At first everything seemed to be above standard, as what you would expect from such a new hotel.I don't know what the deal is with their smoke detectors however on 3 separate occasions it had went off on its own.One time was from my girlfriend straightening her hair. Then from microwaving a digorno microwavable pizza. Finally, when I was ironing my shirt for the following morning. Each time time we received a call from the front desk asking I'd everything was okay in which we explained the situation. The following morning we got a knock on our door at 8 am from a guy weilding a ladder saying he needs to check out the fire alarm. Being still in our sleepwear we asked for a few minutes. The man walked in and spent the entire time looking at our belongings in the room. When he got just below the fire alarm he picked a little chunk of deodorant that had broken off from the stick examining it closely. Barely glanced at the smoke detector which still had solid red lights. Then proceeded to tell us that we were wrong about our claim that those lights had been on since the first time it went off two nights prior and accused us of smoking cigarettes and that he could smell them. For one, I do not smoke cigarettes at all. We quickly deny his accusation and he leaves.Shortly after we receive a call on the room phone from the front desk asking what would be a good time for someone to come by and reset the alarm. We agreed on noon.Noon comes by and it's the same "technician" or "maintenance man."Weilding the same ladder and not one tool on him he claims that we need to be out of the room for 30 minutes while he resets the smoke detector.During his previous walk-through his eyes were studying all of our belongings rather than the smoke detector. The front desk did not say some strange man was going to be in our room unattended for 30 minutes. Every other hotel I've ever been to. When a room needed some sort of service done not once has it been required that we need to leave the room while it was being serviced.I tell him that we were not notified of anything like that and I do not feel comfortable with a stranger being unattended in the room without anyone being here. Once again this man has no tools, just a ladder. He says that the fire department will have to come and remove me from the room to reset it. That's if I don't allow him to be in the room unattended.I tell him that the best I can do is wait in the entry way by the bathroom with the door open. This still wasn't good enough for him.Annoyed I stood out in the hallway with the door ajar listening and he did not even undo the ladder to touch the smoke detector and was in the room for a matter of 3 minutes. This was an absolutely bizarre experience. I've had belongings stolen from my room from housekeeping at other establishments and I'll be damned if I let that happen again.Whatever this man was in my room to do it had nothing to do with our smoke detector. How did a task that was supposed to take 30 minutes now magically be finished in a couple minutes?I believe he had every intent to rifle through our belongings if not that his purpose seemed to be of malicious intent.Never have I ever heard of reseting a smoke detector being such a "safety hazard." That all occupants must be vacated from the room.Experience had red flags written all over it and whatever that man did was not in the best interest of serving the customer.

I stayed here with my family for 8 nights in August 2023. Everything would have been good except that my engagement and wedding rings along with other valuable jewelry were stolen in this hotel by the cleaning staff. I reported to the hotel manager with all the details surrounding the theft. She initially acted nice, promising to investigate and file insurance claim for refund of the value of the jewelry. After a couple of follow ups, she stopped taking my calls and has not lived to her word to file the claim or contact me.

I'm a business owner for 34 years in Temecula, excited to have holiday Inn express in Murrieta untill today.I have recommended you guys multiple times maybe only 100 days, but at least this.Today went to check family at 1215 and was told $50 up charge, if we waited untill 1pm no charge.Amazing 1st time ever in 40 years of traveling around the world this has happened.I'm a man of principle not a man of money, We were only dropping off bags, business must be good, you just lost a customer.Idiots for management, at least at this location.Lots of options choose another hotel in the aera.Customer service is non existence.Note parking lot had 5 cars.Empty hotel.

There was an incident the night we stayed here with a couple outside. She ran guy over police were called. Come to find out they people staying next to us was the couple that had incident. They were up all night yelling and didn't get any sleep. It was 4 in the morning and we didn't want to call and get moved to another room. At check out manager did not offer us a discount because she doesn't deal with 3rd parties. . Don't stay at this hotel.

