“Redbox has evolved past just serving up disks in its machine, they now stream live TV online for free and offer early streaming of popular blockbuster titles at a cost before they become available to the public to rent on DVD or Blu-Ray at their kiosk. Currently, a single DVD rental is 1.85 plus tax. Blu Rays are considerably higher. They used to rent video games in their Kiosk, but stopped doing so for an unknown reason. You can also buy select movies at the box to keep for decent prices, they are always having sales. Discs are previous rentals. You get the disk in a case only. No original box etc. One thing about Redbox is once in awhile someone will rip off Redbox by taking the actual DVD out of the box and replacing it with a photocopy of the disk inside. I've received a couple like this when renting from the box but Redbox customer service was awesome and credit my account for the bad rental experience. Also, with the pandemic, when I contracted the virus, I was unable to return the DVD to the kiosk due to my quarantine period. I told their CS the situation and they removed the rental activity from my account and told me to keep the disk. So they worked with me all the way. While we don't have Hollywood Video or Blockbuster video any longer, Redbox still serves up good times for movie nights. Just remember to sign up for an account online if it's your first time renting and they may give you a free movie night for signing up in the app. FYI They offer a semi Touch Free experience when renting at the box, online account registration required.”
