All the wines were so good. Our server, Monica was so good. I'm new to Napa wines and she explained everything to me. It is as a wonderful experience.

This place is now in my list of top 5 wineries in Napa. Recently went with friends at the recommendation of a local distributor. Snacks were typical cheese, nuts, and crackers to keep your palate neutral during tastings. The atmosphere was so cool though. One of the oldest operations in Napa, and the wines are fantastic. They also sell Profile as their higher tier wine, but we loved the Merryvale wines for their excellent quality for the price.

On our trip to Napa Valley, Merryvale was the second of three wineries we had scheduled to see, and the only one we went back for a second day, AND joined their membership club. Honestly the wine is that good, but not only that, the service was impeccable! The first day we had Ian as our guide which was amazing, he walked us through the event room and gave us a tour of the wine barrels. He explained the wines wonderfully leaving us to enjoy them at our own pace. On the second day we had Christian, who was equally amazing providing a walk in tasting at the bar. Again Christian provided wonderful insight to the wines but allowed us time to enjoy them at our own pace. We finished the second tasting with a bottle to enjoy at the bar. Christian provided some great tips for future visits as well as a great place to grab lunch. The Aztecs Market was a great recommendation for. 10/10 we are already planning our next trip out to Napa to go back to Merryvale!

My family's experience at Merryvale was one of the best we could've ever asked for. Our server, Monique, was more than excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and accommodating. She happily answered all of our questions and provided us with all of the wine and accompaniments we asked for. The wine was exquisite of course and the small cheese plate was appreciated. I definitely recommend going on a week day as the staff are even more attentive since the place is less busy. Ambiance is very nice and allows you to get dressed up if you want to and relax in a lounge atmosphere while enjoying incredible wine. Highly recommend Merryvale as well as Monique!

On a busy Saturday we were able to walk in about 3pm and get a reserve tasting without reservations! Hats off to the staff that came through for us as in Napa now reservations are required for place you really want to taste. I've drank this wine many times before and love their Pino's and Cabs!

TERRIBLE and awkward experience. Given there are many lovely wineries in Napa, I would not recommend this one. - Wine was decent but almost impossible to enjoy while fighting the swarm of fruit flies. This was disgusting and our hostess brushed it off as absolutely normal... - We were a bit ignored at our table and our hostess (Monique) was very unfamiliar with their wines. She brought out the wrong wine twice for the tasting and didn't provide any explanation beyond what was in the wine description, even though we asked. - We had two signature tastings booked and paid for by our resort. We asked if we could do a signature and a reserve tasting and pay the difference of $20 and the they agreed. At the end, we noticed that we were being charged for an additional reserve tasting. Our hostess became very uncomfortable when we brought this up and it was very difficult to have her change the invoice to what we actually owed. Eventually, she said that she'll change the invoice as she "did not want any trouble with us". I am not sure what she meant by that offending comment but we certainly did not expect to be price shamed or feel terrible for paying for what we owed...

Highly recommend visiting Merryvale. Patti was fantastic. She is very knowledgeable, very friendly, and made mine and my wife's afternoon. Ask for her. Absolutely some of the best wine we've had in Napa.

Great wine, great staff, great winery. First time today and definitely will be back. Tasty Cabernet Sauvignon as their mother lode. Ian the man who dropped the knowledge. Fun time had by all!

We had Patti for a tasting and it was our favorite experience while in Napa. We signed up for a membership during our visit and are coming back for another trip in March, will definitely request Patti again. She was so knowledgeable, sweet, gave us a little tour and made all feel special. I highly recommend adding this to your itinerary!

The scenery is very good, but we came with a group (paid) and they couldn't be bothered to talk to us about the vineyard/wine. I guess there was a bigger group, but I thought it was very rude!

We had been to two wine tastings at other wineries in Calistoga. We decided to swing around to St. Helena where Merryvale's wine tasting room is located since we decided to take in another experience. While we didn't have any reservations, we could have a couple of glasses of wine at the main bar, which was very nice, as was the bartender who served us. We enjoyed the red and white we ordered, while taking up a couple of stools at the bar. The wine tasting room was spacious and rustic but polished due to the light woods used for the bar counter and gift shop area. There was a stoned cellar room for more private tastings. Overall, it was a good spot to enjoy some local wine by a winery out of Napa Valley, and very convenient if you are spending the day in downtown St. Helena.

What a fantastic and fun experience. Our reserve tasting was awesome! The winery is beautiful and classy our host was funny and a wealth of knowledge. We went into a walk in wine room that had some of their oldest vintages. I think I saw one from 1998! We will be back to try more cabs!

My friend and I came to Merryvale based on many good reviews, for a tasting and sat on the stunning outside patio. we even had front row seats to the wine train driving by. The wines and views were top notch. But, it was our wine educator, Patti, that made the visit so much more than your average tasting. She was so welcoming, engaging and very knowledgeable on the wine selections and the area and interesting facts on the history of the winery. We loved the silhouette Chardonnay and the Cabernet selections and joined the club. Do remember to ask for Patti.
