Taking the Yoga Nidra training was a very powerful experience. Dr. Halpern & Dr. Deerheart created a safe and loving space to allow healing to take place on so many levels. I am honored to have been part of the Yoga Nidra training and am excited to share it with others.

I am gaining so much deep knowledge about the ancient healing system of Ayurveda at the California College of Ayurveda. The educators and staff are so knowledgeable and helpful in guiding me on my journey through Ayurveda. It’s a true gift to have this college accessible for anyone interested in exploring holistic self care!

The CCA has been overall a wonderful experience! I have been a student at the College since 2019 and have completed the Ayurvedic Health Counselor, and Ayurvedic Clinical Specialist programs, as well as several of the body therapy workshops. The colleges varied platform education system is a wonderful hybrid of convenience and efficiency. I was able to take classes in the comfort of my own home, as well as, be able to go to the school to attend workshops and intensives. The AHC and CAS programs are set up in a way where you are able to build a business in your own community, which makes the transition from student to working practitioner seamless. The faculty: First of all, being able to have classes and open communication with the founder of the school, Dr. Mark Halpern, is a treasure. He is a wealth of knowledge, and an inspiration. His genuine love, for Ayurveda, the students, and for the school wraps the campus and every program he has created in a blanket of pure golden light! Secondly, every single staff member at the College, are highly knowledgeable, helpful and passionate people who genuinely care about what they do. And this creates a welcoming learning environment where you can thrive and feel supported. And, the teachers and supervisors are some of the most amazing humans I have had the honor to work with. They LOVE what they do and you can feel this absolute when they share their own vast oceans of knowledge in the classroom and 1-on-1. Everyone finds Ayurveda for different reasons. Everyone has a story before they decide to take the leap and go through a program like this. And if you're on the fence, I'm not going to sugarcoat it. It is a life-changing Journey. The classes are rigorous and challenging on every level because your not just memorizing information. You are doing the work yourself. (At least I did) and It is both a physical and a mental challenge to create new habits. But for me this is what I was looking for. There is a certain amount of integrity one must have to become a Ayurvedic practitioner because part of it is doing the work and showing up for yourself. But, do not let the hard work scare you because this is the best work you'll ever do for yourself! You will learn about your self fundamentally studying the body, the mind, and spirit. You will study Sanskrit and open up new channels of thought as the world brightens and perspectives shift. And if you do the work your vibration will rise as you connect to Ayurveda's ancient wisdom. Ayurveda is not just a practice, it's a way of living. Ayurveda has a heart and soul with deep roots that touch the cosmos. And when you attend the California college of Ayurveda, you're not just going to school, your coming home to your soul tribe. Writing this review brings tears of gratitude to my eyes. I am now a better person to myself and to my community. And, I am now able to help others, give back to my community, and, make a living helping the world come back to its roots. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Namaste Ashley Meadows, CAS Happyhealthylifeayurveda.com

If you are considering going to there Ayurvedic facials course, and you are a licensed esthetician, SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. Not one person in the room is qualified to give a facial. They are incredibly unsanitary and in violation of the California State Board of Cosmetology. You'll be instructed to re-use single use items such as sponges on your partners face. When I let my teacher know this was an unsanitary practice she told me I could wash them with soap and water. Any esthetician knows you can not sanitize a sponge with soap and water. It is a porous item. My "teacher" was also washing her hands through the facial in the clients bowl of water. They do not have a kitchen to wash facial bowls and sponges. They expect us to wash those in the bathroom. Might I add that bathroom was filthy. You will not learn anything of substance about the skin or skincare like they advertise. They are barely even familiar with the skin and again basic sanitary practices. So if you are an actually esthetician do not waste your time. I wish a review like this was up when I was looking into it so hopefully I can save one of my fellow estheticians some time and money. I voiced my concerns to them and while they agreed with me that my concerns were 100% valid, they aren't doing anything for me or refunding any of my money, which is just disgusting. If you're in the business of providing a service, and you have a customer who graciously and respectfully expressed their disappointment, you're going to want to make that customer happy. All they care about is money which is very contradictory to their "morals and philosophies"

After finishing the PAM Distance Learning program, i can share about my experiences so far that the course material is interesting and overall good structured to follow. It can help us and others for the rest of life here on earth. The Distance learning program provides good flexibility and and can be very beneficial for some people, especially when somebody has a good personal organization and motivation. In my opinion, the time provided to talk to the master Teacher is not enough for the amount of money that one has to pay. Often you have a 15-30 minutes talk once a week with your teacher. There is nothing much you can deeply talk about during this time. Also, feedback/questions were more than once not answered back by the Academic department. The final exam could be taken online without any proctoring, which is unprofessional. The advertisment/marketing that i receive trough Student support as a current student is very pushy with what i call "psychological mind playing" which really left me out of words.Overall, i sadly feel it is a lot about making money, more than to really help and to support. This overshadows in certain ways the Divinity, which lies at the root of Ayurveda. My feedback may change according to possible future experiences.

I recently completed the marma therapy training program. I came all the way from nyc and it was totally worth it! Dr marc Halpern is a talented teacher and is so knowledgeable. I am both a massage therapist and Practitioner in Chinese medicine. I am looking forward in applying what I learned to my existing practice. I recommend this program.

I have taken several different certifications as well as the Ayurvedic Health counselor program. Some of the certifications include: Ayurvedic Bliss therapy, Ayurvedic facials, Marma therapy and I completed the AHC program. Throughout the programs I felt supported by the staff and my instructors. My teachers were very knowledgeable, and helped me every step of the way. I have really enjoyed my Ayurvedic journey.

CCA's programming is authentic, is offered with integrity by incredibly qualified instructors, and provides practical instruction that can be applied immediately. Over the last 2 years I have taken their Principals of Ayurvedic Medicine (PAM), Bliss Therapies, Facial Rejuvenation, and Ayurvedic Yoga Practitioner programs, and this is just the beginning of my study with them. I highly recommend the courses of study that I have completed. CCA offers a wide array of classes for all students, from their entry level courses, body therapy workshops, to their Ayurvedic Doctor program. My study at CCA has changed my life, my health and my connection to my Spirit. I am a student of their distance learning program and have attended workshops and programs on campus as well. They have provided me with invaluable information and the connections I have made with students and faculty have gifted me with my own Ayurvedic family. If you take a distance learning program I really recommend going to the school for on-site learning as well so that you can make an in-person connection ~ there is something magical about Nevada City and the healing it offers. If you're not looking to commit to a program, make an appointment for one of their amazing body therapies to bring balance to body, mind + consciousness. I've had both the Bliss and Abhyangha with Ashi and they were two of the best Ayurvedic treatments I've ever had! I am also working with one of the school's Ayurvedic Health Counselor Interns and our sessions have made an incredible impact on my daily practices and overall health. The study of Ayurveda is a lifelong journey. If you're ready to make a commitment to bring balance to your body, mind + Spirit, CCA provides you with the Path, the rest is up to you.

Finally Healthcare that cares for health. The wholistic approach of Ayurveda and Dr. Brenda's gentle guidance have given me more relief than 16 years of doctors watching me get sicker and telling me there isn't anything wrong. I'm so grateful to have found this place and Brenda. They've saved my life.

Went there a few years ago when I was very ill and deteriorating rather quickly. I am an elder, and extremely poor. I asked if there was any way anybody could help me, even a student, and they said sorry, no. This is not what real healers do. You do not turn away people who are sick, due to their lack of funds. Grifters.
