Me and my wife are both disabled vets, got kicked out by Brian Fleming the supposed commander.... Cause I had my service dogs with me in a wagon... When the door on the way In . says service dogs allowed... The owner and region supervisor needs to look into this commanders, discrimination. Very unprofessional, shouldn't even call himself a commander ....

Cory Vigil is the true definition of a change agent. Him and the staff at post 291 go above and beyond to assist veterans in Orange County who have fallen on hard times. His connections to a wider spectrum of veterans organizations is truly commendable. I am grateful for the opportunity to have connected with him.

American Legion, Newport Harbor 291, this post is coming up on its 100th year of service to our veterans in Newport Beach and servicing the Armed Forces members, their families, and friends. Please celebrate our one hundred years of service to American veterans. Please celebrate our 100 years of service to our American veterans. They have a delicious menu at great prices. However, I would like to give special recognition to Service Officer Cory Vigil. I've become friends with him over several years, and I have witnessed the endless volunteer hours this man has dedicated to veterans. He has been of excellent service and friend to veterans, especially those who have fallen on hard times. Throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties' other veterans services, they know they can call on Cory Vigil to help veterans (and yes, emergencies pop up at all hours.). Volunteerism comes from the heart, so I must thank Michell for allowing this man to volunteer their precious time. I am honored and blessed to call Cory and Michell my friends. Anthony Morales

Cory Vigil is a true leader, setting the pace for serving veterans in crisis and engaging the current generation of vets. His impactful work in outreach throughout Greater OC is commendable, bringing effective solutions to veterans in need. The ongoing projects focusing on veterans and military families are promising, and I'm thrilled about the positive change Cory and his team are bringing to the community. Excited to see this post grow as a pillar of support for veterans. #VeteranSupport #CommunityPillar

I am stunned beyond belief after an encounter at the Legion today. We have gone there for many years. My husband is a member. He is also a 24 year Navy SEAL veteran and retired police officer. We came with our daughters (one who was on leave from the Navy and is heading out on deployment in two days) and another veteran friend who has been a member for years; we were questioned about my husbands ten pound fully trained and certified service dog (who has also been to the Legion on several occasions) by Timothy Sullivan. My husband let him know that Piper is a service animal and he had all appropriate paperwork (which you are not legally compelled to provide btw) and this man was rude, condescending; told me to "be quiet and listen to him"; he was hostile; argued about where the dog could be that they would be watching him; (not sure if he meant my husband or the dog); the arrogance and hostility was rolling off of this man. We were stunned and shocked and picked ourselves up and left. I never in a million years thought the place where we find profound joy and comfort being at would do this. My husband is a disabled Veteran and should never have been treated this way. Disgusted is an understatement. We will be filing a formal complaint up the Legion chain of command. I hope they discipline and remove this guy from his leadership position as Commander of the sons of Legion members
