“Landed my antique single engine bushplane at the Needles airport for fuel and when I went to start up again, I discovered that I had a dead battery most likely from a faulty voltage regulator. Pretty well stranded miles from anything, I decided to take my Onewheel down the highway white knuckling it with semi’s overtaking me on a narrow shoulder. Rosie and the gang immediately got me out of the woods with a jumper pack. Then Rosie took her lunch break to give me a ride back to the airport. She held my plane back through the prop wash while I jump started it and cut my tie downs loose for me while I held the brakes. I was able to take off and buzz her on her way back to the store. This was not only an act of friendly and outstanding customer service, but also a tremendous demonstration of empathy for a stranded traveler in need of a little help. I’ll remember that little adventure for as long as I live, and I’ll damn sure recommend that everyone passing through Needles CA patronize Autozone store 3699.”
