When you call it goes to a call center. Before they transfer call center wants to handle the issue. The issue is that someone at the store is messing with the account and no one wants to say who.

I needed a UHaul Box to move to Texas, they only had one size, which is entirely too small. After stuffing it the best I could, I discovered I couldn't get the lock in the attachment. So I went out and bought a new lock, which still wouldn't work. I had to park my car nosing to the box to keep my possessions safe overnight. In the morning I called and was on hold for over an hour, transferred to 4 different people, hung up on, before I gave up and drove to the nearby office, only to be told it was from a different office and to go home to wait for someone to come to my home to fix it. It's been over 20 minutes now and I still haven't heard from them with when they are coming. DON'T USE THEM!!!!!

I had a U-Box shipped to this location, I just had no way to get a hold of the store and ask them how and when to pick up my items. I had to drive there to get a hold of somebody who told me I had to call them and give them 24 hours notice.The staff were all really friendly and that my items arrived on time, but there was no way to get a hold of anybody at this store. I could not call this store and get a hold of an anybody directly! The staff even kinda chuckled and said sorry when they knew there's no way to get a hold of the store. It's not the employees fault, it's Uhaul's fault.

I rented a 26 foot truck moving from San Diego to Twin Lake MI. When I went to pick up the truck the dolly I had rented [National City, CA store] was not inside. I informed the manger and he made a huge scene that nearly resulted in a physical altercation with a thug in the cashier line. In route the dash lights malfunctioned creating a hazardous situation. Also, I had doubled the trip insurance and was assured the boat I was towing was covered. It needed to be towed in Oklahoma and It was in fact not covered. When I dropped the truck off in Muskegon MI, I asked what the balance was. ''You don't owe anything'' was the answer, so I assumed the over time charges had been waived, as a manger had promised to make an adjustment. Three months later I received a bill from a collection agency [they claimed they had sent ''time stamped E-Mails'' for the bill. They did not. I've contacted customer service and they were zero help. I suggested I would take them to court. They thought that was a good idea. After spending well over $5,000 dollars on their truck rental, I feel slighted and abused. Buyer beware, this company is full of liars and cheats. There are several more complaints i have, like broken tie down boards, filthy truck at the pick up site, etc., but I assume you get the idea, Never again.... I'd give a negative 5 star rating if I could.

This was the worst experience. My reservation was cancelled the night before without notice. I had to call and get another reservation, that reservation was approved and they sent me the location. When I get there at the time I was given the store was still closed. I wait 20 min and finally call the customer service rep and they tell me they can't get in contact with the owner, so they send me to another location. When I get to the other location the battery on the truck is dead and have to wait for the mechanic to charge the battery.... my reservation that once was at 8 am, it is now 10:45am and I'm still waiting. The owner tells me to wait 5 min for the battery to charge. Once I get in the I see the stabilitrak light is on, he tells me don't worry about it (I don't think sensors come on for no reason). On my way to turn the truck in, the battery dies and i have to jump it with my own vehicle. I used the truck for less then 3, filled it back up to where it started and they have the audacity to charge me an additional $60 for fuel and filling it back up when I left the fuel tank the way I received it. I have pictures to prove it, these guys are scammers and only want your money even tho the equipment being rented isn't up to par. It kills me to even give this a 1 star review, wish they could be given negative ratings.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Reserved a truck 2 months prior to our move and paid in full for the truck that we would need. Less than 10 HOURS before our move they called to let us know that there are no trucks available within 200 miles of our location. Not only did they leave us high and dry, they waited until the very last minute to provide the worst, most upsetting customer service. The representatives we spoke to were quite rude and did not seem concerned that we had no truck with no place to stay when we needed to move across the state. As soon as we called Penske they had incredible customer service with full transparency. They were kind, caring and gave us all the honest details about how we could go about reserving a truck within the next 24 hours. While Penske is more expensive, the customer service and holding their word is much more important than the few hundred dollars we lost from UHaul.

Waste of time, we reserved a truck in the downtown area, then received a notice that they didn't actually have it, they asked us to drive 30min to another location and that they had exactly what we needed there. Upon on time arrival we waited 1.5 hours and they couldn't come up with anything we needed or reserved. What a waste of valuable time, not just mine but the crew that was waiting. Such BS. We ended up going to Budget and had to pay extra .

Ronnie was a great help with my rental and very patient in making sure I was taken care of. He even handled the customers and remained attentive to the store in a stressful environment. Ask for Ronnie if you need help here.

Terrible customer service. No one ever answers the phone.
