“My children have had a really positive experience at Children’s Lighthouse, and as a parent, that matters so much to me. One thing I appreciate most is how welcoming and friendly the staff is overall. I’ve had a lot of interaction with Miss Michelle, the director, and she’s always warm and present. She greets families in the morning, says goodbye at the end of the day, and genuinely interacts with the children. The kids love her, especially when she brings out fun little toys or prizes at pickup time. It creates such a positive environment.

Miss R is also incredibly kind and bubbly. She’s one of the first people you see in the morning and one of the last people you speak to before leaving, and it’s always nice having someone so pleasant to chat with.

I don’t get a ton of face-to-face time with my children’s teachers during drop-off & pick up because they’re usually already inside the classrooms, but my kids absolutely adore them. They constantly come home talking about their teachers in such a positive way. I’ll hear things like, “Miss Sandra helped me with this,” or “Miss Sandra helped me solve a problem today.” “Miss Sandra says we don’t say potty words” lol. Even though my youngest child isn’t in classroom 1 anymore her former teachers like Ms Dawn and Ms Yadira still see her and play with her and update me on funny things they’ve witnessed her doing. Hearing those stories makes me feel very comfortable and safe leaving my children there because I know they’re being cared for with patience and kindness.

I also appreciate how clean the school is. One thing I personally love is that they don’t use sand in the play areas. As a parent of young children with textured hair, not having to wash sand out every single day is honestly a huge plus.

The school uses a digital app to keep parents updated throughout the day. While I do wish the app was a little more detailed, it still gives me a good idea of my children’s daily routine, like meal times, naps, and activities. And the staff responses promptly in the app.

Another thing I really appreciate is that all of my children’s schoolwork comes home weekly. It allows me to actually see their progress; whether it’s coloring, writing letters, or other developmental skills and helps me understand where I can continue helping them at home.

Each classroom also has a monthly itinerary explaining what the children will be learning and focusing on. Whether it’s science, math, or another subject, it’s always very clear. I love that because it helps me stay involved and continue reinforcing those lessons at home.

I also think it’s really sweet how the school celebrates holidays and includes parents in activities. Things like making Mother’s Day or Father’s Day crafts, writing letters to Santa, or doing art projects together create really special memories for families. And my kids really enjoy the different spirit week activities.

Overall, Children’s Lighthouse has felt clean, safe, friendly, and structured. Most importantly, my kids are happy there and are genuinely learning, and that gives me a lot of peace as a parent.”

“We’ve been with the center for a couple of years, and since the transition to J4K we have appreciated the beautiful campus upgrades, curriculum, and activities! The staff is loving and supportive of the students, and it’s a small enough center that you recognize everyone. We’re glad we found J4K for our kiddo.”

“Finding a childcare center you fully trust with your children is priceless, and we are beyond grateful for this center. My daughter has been attending for almost 7 years, and my younger son has been here since he was an infant. Watching both of them grow, learn, and genuinely love going to school every day says everything.

The teachers truly care about the children and go above and beyond to make them feel safe, loved, and supported. My kids have learned so much here academically, socially, and emotionally. It feels like a second family to us.

One of my absolute favorite features is the live camera access, and the updates on our children throughout the day. Being able to log in at any time and check on my children gives me so much peace of mind and reassurance!

The facility is clean, welcoming, and very well run. I’ve referred multiple friends and family members here, and they all love it just as much as we do.

We are so thankful for everything this center and its amazing staff have done for our family over the years. I highly recommend them to any parent looking for a safe, caring, and trustworthy place for their children.”

“My kiddo has been there since she has been two and she is now 8, hands down the best place and decision Ive ever made. They treat my daughter like if they were their own. I feel safe and confident to leave her there. They feed her, take her to school and pick her up from school and that takes a huge load off my worries. The help her with her school and her grades are awesome and if you have any concern where you kiddo is falling behind they take it a priority to help. She come home with drawings and crafts I look forward her creativity. One of my favorite things about Kindercare is that they take the time to take pictures and videos to keep you included your kiddos care. You always know what they are doing. “Our son had been going to Stepping Stones for nearly three years. In that time, he flourished under their care. He learned so much and they prepared him so well for when he was ready to move on. We started Transitional Kinder this last month and our son was ahead of many of the students in his classroom. Aside from the learning aspect, our son loved going to school. From the first day, he didn't whine or cry about being dropped off, but he was a little grumpy sometimes. Anytime he was grumpy or not himself, they allowed him to warm up and gave him a ton of love. Now that he's in TK, he has enjoyed it, but does still ask about his "old school" often. The staff her is great, Roxanne is an excellent caretaker of her staff and kids. We'd do this all over again with them if given the opportunity with a future child. Your kids are safe here. Your kids will learn here. Your kids will be loved here.”

“I had a wonderful experience with Discovery Isle overall. I moved from VA and reached out and was provided with great information and detail care. Once I arrived I toured with Ms. Nefris and loved the preschool, safety, location as well as the staff. The staff are incredibly caring, attentive, and genuinely love working with the children. My child was always excited to go and came home happy, which says a lot about the nurturing environment they provide. The activities are creative and engaging, and I always felt confident my child was safe and well-looked after.

My child fell in love with his two teachers, Ms. Blake & Mrs. Jennifer. They weren’t just watching him—they were truly teaching him and inspired him. In his time there, he learned so much, from Spanish words and famous painters to animal facts and more. They even helped instill a sense of responsibility through classroom roles, which he loved and took pride in.

Every day, he came home excited to share what he had learned, and I could see his confidence and curiosity grow. The only two downsides for us were that lunch was not provided daily, which meant extra daily prep for parents, and the outdoor play area had sand. While my child loved playing in it, it did mean a lot of sand made its way into my car and home. Also, I did enjoy (optional & additional cost- $5) pizza Friday's for my son where I didn't have to prep lunch :).

Overall, I highly recommend Discovery Isle for their loving staff, great activities, and safe environment—just be prepared to pack lunches, plenty of love & care and deal with a little extra sand!

“Kiddie Academy is the village you hear about when you’re looking for an extended family for your kids. We went here with my daughter years ago (4th grader now) and have returned with our son and are about to start TK with them. With the area being so busy now and so many options of schools, it’s great to have a group of people years later like Miss Bree and Miss Sarah that continue to be reliable day in and day out. It’s the security we have with their locked entry way, accessible staff that know you, and amazing classrooms that are age appropriate that keep us coming back. I cannot recommend Kiddie Academy enough.”

“My daughter started in the tiny twos class here and she grew so much! The teachers are incredible & I always felt like she was in the best hands. They have cute tiny toilets, so it was easy for my daughter to potty train. I love their activities and large playground, complete with tricycles. They even had a bike-a-thon..it was so adorable! I can’t say enough about this preschool, we’re so glad to have found it.”
