Desert Oasis Rest Area - Westbound is a rest stop easy to get to from the freeway. It has restrooms, pay phones, and picnic areas with tables. There are mature trees for shade and plenty of parking and trash cans, with the area generally very well-maintained. The bathrooms are very clean and have soap, though some doors lack a latch and facilities are not in the best shape. It provides a decent place to stretch your legs, walk dogs, and feels safe and quiet, often without transients around. For tired travelers, it can be a welcome and quiet spot.
Only rest stop that was open between Barstow & Needles on I-40. California continues to decline

It's my rest area as it works out every time. A quite place. But one would think they could buy a damn faucet for the men's restroom. It's only been broke not working for a years time now. For the love of faucets!!! Only 2 sinks to boot Other than that. A clean place for a break.
