found a small quilt with a different tag for $4.99, asked them about their price, took them a day after, waited for awhile in the shop, they don't seem to care about the time we spent waiting, so I approached another person, and now they gave me a price for ridiculously 5x the price I saw. I don't think it was a reasonable price tag considering it was just a small quilt. it's ok, not happy about customer service either.

I was visiting Nevada City from Australia. I went in to the shop with my partner and I found a jacket that was on the mannequin in the window that I liked. I ask one of the shop assistants if I could try it on. She said yes sure!! She removed it, I tried it on and wanted to purchase it. That’s when the fun began, another attendant spoke to the person serving me and said you’re not aloud to sell the window items until the owner says it’s okay….never in my life have I been in a store when the won’t sell you something that has a tag with a price on it. That made me wait while they tried to get hold of the owner with no luck. They eventually took my name and number and told be they would call me at 4.30. I walked out pretty annoyed and went off to look in other shops, 30 mins later it was back on the mannequin in the window and I never got a phone call. Really poor service and attitude if I could have given less than 1 star I would have!

I love shopping at Solstice whenever I am visiting Nevada City. I have purchased boots, tops, and a few home decor pieces. All were of quality and a great value. The boots were leather and made in Italy and only $30. One of the framed pictures was a great deal too and went so well in my bedroom. It's a real treasure hunt, and such a pleasure when you find something you love. the staff was friendly and the store is neat and tidy. I am planning on visiting there again next time I am near Nevada City

Don’t go here if you are a person of color or if you want nice service. Came here with my friends and the lady’s targeted us and made extremely rude comments. Stated they were glad to have installed a security camera in the back corner to watch every move and they said it loud and clearly directed at us. You can see my old review from my previous account under Mei D explaining this whole situation from a few years back. Had to write another review about it because it’s very wrong to treat customers like you did. Wont come back here ever again because you can’t seem to treat people equally.

Went in there with my boyfriend, and found a pair of jeans I wanted to try on. No workers in sight, I stood there for 10 minutes waiting. A room opened up so I took the jeans inside and was met with a banging on the door that I “should’ve let them know I was trying something on,” super rude and aggressive. When I was done she was like a vulture trying to pressure me to put the clothes back. She’s got bangs, and she’s the reason I walked out without spending any money. Get your employees an attitude check, and if they need to watch the fitting rooms like a hawk, I suggest you post one of them there at all times.