Stayed here for two nights and it was a nice, clean hotel. The pool and jacuzzi were great. The pool was heated and felt great. The morning breakfast was pretty good. I like the fact we didn't have any extra fees like parking and Wi-Fi.

Great hotel. The staff were super friendly and helped us out with our late arrival. The room was big and super clean. The beds were comfy and the shower and bathroom pretty big. We had the breakfast and it's ok but not too big. Plenty of variety. Wifi worked great overall. Good place to stay.

Not the most fanciest hotel I've been to, but it checks out most of things I need. This hotel is definitely my go-to hotel locally. Rooms were always clean, nice, and simple. The building seems well kept thanks to the housekeeping team, I really appreciate them for what they do. Free breakfast is always nice and always well stocked. Overall, great experience with front desk and with the customer service. I just hope other guests won't thrash this place up.

LOVE this hotel...... This is an amazing location but one of the employees at the front desk has no idea what she's doing and has been calling my room nonstop. I finally had to come to the front desk and ask them to stop calling. The breakfast is GREAT. I've actually had no issues with anyone here except for the woman at front desk; who I've had a problem with twice now in my 4-5 days of being here. I booked 2 nights and this stay. I also stayed here a week ago. Breakfast is wonderful, laundry on site, pool and everything but I do believe the woman at the front desk needs training in customer service. Would have easily rated 5 stars if it weren't for the woman at the front desk.

This place was great and included complimentary breakfast, free parking, free wifi, and all for a very affordable price. The rooms were spacious and clean. The shower is huge with glass doors. The bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was great. Will definitely stay here again next time I'm in town for business.

Overall, the stay was positive. We stayed here for our son's basketball tournament. We ended up staying an extra night. The room was clean upon arrival. The beds were comfortable. The a/c is preset to a generous temp which is VERY nice. You set the temp to 67 degrees and it actually hits 67 degrees; unlike the other IG hotel we stayed in afterwards. The other hotel's temp is preset to not go below 73 degrees no matter what you lower it to. The breakfast at this Holiday Inn actually pretty descent. I absolutely loved their cinnamon rolls when they were warm. I wish H.I. would keep coffee replenished in the lobby. Breakfast ends, so does the coffee. Just like other hotels, H.I. is stuck with the COVID customer service restrictions. Guests have to call down to the front desk to have the rooms serviced, however guests can go to the front desk to obtain clean towels, toiletries, etc. America's post COVID crisis-general business motto, "provide less service, yet charge a higher rate." I drop my stay one star strictly because of the front desk clerk. I noticed a discrepancy in our charge. I went to the car to grab my phone to verify my booking reservation. I came back in and asked why the discrepancy. I thought maybe there was a deposit, however wanted to be clear. The clerk appeared annoyed by me questioning the discrepancy. There is a $75 deposit that's credited back at check out. Word of advice H.I. inform guests of the charge at check- in. There was an African American clerk that was awesome. She greeted every guest coming in and out of the hotel.Doubt I'll be in the area again, but I certainly recommend this hotel, and I would certainly stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights for a business trip. Upon entry, the temperature of the lobby was cold. There was an indistinguishable chemical smell that surrounded the lobby. After checking in, I took the elevator to get to my room and noticed that the hand sanitizers were empty -- for both days I stayed. My room was nice until it was bedtime. I had difficulty sleeping due to the freeway noise. It was very loud. You can also hear the footsteps from above you as the guests above me walking. Needless to say, it was a terrible sleep. I got up early around 5 AM to head to work and was surprised that the hallway lights were off. I had to pass two doors, with my phone flashlight, to trigger the light sensor - this happened on both nights/early mornings. When I got in the lobby, I noticed that there was no one at the front desk to monitor the entrance for safety issues -- happened twice during my stay.During my returns from work -- around 730pm, I expected my room to be replenished with coffee/toiletries and cleaned, but no one came in to clean it. The trash from last night's dinner, bed not made, and bathroom/toilet not cleaned. Will I stay at this hotel again? I WILL NOT ! Will I recommend it? I WILL NOT!
