I have been going to Shiva at i Salon for over six years. She is very attentive to what you want done, she's kind, and very professional. Her attention to detail is what makes her great! She always does a great job on my hair and I always get so many compliments on it! I highly recommend Shiva at i Salon!

Shiva worked miracles on my hair, and taught me how to take care of my curls so they maintain their body. She also doesn't try to sell you a bunch of products, her products were so lovely that of my own accord I chose to buy a shampoo and conditioner. Shiva will teach you how to style your curls with the products you already have. Your curls are worth an experience with Shiva.

I am so glad that I found Shiva/ Isalon. She turned my thinned dull hair to fuller and beautiful curly hair. She was so patient with my query and also she give training to me on how to take care of curls, all dos and don'ts.. She made sure I understand all process properly. Thank you Shiva

I haven't cut my hair for some years now and found Shiva, and WOW, is all I can say. I am so glad I went to her for the deva cut. I am super pleased and love my hair. Shiva was very nice and explained everything great. I will definitely be back.

I got a haircut here about two weeks ago, and its definitely the best haircut I've ever gotten. In addition to providing the cut, Shiva also taught me some new techniques for caring for my hair and gave me advise about what products to use. Great experience and worth the price!

She is very realistic about what to expect when it comes to maintenance, care, and curl pattern; I've learned something new about my hair with each visit. Shiva is very kind and very talented. I got a Deva cut and it looks amazing. Although I am taking a star because I was charged full price even though she didn't so the full deva process including washing my hair and setting it before I left. I get this might be COVID protocol, but then charge a reduced rate

I waited a while before writing this review for Shiva. I found shiva through Yelp because I wanted to have a diva hair cut. I had one great experience in the past with diva hair cut so I knew what to expect. I just wanted the cut instead of the full package which I wash+treat+cut. She agreed to that because my hair was already washed. The price difference is 150 for full package vs 110 for only cut. Not sure how she felt about it but she told me she won't tell me the tips for a good hair care since I didn't have the full package. To me that was very shady and cheap. I mean to keep a client, you can't just say that straight out. She could've just kept quite lol. I wasn't happy with my cut because she didn't split it in to small sections and she was done in 45 mins which is unheard off with a diva cut since my hair is a lot. I did tip her $25 to prove to her that it's not about the money that I didn't choose the package but because my hair was already washed! After the tip she acted so nice and started giving me advice and even gave me samples of some of her products. She mentioned If I don't like the cut I can return. I did text her few days letter because the cut was not even and she agreed to have me back but the days didn't work out.

I have been going to i-salon in Newark for the past 2 years. Shiva is my stylist and she is fantastic! I have curly hair and am very particular about how it is cut. Shiva cuts my hair dry which, as any curly haired person knows, is the only way to get a great cut because curly hair tends to look longer and straighter when wet and then it "shrinks' up once it is dry again. I like to keep my curly hair long, and this is the only way that I have been able to achieve the look that I want. I am so grateful that we have a level 3 Deva Curl stylist right here in the east bay! Shiva also helps me with color, including highlights and low lights; she is incredibly knowledgeable about color. While Shiva has many products for sale in her studio, she is very honest and never tries to "oversell". I am happy and grateful for Shiva and i-salon and will continue to go back whenever I need a great cut and or color.

Shiva cut my hair and did an fantastic job! She was very sincere with her advice and had plenty of knowledge to share. When you have curly hair it can be hard to trust people with it, but she caters her advice to the texture of hair that you have and provides very useful tips to follow. I will definitely be going back!

Curly hair is a journey and I'm so glad that I found Shiva. With COVID, I was forced to find someone else to cut and color my hair. I was tired of waiting months for the place I previously went to and just needed someone quick. Didn't expect much, but oh my GOSH did Shiva change my entire view. With my haircut and color, I became reinvested in taking care of my curls instead of just settling for them being lackluster and dead. The pandemic really put me in a "what's the point?" mindset about everything and Shiva completely changed that. I feel so much better about myself and loved that Shiva helped me with that. She has a repeat customer here along with my husband, who I am currently following the salon with renewed interest in all things curly hair. Thank you Shiva!!!

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that Shiva is great when it comes to curly hair!! I have to admit I was nervous about going to a new hair dresser but my experience ended up wonderfully. I asked a lot of questions about curly hair because I used to wear my hair straight and she patiently answered them all. I learned a lot, especially what I was doing wrong. I found Instagram and YouTube isn't always the wisest place to get info. After cutting my hair and showing me what products to use and how to apply them, she showed me how to diffuse my hair correctly. I was so impressed at how it came out and received so many compliments on my hair since. After nearly two weeks, I'm still extremely happy with my hair. I've been able to cut my time getting my hair ready in the mornings to only a few minutes . I just fluff it out and I'm ready to go. I just wished I had found her sooner.

I was excited to find a level 3 Deva Curl stylist so close to home. Shiva is highly knowledgable about curly hair and extremely friendly/approachable. She listened to how I wanted my hair cut and completely delivered. She even provided a free bang trim a few weeks after my cut. Her salon is a clean space with a wide selection of Deva products. So glad to have found this curly hair gem.

My experiences there have been nothing but amazing. Clean, customer service impeccable, my stylist Jesse is top notch and they follow all the CDC guidelines. I can't say enough about this salon. Definitely recommending to all that want a great salon experience!
