile and just sitting in the back of the shop. Don't ever go here it's a scam and people are just keeping our cars to make money off of us. Save your money and do to more reliable repair shops. We regret coming to this place as we were forced to pay car payments and insurance on a car we haven't drove in 3 months and no compensation for it.

CONSUMER BEWARE! THIS PLACE IS A RIPOFF. They lure you in and then drop major charges on you in the end. These unnecessary add-on services are done by them outside the scope of the estimate to ensure you have to come out of pocket. They never ask your approval to perform these additional services. You won't find out until your vehicle is ready. For everyday that you don't/can't pay them they charge you a storage for the car. You either pay or lose your car. It's a classic Bait and Switch scam. Also, their work is sloppy. The office staff are hostile, sarcastic and demanding. They will never let you speak to the owner. When I told them I'd make formal complaints on their business....they laughed. They told me many people have made MANY complaints on them but never they amount to anything. They are pretty smug about that too. There are so many better choices like Gerber and Caliber. They do much better work too. I WOULD STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

This place tried to rip my daughter off! She was in an accident, the tow truck driver took her here. First they gave a 6K estimate, they wanted full payment before starting work, then they wanted to charge another 9K. They told her they’d charge $300 to fully assess -they charged $850. They pressured her to pay holding fees (they never gave notice of these possible fees) after she realized (based on their assessment) the repairs were more than the vehicle was worth. She was able to get a second opinion - it will only cost $4K to repair her car. They weren’t informing her, they were pressuring her, total scam. They are not accredited by the BBB, still I’ll be filing a complaint there too. Run for this place, especially if the tow trucker who probably gets a kick back brings you here- they are scammers!

CONSUMER BEWARE!!!!SHYSTERS!!!****They are currently being INVESTIGATED by Honda AND State Farm Insurance****Don’t be fooled when the Dealerships refer you to this place…citing they are “certified.”While Body Works is certified by Honda, etc…the ONLY thing they should be certified in is FRAUD.They give you a quote and they give you this con artist “Oscar winning” performance that they are family owned; they stand by their work; and customer satisfaction is all they care about. All they care about is milking you for money in hidden and fraudulent fees.If you don’t know the term “Bait and Switch” make sure you familiarize yourself with it. This place is a master at it.They took our car in.It was an insurance claim. They performed services “outside” what the insurance company (or we) authorized.Every time we called to check on the status of the car…Nick said he’d call back. He never called back. This went on for months.I tried to stay involved. They did everything to keep me out of the loop. This is where they get you. When the car was finally done and the insurance had paid all the claims…they told us we had to pay approximately $2000.00 for the “additional services” not covered by the insurance carrier. Needless, to say it came as a complete shock…as my calls were never returned AND I had not authorized any additional repairs. They then told me that on top of the nearly $2000.00 (which they make commission on) they were scamming me for…they said for every day the car remained there… they would now be charging $150.00 (per day). The insurance adjuster even went back out to Body Works to see if they could authorize any additional payments. The agreement between the insurance company, Body Works (Monica, the office mgr) and us was that Body Works would contact me when the adjuster arrived so that we could all be there at one time. Guess What? Body Works never called when the adjuster arrived. They blatantly lied to the adjuster and on the adjuster, as well as, on us.They NEVER called us.We asked to speak to Andy, the body shop mgr. He wouldn’t come out to talk to us. He wouldn’t return any phone calls. We merely wanted to find out why these unauthorized repairs were done. We then asked to speak to with the owner , Doug. Monica said no. She said she was the officer manager and it was her decision to charge the fee. She said everything goes thru her.Needless, to say further attempts to contact Doug resulted in him not returning any calls. To make a long story short…we had to pay the additional fees to get the car back. When picking up the car Monica was sarcastic, rude and slightly hostile which was a far cry from the “welcoming” environment when the car was initially dropped off.TO FURTHER ADD TO THEIR FRAUD…when we were leaving, another one of their con artist employees named Alexa, blatantly (and boastfully) stated “Just so you know, we’ve been reported many times to agencies like the BAR, etc. and nothing is ever done to us. They won’t do anything to us. So if you report us nothing will happen.”There you have it!When we got the car home…we realized the back lights don’t work which could endanger our lives. With all the other lies they’ve told…it makes one wonder if the lights not working is due to retaliation. If you use this place…make sure you google all their reviews first. The people who work at this place are masters at deception and fraud. They will lie to you. They will con you. They will hold your vehicle hostage until you pay their hidden (commission based fees). They have their fraudulent routine down.***CONSUMER BEWARE***

