Just about this entire store has everything locked up to the point of ridiculousness. As a forman to my jobsite, I want to come in, grab blades or bits for my jobsite's tools, and go. Instead, I have to waste my time waiting for an employee to unlock a cage and then stand in line because they only have two people working the registers, and the self-checkout is closed. What should be a five minute in and out turns into a thirty minute waiting session. Absolutely hate coming here.

Had fury 4 clawed visitors in kitchen and backyard recently. Came here to get some snacks for them to chew on. Associates here were helpful. The self check out had associates ringing up sales. Didn't know that one can't tap pay terminal. It's either slide or insert card into slot. Pricing of the mouse snack (8.95) is standard thruout the industry as it's essential a duopoly between 2 big nationwide chain stores. The product was working as soon i placed it against a door corner. Didn't need to open package. Just bringing in jnto the house deterred the fury critters from visiting again. Coincidentally a female cat who "claims" our house is hers by defecating all over same was standing at our backdoor sliding door. No doubt she wants credit for our visitors vanishing. I know an opportunistic cat when i see 1.

I used to go here for all of my gardening necessities....BUT ca 6 months ago, I picked out a small tree, went to check out and was told the plant had been overpriced but the young Asian waiting on me said we should go to the 'other checkout' stand inside the building and "they" would fix the error...It was fixed all right - by a young man who took my wallet, removed money, counted it, then assured me he had "fixed" the overcharge. NOTHING was fixed, I was handed the questionable purchase and quick ly sent on my way!!! I bought all of my trees, plants, flowers, etc for ca 20 years here but NEVER AGAIN.... !! I also had a crooked bank (Chase) so refused to accept the correct price, only the crooked Home Depot charge!!! Aside from never again going to HD, I dumped Chase Bank as well! Have not been cheated since!

Such a bad service, I try to use my credit card but a gift card and provide my driver license too , but they rejected , I asked them why they didn't say any reason just say don't accept credit card and only cash or debit card ,so silly people working here .THEN I AKSSHE CALL YOUR SUPERVISOR , THE SUPERVISOR SAME STUPID ANSWER !!!But I check Home Depot website allows use credit card order gift card .I AM NOT GOING BACK THIS STORE ANYMORE IN MY LIFE

I've never felt so disrespected in my life by any establishment before, ever. This review is directed more towards this trailer park, smoker's cough sounding, nonstop gossiping employee at the lumber section named DENISE.We bought 272 feet worth of moulding that we cut ourselves. 17 pieces of 16 feet, cut in half to be exact. This woman, Denise was bragging about her skills that she can calculate in her head and came to this conclusion that it was 280 feet (8 feet more than what we had). My girlfriend looked at me and told her wait a minute, we need to calculate it too then. Denise, this rude, aggressive and impatient employee became irate and became condescending. "You can calculate all you want but that's what it comes down to." We felt rushed. She wouldn't let us calculate on our own, so we asked to put it on hold since she wouldn't stop saying condescending things while we tried to figure out the price. We aren't slow movers or anything, this whole interaction was literally only like 3 minutes.When we asked to put it on hold, she said "You cut all that and you want to put it on hold!?" Well, 1) she can't calculate properly despite her saying "she's different from the rest because she calculates in her head" 2) the price of the moulding was $.64 per foot and she put $0.80 in the computer 3) she was very impatient and condescending 4) SHE ACCUSED US OF BEING F*CKING THIEVES. She said "if you don't pay it up it'll be marked as missing and you'll be on camera". Seriously??Here's the best part. While we were checking out with another employee (a much kinder, non-accusatory one) named Ayelie, this trailer trash smokers voice named Denise literally told like 3 customers about our situation loudly and kept looking at us. The funny thing is we bought the damn things in the end, and as we were leaving the store she was STILL talking about us while looking directly at us and gossiping. What horrible customer service and I've seriously never had such an experience like before. I didn't even ask about my Military Discount because she might offend me even more about it. What an embarassment of an establishment. Not only will I never shop at this Home Depot again, but I probably won't shop at any Home Depot for MANY years to come. Lowes, Dale's, Ace ... they all have great customer service and are never rude and condescending like this.

I spent more time waiting in line than my actual rental duration. This place needs at least 5 employees full time running it but in reality there's only one. Think about it, the process of checking out or returning a truck or a tool is already cumbersome, and when you have 3-5 customers waiting in line that's just hell. The guy working there was well intentioned but everyone ended up having a miserable experience.

I had been wanting to change our kitchen cabinets for a while now but couldn't find a good designer and quality materials to go with.We had been around looking for all stores except HD, I finally went into HD and met Harish Jain, he listened to my needs and worked with me in redesigning our small kitchen. At first I just wanted everything in the same layout and just change to new cabinets, but Harish suggested we move the fridge over to another side, we had to spend extra 3K for the electrical upgrades but it all went well and I like my new kitchen better now than before.I highly recommend Harish Jain if you shop at HD Newark. He is easy to work with, gives great customer service and most importantly, he listens to your needs and gives you time to process things. We went with Thomasville Classics, shaker style white- they all came after 6 weeks order, I can say by Gods grace- no item was damaged or broken, there was just a small cabinet drawer hardware that got loose but my installer fixed it.My countertops is still pending....but so far the cabinetry is of good quality MADE IN USA and the layout design is much better than before.

I went to rent a Rug Doctor carpet cleaner from Home Depot on Ice House Terrace on 07/03/23. The rental associate there was so very rude, I asked him if the rug cleaner is easy to use and he replied "IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE IT THEN WHY DO YOU WANT TO RENT ONE?" It's such a bad customer service and rude! While I was there I saw another Chinese lady who also needed to rent the carpet cleaner, both of us are women and Asian, so I think this white guy discriminates against women and perhaps Asian also., he was rude to both of us! Not every one knows how to use tools but they do need to rent one, people do know how to read instructions and learn how to use the equipment, it's just a carpet cleaner and not rocket science.I hope the manager in the Tool Rental Department, reads my review and have a serious talk with this employee, I don't see his name on the contract but the contract number is 246062 and the service date is 07/03/23

Home Depot organized a Hanukkah Workshop yesterday and we had an AWESOME time! The staff were so accepting, kind and friendly. My children loved hammering and painting in such a welcoming and safe environment.Special thanks to Terra and Stephanie for making it happen!

This Home Depot is great if you want to wander around and search for help that will never come. This Home Depot is short on staff and it takes forever to find someone who can help answer some questions. I was passed around from one employee to the next and no one had any answers.

Large plant selection, lots of parking, less crowded than other stores. Large plant selection that spills into the parking lot. I was looking for some bay leaf but I think its too late in the season and they are all sold out as are many stores at this point. Lots of parking - some Home .Depots are so popular - this one is less so. Maybe housing in the area is newer and has fewer problems than in other cities. Less crowded and lots of help. Very organized and clean. Tool rental at this location. Not all locations offer this. Its great to have the best possible tool for the job and just rent what you need for four hours or a day. Purchased some locks and fly traps. Got lots of moths recently and some sticky traps are working well.
