Very disappointing. I’ve spoken with management for months about how the steam room isn’t working properly, nor heat in the sauna. I was blown off multiple times, saying they’d look into it. Instead of being proactive, now they are reactive and the steam room is broken down indefinitely. The locker room is filthy. Showers are disgusting. Parking is a joke. Worst gym I’ve ever been to world wide.

This is a good gym for most people. Certainly not a powerlifters gym or an anti gym like planet fitness. The staff are very friendly, they actually are helpful and have personalities unlike the local PF that they don't even look up from their phone when you come in. I do want to provide some constructive criticism though.1st. Fix the fly machine by removing the bolt that makes it nearly useless in going for full ROM.2nd. Have more extra equipment like parallel bars, rings, weight vests, fat grips, standing calf raises machine, hip thrust machine, another adjustable bench, possibly another cable tower, a dip machine.3. The towels don't absorb water well. I try to dry off and I'm still wet. I would pay to be a premium member (right now I'm the middle one) if they offered towels that absorbed water for the premium members. I understand they take longer to dry and that's why you offer it to premium.4. The area upstairs in the middle is pretty useless as it's a bunch of machines that are designed for circuit training but all of the exercises can be accomplished in a way where you can actually track your progress on the other equipment and I would just add more real equipment up there. Potentially some of the wall mounted smart units that track your progress for you with an id number or a powerlifting/calisthenics area.5. Given the popularity a cold soak tub outside would be awesome. 33-40 degrees.6. A coed sauna outside would be nice to engage an interact with other people.7. Having plants inside would be very nice and is healthy for body and mind.I understand this is a long list and some may not be feasible or within budget but just thought I would float it anyway. Thanks for reading.

If I could leave 0 stars I would... THEY WOULD NOT EXCEPT MY CASH!. I cannot support a business who is helping usher in communism and the social credit score system.... Everyone should protest this business like we did Target... WHOMEVER executive figure in the company that decided to move forward with that decision you are A disgraceful POS..Who the hell is still wearing a mask in fall of 2023. Clear mental issues.. TAKE your 7th booster and give your kids hormone blockers all you want.... but you do not decide where I do and dont spend MY LEGAL TENDER...

I have debated joining a less expensive club. At my age I only use the circuit training, the swimming, pool, and the massage chair. But the manager Roosevelt is such a pleasure to work with and the new massage chairs are fantastic. I’m getting used to the new system And I enjoy every minute that I am in the gym! Keep up the great work and we will keep signing up every family member that moves this direction.

I’m thinking of canceling because their Wi-Fi is so bad I love to sit in the hot tub after a swim and listen to audible on my waterproof mini tablet but cannot hook to Wi-Fi ever, I called one evening, and they told me that their technicians was working on it earlier that day and it might be slow to get back to the hot tub area???

Rosevelt is a good dude- a manager that's humble enough to break out the vacuum and get things done. Lead by example, I respect that!

I signed up for this club March of 2023 after not being a member of a gym for 4 years. I used to attend this In-Shape regularly and was excited to get my fitness journey back on track at my local gym. I was VERY disappointed when I showed up for the first time in years to see the gym looked completely different. Men’s locker room was not kept, the machines had seen better days, and the towel machine was broken. I then find out from a coworker that this is commonplace and happens regularly. It made more sense to me to either pay FAR less for similar facilities, or pay a little more to avoid this mishap. I regrettably canceled my membership after that visit. I’m likely biased, but the gym was entirely better when I used to attend. Leaving 3 stars because this gym still offers amenities that others don’t, but if the spa/sauna/pool look anything like the rest of the gym, I wouldn’t touch those facilities. More expensive, less pride in ownership nowadays

By far the best gym I've ever been to and the first one have gone to that actually feels welcoming. The kid zone is perfect for my three and six year old and they even beg me to take them to the gym. I was nervous to do any of the classes but took Bodypump with Lindy. She was amazing. She helped me the whole time and encouraged me afterwards. That made me get into classes and now I'm doing 5-8 classes a week. I have the encouragement from the staff, trainers and other members in the classes that I desperately needed. It's a great environment for those with gym anxiety, like me. Highly recommend you to try it out, they really do have something for everyone from cardio to yoga and heated pools to saunas, multiple classes including bodypump, yoga flow, barre, aqua fit, VTL:Box, and so much more.

If I could I would give them -100 ! They opened their location just before COVID heat . It was the time I moved from SF to Napa for family reasons . I have been a member of the Bay Club for 20 years , the Novato Club ( talk beautiful) for another 4 and never ever have I experienced the unprofessional behavior and pure fraudulent activity that takes place in the in shape club . I have spine surgery , degenerative illness in my d aspire RA etc and it is life or handicapped situation for me with out a pool , that is all I use . My landlord has a pool which stays closed with millions of excuses so I pay outside clubs to get my no gravity life savior exercise so I am forsed to became member of the mediocre "club" that in shape is . They don't even offer towels and dare to call themselves a club . The dirt that the Lounge beds carry is borderline health department violation. Here is the best part . In a whole year because of their "/ yes no ..., yah we are open / no we are not we are open games past and unrelated at this point COVID restrictions I have come to it today for the second time in more then a year. Used friends pool to-survive . Paid monthly fee on regular bases. Last time beginning of the month I came in and asked since it is been so difficult to get anyone's attention on my massed up account , because at the time they opened they had tones of ladies eager to sign you up setting me with multiple emails etc., to considered , as I didn't even know I was still a club member, to credit my last two month dues because every tine j tried to figure out my account on line my card wasn't accepted . I asked the FD agent if they could credit at list one free month and the answer ,today I learned , is my membership is been cancelled . I did not ask for that ever obviously . Today I had planned my day to be at the "club" to relax and participate at an acqua fitness class which I was allowed to book online . Ironic ! What Is wrong with you people !?! I am going rogue to every tv station , consumer reports agencies and let friends , influential once in Napa, to cancel their membership and boycott this terrible Enterprice !!!!!! The GM is never on sight ! Last time FD operator told me the only way was to contact admin via email . Today's version of their customer service is , paraphrasing , "GM is not on sight at this time .... "

It is absurd that I am charged $20 to attend this gym when I am a member of another in shape that is just as nice AND when I used to pay the same amount I do now to be a Napa member. In shape has no respect for long term customers.

Love the freedom of the place. Good public space for those are ready to get in shape without fear of mask-bullies.

Just moved here from out of town. Tried to workout at the gym for a day and try it out before deciding to committing to a membership. Gyms typically have a 1-3 day period where you can sign a form and get a couple of days in the gym to feel it out. They pulled the Covid card on me and said they don't allow people to do try the gym out anymore. Hilarious... This is huge for me since I've always picked a few gyms in the area to workout at for a day or two before deciding which one was the best for me to go for. I hope they can fix this policy and allow new comers to be able to feel the gym out before committing to a contract. Ended up getting a nice month to month membership at a different gym that allowed me to get a full workout in before moving forward.
