Oak Canyon Equestrian Center is a beautiful property surrounded by oak trees and hillsides with stunning views from the surrounding trails. The overall atmosphere is laidback and family oriented. It is great for those who have never ridden before or don't have much experience, as they teach grooming and tacking as well as riding. The trainers are ridiculously talented, encouraging, and patient, pushing riders to do better. They work with all different levels, from beginners to experienced riders, and students progress from walking to trotting, cantering, and jumping. The barn is a hidden gem and is highly recommended for its great lessons and family environment.
I find this to be a very inclusive ranch. The vibe is friendly and helpful. I have had a few lessons with Becky on a horse named Bandit. She explains things well and is patient with both student and horse. It has truly been a highlight to learn to trot, something I never thought I would be learning as a senior citizen.
