I was blamed by cashier Erwin for walking around the store before returning a single item with a valid receipt.I walked around for something I'd like to purchase in addition to just returning a product, but to no avail. So I ended up just returning a single item I purchased last night. He said it was the rule of the store that customers should return products before shopping. He said he would not know if the item was indeed what I had purchased or something I just took from the shelf. (It was one box 'Zantac', a locked item, purchased last night)I said if you wanted to regulate customer's behavior, you should have posted the rule on your front door before customers entered the store. And if CVS has shopping rule for customers they should inform customers not their employees who could use it to blame customers for not following the rules. It ended up he refused to serve me and I returned the item through another employee. It was a unpleasant and unforgettable experience and I would probably not going there any more.

My doctor's office called in two prescriptions for me. I never got a text my prescriptions were ready so I had to make a special trip to check on them the next day. The pharmacist told me my other prescription wasn't ready. When I called to check on the other prescription the person who answered the phone, Jerry, was very rude. He couldn't find the other prescription and told me to calm down. I was concerned not excited. That was rude of him. He was extremely emotional and went on to VERY LOUDLY say my name, dob, telephone number and home address. I have no idea how many customers were able to hear my PERSONAL INFORMATION. That was in violation of the HIPAA Privacy Act and illegal. Finally he gave the phone to the pharmacist who said she had never told me my second prescription wasn't ready. She lied. I know exactly what she said. I called my doctor's office and they said the pharmacy refused to take the prescription for the second medication and the doctor had to call in that prescription. CVS is very unprofessional, unorganized and rude not to mention they violate the HIPAA Privacy Act and do not protect customers private information.

not even worth the star. customer service is non-existent. called to confirm something before I came in for passport photos only to be hung up on. called back within the minute & waited well over 6 minutes with the line ringing & ringing but no answer. I went elsewhere & I suggest everyone else do the same.

I went to pick up my prescriptions. Decided I'd use a 40% off coupon I had in my app to buy something for my postpartum recovery (I'm 9 months pregnant), using up funds on my FSA card. I also wanted to buy a some candy. I go to the self checkout with the postpartum item and the candy. I rang the FSA item up first and paid with my FSA card. I hit no receipt. Went to pay for the candy separately and moved the postpartum item to the left side of the station because it wouldn't let me proceed until I removed the FSA item from the right side of the checkout. I paid for my candy. Hit no receipt - threw my items in my bag and as I was leaving the checker was demanding to see my receipts. I told him I didn't have one as I hit NO receipt for both items. Who wants a two mile long receipt for a pack of Hot Tamale's? He was basically accusing me of stealing. He mumbled something under his breath and said said it's fine, just go. So I asked him to go print me my receipts because at this point I'm insanely aggravated as I'm being accused of stealing. He said he couldn't. I knew he could so I asked again. He said it was going to take 10 minutes since he had to go upstairs, I said well I guess I've got 10 minutes then. He sends some kid upstairs to go print my receipts. He come back with the receipts - I walk over to show him the receipts and he yells out "See, it was that simple!". WtF?!? I've lived in Newark the majority of my life and know so many people here. I have a great paying job and I'm also 9 months pregnant!!! The last thing I'd do is steal from CVS!if you're reading this - EFRAIN - you suck. That whole situation was embarrassing and you should be ashamed! I understand there's been a ton of theft as of lately - but you might want to watch who y'all accuse of stealing. Don't people sue for this kind of stuff?

Picked up a prescription this afternoon, 10/5/22, that required a pharmacist consultation. I went to the consult window. The pharmacist was 3 feet away and ignored me. I said "sir, my medication requires a consult." He impatiently snapped and said he was going to finish something he was working on. So rude and unprofessional! I had no idea how long he would be because he didn't have the professionalism to tell me! I left.

Unprofessional and Vulgar language used in the open area where pharmacy technicians gather. Usually the pharmacy technicians are awesome and so chilled. But since the pharmacist is at lunch there is louder conversations with the pharmacy technicians using vulgar language. The one person who is the cashier person looks embarrassed to be assisting the patients that have to hear the other 4 loud and vulgar conversations. What seems to happen is more training in what to do and say to patients while the Pharmacist is at lunch both in person and over the phone Two stars for the embarrassed coworker who had to apologize for her coworkers in the back.

I do get my med's here and, honestly, I feel bad for the pharmacy workers. They are constantly short-staffed (like so many places like this) and get yelled at constantly by impatient customers. I have always found the workers here kind, pleasant and helpful. The pharmacists are always so nice to answer any questions when I have a new medication. PLEEZ folks -- give 'em a break -- it's a tough job with little appreciation. And a big THANK YOU to the middle-eastern gal in cosmetics that helped me with a big smile. Sorry-- didn't get your name.

This is one of the worse CVS I've been to in a long time. Pharmacy department is slow. Workers are rude. And no bathroom for customers who have to wait in this long line for their prescription. I wouldn't even give this place a 1 star. Switching my meds to another place.

This is the worst pharmacy I ever went to. Something always goes wrong every time I pick up my prescription. There automated system is not in sync with the store. Every time I walk into that store. There's always a customer who has a complaint. I finally transferred my prescriptions to Hallers.

No improvement. Came in after 6:30 for a prescription that was supposed to be done at 5:00. (I had called around 2:00) Waited in a line 10 deep with only one register open in the Pharmacy. I was then told the prescription was not ready and would take 15 min. I received no text or call over the intercom. It had been a good half hour. Went back to speak to a Pharmacy tech. She went back and grabbed the bag. It had been sitting there done on the counter.... I am going to find a better place to fill my prescriptions. _ From a certified hospital Pharmacy Tech.

Girl at the front register of the pharmacy dark complected (maybe Indian/Pakistani) has got a terrible attitude. She was completely rude for no reason at all. Totally uncalled for, I'm just in here for my prescription. Mind you I'm sure people can have a bad day but you don't have to start getting snippy and rude with your customers. Then when I tell the girl my name for my prescription she laughs, which is odd. I give her my info I'm sitting and waiting for 5 minutes and she snaps at me "hello sir I need you to tap the screen!"(mind you I've been waiting for 5 minutes for some kind of a response from her). Never had a problem at the CVS before but that's pretty annoying.

Absolutley horrible and incompetent. They take forever to fill medications and get really confused if you have more then one script. For example I have a Script I requested a refill for online, no contact from the pharamacy, tried calling multiple times with 15 min wait calls before giving up. Then went in a WEEK after the request for them to tell me that they needed a new script for the medication. They didnt call or text about it, and online it shows I've only used 1/3 refills. WTF!!!

I made an appointment to get the vaccine two months ago. When I got there they told me they don't have it anymore- it's out of stock.
