From what the locals say and by their own admission, these are supposed to be the best Tacos in town. I've had past experience with locals being bias towards their own food in town, but this is ridiculous. These are a set of 3 Tacos for $18 and I think that might be the most I have EVER paid for just straight up Tacos. There is nothing to write home about here. There is Carne asada meat, cilantro, a hint of white cheese and a small amount of grilled onions and pepper on the side which is nice. It comes with a lime wedge and salsa and wow do you need it. This Carne Asada is more than noticeably dry. Just thinking about it now makes me want to cough. It also had an unacceptable amount of fat for Tacos. For the amount of food you get for $18.67 we aren't talking about a lot here. 3 very small Tacos with 3 bites each equals out to a little more than $2 a bite, more than authentic sushi. For that amount of money I wish I had just gone with a burrito with a bunch of sour cream in it to offset the dryness of the meat. Sorry but this is a miss for me.

This place used to be good. The food is terrible now, and the customer service is awful. Waste of my money. There are a lot of better places in Napa.

I used to enjoy coming to this restaurant as it was a bit more affordable than other places. Now the price compares to a sit down restaurant. The food had good flavor and the service was great. I recently came back after a few months and this place is terrible now. The rice tastes disgusting. For some reason there is an odd sour like taste to the rice. The prices that are shown on the digital menu are different than what you are charged. The price for a torta cubana is set at $16.99. When I checked my receipt, I saw that I was charged $16.99 for a "Torta Cubana" plus an additional $3.00 fee. The fee added says "cubana." If a regular torta is $11.99, why was I being charged an additional $3.00 when I already paid $16.99 for the torta cubana.

What a negative service experience. We ordered masa for tamales early in the morning and they said it would be ready at 9am. We drove to Napa and they said it wouldn't be ready until noon. We told them we were unable to wait but we would be back for it. I called before heading over and they said they could have it ready tomorrow even though we spoke with the manager and she assured us it would be ready. They were unapologetic and rude and did not take responsibility for it.

****This review is only for the taqueria. ***** I ordered gorditas de chicharrón and asada. The asada was more like ground beef and the chicharrón was huge. It was not even cut up at all and they added parmesan cheese, not cotija or queso fresco but parmesan, on a mexican dish. I was very disappointed. I thought it was going to be authentic mexican food.

My fav place to get door dash in Napa. Quick and so yummy! Just the right amount of spice. I get the shrimp quesadilla. It's my fav there. And their chips are homemade and so yummy!

Ordered a shrimp burrito. Had barely anything in it but red spicy sauce that overwhelmed everything. Worst burrito I've had. So soppy and gross. Shrimp was very over cooked. I also ordered a quesadilla. It was pretty soggy upon arrival as it was laid on top of the side of refried beans, so that was gross. The refried beans tasted light straight lard, and were so pale it looked like they were made from white beans. The side of lettuce was watery, maybe they keep their lettuce in water to keep fresh but didn't think to shake the water off or something I don't know but it was set next to guacamole so that ended up being watery and nasty. No side of sour cream which was supposed to be included. The rice was bland. Overall incredibly disappointing and could have gotten better food at any other Mexican food place in Napa.

I am a regular here and love La Morenita Market! It is a little bit like going to an open air market in Mexico! You can find a wonderful meat market, cheese section, produce section and condiments and household items. Everyone is very nice and professional. Very Covid safe since day one with plastic shields at each station, masks and markers on the floor for social distancing. If you like fresh tortillas, this place has them! Also fresh tamales! So delicious! I bought T-bone steak and fresh housemade salsa and made delicious fajita!

Taco's de la plancha con Carne Asada. 3 large meaty tacos with wonderfully seasoned carne asada and white cheese fried together with the tortilla (corn) on the grill. Imagine spiced beef and cheese fried to perfection, then dressed with chopped onions, and cilantro. La Morenita taqueria is within what i call the "Morenita compound". It is on Jefferson St. directly opposite Napa High. There is a grocery store, a discount store, an electronics store, and the taqueria. All names Morenita. I went in the discount store, and the market, before I found the taqueria towards the back. You can find them on door dash, as I did originally, or visit in person which I prefer. (FYI those of the employees I have interacted with spoke very limited English, be prepared to order in Spanish to avoid mis-ordering!) Pictures will follow.

DO NOT COME HERE TO BUY YOUR MEAT OR BABY FOOD!!! Last week I bought some gerber baby food and they were already expired. I bought chicken legs from here and the legs smelled awful and they were slimy and just plain disgusting.

This review is based solely on the taqueria portion of the market, but hot dang, are these tacos good! And affordable! I was looking for a quick bite to eat within walking distance of my place and the closest option was Starbucks. Unfortunately, they were close to closed for the day and the pickings were slim, so I continued onwards. I walked by La Morenita market, just a few more steps away, and noticed the sign for their taqueria. Tacos within walking distance? I was intrigued. The taqueria portion is relatively small, but all seats were filled, which was a good sign. Tacos are cheaper than most places (outside of Taco Tuesdays), at $1.69 a pop. I grabbed five chicken tacos and waited just about five minutes for them to finish. Let's get down to the food: great portions, juicy chicken, jalapeños, radish, grilled onion, and lime on the side, and what was best: an avocado slice on each taco. I want expecting avocado, but you can best believe I was excited for it! I scarfed it down quick. Even gave myself the hiccups. The sign of a truly good meal.

Horrible! I came in today, ordered "tacos a la plancha" and it look like I ordered a tortilla soup! These are not authentic whatsoever, the cooks are not clean at all as they grab your money with the gloves on and continue cooking. Never coming back that's for sure!
