This bank was a dream when it was BBVA. Once PNC took over, forget about it. The turnover is high. So there are never the same employees. No one bothers to get to know you. Very cold and impersonal. Switching to another bank.

PNC has been a bit of a challenge BUT 4.65% interest on a high yield account is pretty awesome so I am willing to jump through the hoops. I started with 4.5 and it was just increased to 4.65! I will review again in hopes of them getting to a 5 star situation. I have called and talked to several representatives who were all very helpful. I am rooting for them!

Tried to open a high yield savings account at this joke of a bank and they "need more information than you are able to provide online, therefore we cannot continue processing your online application at this time." No opportunity to provide any additional info, just a flat out no. So I took my money to a competing bank and opened an account in 5 minutes. Considering all the one star reviews it looks like they did me a favor and saved me from their crappy customer service.

This bank has been our primary financial institution for 25 years. The bank has changed ownership several times in that 25 years. But we stayed with them because the employees stayed mostly the same, know us by name and were great. Recently PNC bought the bank and things were anything BUT seamless. We were told that our direct deposits and online bill pay and auto drafts would not need to be changed at all. Great.... Not true. We had our car insurance (auto draft) get messed up over and over because the bank wouldn't approve the auto draft because the "routing number" of our account had changed. Then because the bank wouldn't allow the draft multiple times, the car insurance company that we have had for 20 years DROPPED US! And PNC has not retained as many employees as previous companies did. It is so frustrating to have plenty of money in the bank but have a bank that won't let that money go to pay your bills. And the whole feeling of the bank has changed. Everyone used to be so smiley and happy. They had a restroom you could use if need be, and a water dispenser while you wait. Now they expect you to either walk (or drive) half a block to a fast food place to use the restroom. And have a water dispenser but are not allowed (by PNC rules) to give you a cup of water! Even prisoners get water and a dang toilet! In spite of the fact that some employees there are pretty nice, this company needs to be kinder to their customers. We may switch bank soon. Sad, since we have been banking here so long.

Do not go to this bank!!! It has been sold repeatedly and the branch manager is cold and uncaring. I am a senior citizen who just had her wallet stolen on vacation, losing both my debit card and drivers license. I reported the loss of my debit card immediately, but now am unable to get ANY money out of the bank. I have been waiting for a new debit card for more than a week now. When I went into the Murrieta branch on California Oaks Road this morning, the branch manager would not allow me to withdraw ANY money without two forms of ID. Of course I don't have two forms of ID because my wallet was stolen. Even my passport would not suffice. I know my social security number, mother's maiden name, the balances in all three of my accounts, but still they would not help me. This experience is compounding the trauma I've already experiencing with the theft of my wallet. As soon as I get a new driver's license and can withdraw my money, I am closing my accounts. Save yourself a headache and avoid this bank!!!

Do not go to this bank!!!! It has been sold frequently and the tellers and branch manager are very impersonal and unhelpful. I am a senior citizen who just had her wallet stolen thereby losing both my debit card and driver's license. I immediately called to report my debit card stolen. Now a week later, PNC won't let me take any money out of my account, even with my passport. I have a balance in excess of $10,000 and they won't even let me take out $20. I know my social security number, mother's maiden name, the balances in all my accounts, etc. But they still won't let me take ANY money out of my account. They say I must have two forms of ID. Of course I don't have two forms of ID because my wallet was stolen. It's been more than a week and I am STILL waiting for a new debit card to arrive in the mail. The worst thing though is their attitude -- cold and uncaring.

BBVA was great before being bought and changed to PNC bank. BE CAUTIOUS BEFORE OPENING ANY KIND OF ACCOUNTS BECAUSE THEY CAN BE CLOSED FOR NO REASON AT ALL. YOU WONT BE ABLE TO PAY YOUR BILLS AND WILL HAVE NO ACCESS TO ANY OF YOUR MONEY. ALSO YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR YOUR MONEY TO BE RETURNED IN FORM OF A CHECK IN 1-3 BUSINESS WEEKS!! WOULDN'T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!! BEWARE!!
