Says it has a drive thru but doesn't. Wasted my time. Should look into changing how you're labeled online.

Ive tried giving this place chances. Every time i come here i NEVER get acknowledged. No hello. Nothing. No one willing to help. You're completely on your own. And if you interact the EMPLOYEES are downright RUDE. And bothered you interupted them. Male cashier with glasses today on one of 2 registers open was a total mess and not pleasant. I grabbed what i needed and the environment was downright unpleasant. I couldnt wait to leave. Some lady and her daughter "forgot" toilet paper which looked like for a doordash red card order and had a bagger girl go grab it. We were all stuck waiting there awkward silence no apologies or well be right with you nothing. The cashier got on his earpiece radio and waw talking to someone. I gave up and went to the self checkout. The older gal employee working the area was a real hot mess. All the self checkout stations were flithy. Almost out of bags. While she was shooting the breeze with another safeway employee and the starbucks person. Being really loud and annoying about her personal business on tiktok. And how her coworker doesnt have one HE SHOULD watch HERRR TIK TOK. Then she coughed sneezed hard twice into her armpit no mask on. GROSSSSSS. I hope management watches the cameras. Was exactly 3/11/22 at 18:52 hours 2449 54 232 8854 - 3375 jefferson square napa, ca $55.57 self checkout. Used a $25 safeway giftcard i won at work and visa. Attached 2 pics of receipt. Another thing someone is either using my fuel rewards at pump guessing my phone number or im not getting rewards. Employees last visit didnt really care. There was one nice female deli employee at the st helena safeway, also a few at sonoma CA safeway on 5th that cared but napa, ca on jefferson is HORRIBLE. I hope management reads this and takes a look at the people representing their store ITS TERRIBLE.

This is one of the best bakeries that I have seen at a Safeway. Maybe because of where the location is is why it's so delicious looking. And you can save more money by getting your stuff here compared to the other stores around the corner. What colors are very vivid and the selection is great as well. I would like so like the store because of the adult delicious beverage options as well. Wait in line was not a problem and check out was very easy.

I came here pretty late at night there were many workers stocking who saw me and no one came to the register. Sat there for 5 minutes waiting then left. This one employee was playing with his phone couple isles down saw me and just ignored me. Safeway needs to change the hours of their store if all their employees ignore customers after a certain time.

I wish I could rate the Trancas Napa store with a big ZERO because that is the service I received on Thursday July 1. I have always shopped Safeway when in that location doing other errands. I totally believe in supporting all the businesses as I possibly can. I have noticed over the last few times I shopped there, the clerks do not help much; do not want to go the extra mile even when they have time and tend to get argumentative. I went to Safeway yesterday to get some chicken wings in the hot food section help yourself where they now have the opened containers of hot foods next to the deli. I retrieved a container and took some chicken wings. I reached for a lid, and noticed it was too small for the container I had. I went to the deli counter expecting to have the clerk provide me with a lid that fit. She told me to go back to the food bar and that there were lids to fit. I told her there were not and that was why I came to the counter. I told her I checked around and there was nothing. I further told her this was the third time in two weeks I had gone to select chicken wings and other items at the open hot food bar, and there were a lack of containers; lids and/or what was there was the wrong size. I also told her that of the times that I was selecting the hot foods, the trays were messy, there were plastic protectors in the trays and it had appeared that no one had serviced the area for some time. She argued with me that there were in fact the appropriate lids and containers if I would return and look better. I was frustrated at this point with her attitude and said firmly, "NO there is NOT. I would NOT be here asking and wasting my time of day if there were." She was totally unprofessional. She could have simply said, "okay, I will get that for you - thank you for letting me know and I will go over to check the supplies and food." There were quite a few people in line and due to my irritation with her, I loudly said, "I will take my business elsewhere and I am calling the manager." Now I am totally understanding that this has been a tough year for essential workers. It has been rough for everyone - HOWEVER, this is not acceptable or an excuse to not provide good customer service, and not maintain a store clean and attractive in the various sections to appeal the customer to shop. I shopped Safeway for years; both the Trancas Street and when the Clay Street location was opened before closing due to the 2014 earthquake. Not sure where these clerks are coming from. There use to be the best and most courteous clerks who were long term employees. They knew the regulars like me. They treated ALL customers with kindness and always willing to help. I am not a person to complain, but I find the behavior I met yesterday was demonstrative of lazy and someone who did not know how to do her job. I would like to advise the manager that this happened around 1:30 pm on July 1, 2021. I would recommend managers of departments train the employees of proper customer service and to NOT argue with the customer when they need something. If something is not available, professionally advise and ask if you can help with finding something else. Clerks should also be trained to be familiar with the sections they are working. I am sorry. I will not be returning to Safeway for quite some time if ever. Come on managers. Get your store back in shape!!!!