My son was rear ended on 6/14/21. I asked Honda if they recommend any shops and they said they send all their cars to Body Works. I had the car towed there and everything was handled through insurance. The car was pretty much brand new under a year old. I asked for all OEM parts. I agreed to pay the difference that the insurance would not pay. It was like $50 or so. Understandably, there were delays in parts due to covid. I get it. How about instead of over promising and under delivering, you do the opposite?!? It's makes you look better. I would get text messages and would follow up with a call for clarification and each time someone would have to look up my file. It would always be a different response than the message I received. They should assign ONE person to handle each case so there's not 10 people who don't know anything and will only read the notes (if they're even updated correctly). Anyways, it took 4 months for the car to be "completed" to running condition. Apparently there were still some minor parts that were still back ordered. We were finally told we could pick up the car and they would call when the other parts would arrive. That never happened. They agreed to have the window tinted since it was tinted when it was wrecked. It wasn't!! They also ruined the tint on the front windows where there were cloudy spots everywhere! My husband didn't even notice it until I said something. We asked about the OEM parts cost and Nick said it's been taken care of and not to worry about it. He gave us the keys and we left. The next day someone else calls saying we didn't pay! I said Nick told us it was taken care of not to worry about it. She became very rude and said no you have to pay. I said I'm fine with that but your guy said no and gave us the keys! I asked for a manager because of the terrible experience I was having. They never called me! I emailed their website asking for a manager to call me back. It never happened! One year later and we still never got a call about the parts that were not fixed and we are left with messed up tint! This place is very unorganized! I will never go back and do not recommend to anyone!

My twenty-six year-old granddaughter was in a collision. No injuries, no police. She called a tow truck and asked to be towed to a specific car repair. The tow truck driver insisted that he would only tow her to Body Works Collision. An employee looked at the car, wrote a detailed contract and had her sign it (BWC did not sign it). Then they wanted a $7,000 payment up front. She paid that but the next communication to her was that they had dismantled the front and would need another $9,000 to proceed. The total was $16,000 almost the price of a new car and she decided to try other avenues. BWC told her they would charge for the days her car was parked there. Then the next day told her they weren't charging. On the third day they told her to get her car off their lot or it would be towed. She is going someplace else for repairs ( at a reasonable price) and BWC did refund her $7,000. Nowhere better describes the old adage "Buyer Beware." If Yelp offered a minus option for evaluation, I would use it.

The only reason I was forced to use this body shop, was because Toyota Of Temecula used them to repaint my Tacoma after the white paint started to chip off. Some days before my appointment to drop off the truck at the dealer (thinking the dealer was the one that was going to actually paint it) I was into a small car accident. Toyota of Temecula mentioned to me (you should just have the body shop fix your truck) "it's going to be there anyways" I even told the rep that was checking in my truck it was a good idea. The experience I with the shop at first was good, someone called nick was helping me keeping me updated... from the beginning he told me it might take 4-6 weeks because parts are in back order and all that, so I'm like okay no biggie. Anyways now for the bad stuff after 5 weeks of them having my truck, only actually working on it the last 2 weeks.. they end up scratching my window tint and tell me they need it 2-3 days more! I was like nope, I'm out of rental for the last week having to borrow cars, so I say just give me the money that my tint cost, they gave me about 70% back, when I get there I see my bumper doesn't align, perfect they drilled holes in the bumper for the license plate, after I requested and reminded them like 10 times. When I get home the next day or two I go over it and notice they scratch my door panels a lot! All 4 and there is overspray in some parts of the truck.. now for the dealer paying them over 5k and my insurance over 3k you expect a perfect job how it should be... I highly recommend you not going here at all! If your dealer wants to send your car here request to pick a different one. They were responsive and answered my calls while the truck "was being worked on" but now they ignore my emails and say "nick is busy he will return your call and nothing". I went in person and he assure me they will call me to set an appointment to "try" and fix my bumper... haven't heard anything (that was 2 weeks ago)
