Rude staff, we called at 8:40 to place an order for pickup and staff said they close 9 sharp and to come pickup our food within 10 minutes. We even received a call at 8:54 pm to see where we were. We showed up 9:00 pm to find the restaurant full of patrons and as a matter of fact had to wait another 10 minutes for our food. We didnt feel appreciated being rushed for no reason. Ceasar salad is ok and the rest of the food was good.

I highly recommend the Sole special (w/mash pot, spinach), the saffron pasta w/wild mushroom, and the mushroom ravioli. Paired with savignon blanc. I'm sure adding a meat only heightens the dish. For the wife's bday, we sat 3 plus a baby outside towards winter's end. I wish the wind guards were more secure, but... great place otherwise. There's an exclusive experience in "the vault" (building used to be a bank) that I'm sure makes you feel like a $ million bucks. The blackberry cabernet sorbet for the birthday girl was a hit. Everything was extremely tastely, we shared everything Italian family style. Who wants to get locked into one dish?

The gnocchi was great, the ravioli was but the added on sausage was a bit too much. We like spicy but it over powered everything else. Tiramisu was good but not enough espresso soaked for my liking. Sat outside under the enclosure with heaters and was nice.

Unfortunately didn’t like the food here. The gnocchi was undercooked and the spaghetti was too tangy and tomatooyeee!!The drinks and vibe of the place was great!

This place is terrible. It's an embarrassment to Italian food. This is the kind of place old Napa locals have probably just been going to for years and years and it's all they know, and think it's great. They're wrong.. please don't waste your time or money here or you're like us and experienced in good eats/restaurants!We just went for dinner last night on a Saturday night. You can usually tell how the food is going to be from the bar/cocktail options/bartenders so we knew right away seeing how limited and naive the cocktail menu was (and how the bartender looked confused when we asked about the possibility of making a black Manhattan... he looked like he'd never heard of a Manhattan in his life even though they offer one on the menu ) that we were going to be disappointed. The blood orange martini had no balance to it... it tasted very artificial and one note. I had to change it out for a dirty martini (something difficult to mess up). Even the Negroni we ordered was too heavy on the Campari. The bread was really plain, boring, and served with an olive oil, balsamic, shallot, and onion dip that was wayyy too much onion. It really needs to be balanced out with maybe pieces of olive, garlic, red peppers, chili flakes to commit to the muffaletta vibe that they seem to be going for there or just keep it simple with oil and vinegar. The pasta was terrible. The gnocchi were dense, dough filled pieces in a flavorless pesto. The rigatoni con salsiccia offered dry, frozen sausage drenched in basic marinara and box rigatoni. Definitely nothing made from scratch here. Carpaccio also left much to be desired. It was also flavorless and underseasoned. It's not wagyu guys... it needs some salt.Definitely will not return here

The food, service & ambience were all very good at Ristorante Allegria! The reason for 3 stars has to do with an unfortunate experience. We were seated within clear view of the hostess station. One of the 2 women working there had food at the station. She was eating with her hands, licking her fingers, wiping them across her mouth & then running them through her hair. It was extremely unappetizing to see. I worked in restaurants all through college & NEVER was food allowed at the hostess station! That is where the 1st impression of the restaurant occurs. In most places, staff are given meal time either before or after service, not during service. I hope this young women can be trained properly in her job duties. It made a very bad impression on us. I will recommend Ristorante Allegria only because the food & service were so good.

The ambiance is excellent...old world charm. Our waitress was very professional and anxious to please. Dinner was excellent—pork piccata and homemade pasta with bolognese sauce both good.

Ristorante Allegria is an old bank building and has great charm and atmosphere. We were seated in a third floor room, possibly the old bank manager office. It was very nice, but not good for anyone who can't climb stairs. Drinks and food were very good.

I went here for a simple quaint birthday celebration. It was a rainy day, but we had reservations, so we got it fine. However, they made us sit by the door. It was upsetting because with a reservation done way in advance, I was expecting a bit of a better seat in the room. Anyhow I found their service very mediocre. The server was not very interested in taking our orders. My wine was stale and the food was okay. Overall, not a great experience and I will skip it on my next visit.