The continued ease and safety of curbside pickup is amazing. I placed my order around 2:00pm and had a scheduled 6:00pm pickup. Once again - your amazing team had my order ready within an hour and messaged me early. Thank you for your excellent work in this continued crazy time.

A pretty decent grocery store in Napa. In a relatively ok shopping center but it was sad when we went on a Saturday evening to grab some snacks, fruits, desserts, and quick deli dinners after a fun day by the ocean that there was a homeless guy right outside at the next establishment. Even Napa (especially Napa?). Anyways, the store itself is typical like any other Safeway. Pretty well laid out, but some things not as logically placed as in the canned tomatoes are with the dry pasta and not anywhere close to the rest of canned veggies. And the aisles are very long so you could be looking for things in what you think are logical locations and not find them for quite a while until you checked out the whole aisle if you happen to start on the opposite end. So don't give up and keep going if you have a hunch that something is in an aisle and it's not already listed on the signs overhead. Anyhow, grocery shopping is already generally super stressful and tense during COVID b/c everyone thinks everyone else is potentially a virus carrier and therefore look at each other with distrust or don't make eye contact at all over their masks. It's not like we can see people smile, after all, to see if they're expressing good will and feel mutually non-threatened. So I just do my grocery shopping as quickly as possible and then go through self check-out. Thankfully, all the staff were friendly and helpful when I did have to ask a question at the seafood counter. And all the shoppers were courteous if suspicious of each other, haha... Finally, the store is pretty well-kept and quite clean although this store does NOT provide sanitized carts, it's a DIY operation where they have wipes and you clean your own cart/basket before you start. I'm hygienic but not overly afraid of a virus that's really only deadly to the same degree as the flu to the populations of people that are vulnerable and elderly which are unfortunately also the populations that really have to self-quarantine or take extra precaution EVERY cold/flu season, so then there's that. I don't recall cleaning my basket nor the cart we found as we got more than we expected. Keep a good diet, boost up your immunity, wash your hands, get good sleep, minimize indoor times (to include grocery stores) and maximize outdoor activities and we're good. Stay healthy, everyone, and eat more fruits and veggies!

Shopping in a grocery store is not necessarily anything to get excited about. Shopping in a grocery store while out of town for a few needed items, and it gave me pause to think about how stores truly vary from place to place. One would think that a grocery store Napa would if nothing more at least be a pleasant experience. This particular Safeway location was less than pleasant. I understand windows etc. being boarded up because of the pandemic and potential looting. I know that makes it difficult for the employees as well. The store was a horrible mess. Not because it had been looted, because it had not. The store was just dirty, unkept, and staff was pretty much lingering around talking to one another. No one was bothering to gather shopping carts that were all over, or anything else. The produce section looked like it hadn't been replenished for a while and what was there, did not appear to be fresh by any means. I suppose if you're in the area and you need to stop by for some dry goods or something, you might luck out. There definitely are plenty of other grocery stores in around the valley that are much better choices than this location.

Have been shopping here forever and just can't anymore. Since covid started I've been using their delivery service. It allows you to pick a delivery window; yet when it goes hours past the scheduled time, you have to chase them down for answers. Half of my food wasn't in the order yet still showed on my receipt. Time to move on...

The 3 checkout lanes are backed up. Really only 3 cashiers?! The 3 that are there are going as slow as possible! I go to the self checkout. Short wait. Scan items. There are NOT any signs that say that customers cannot purchase wine/alcohol at checkout, period. HOWEVER, 'employee' in charge of overseeing checkout, stated no wine purchase allowed even with identification. 'WHERE ARE the signs?' Employee stated there were signs, but not now. Yeah, I know. Maybe tell management? Idiot young female just gives the stupid look. Now, the lines are longer at the cashier lanes. I'm not waiting anymore! Fine, I'll leave my basket right in front and leave. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE?! Safeway, there are other stores. Good riddance!
