I went to this branch for some advice on notary public and Alicia helped me out today. She was very kind and I really appreciate her help. Thank you.

I can't believe that this bank got anything less than 5 stars!! I've been coming here for years and have received personalized professional services from Jovani, a banker here at the Newport Beach branch. The team here is wonderful. Please disregard the negative reviews. I highly recommend coming here for your banking needs.

They do not give your own money (in saving account) back and put it on hold because you left the money and there was no transaction on it. Now that I need to money, they do not give it to me. Please avoid this entire Bank of America. Worst customer service and a bunch of thieves.

Just unbelievable. All I wanted to do was close a dormant account. First I could not get access to the money and was not allowed to Zelle it online and call in to close the account. I had to drive to a B of A (after they zeroed out the $3,382.25 in the account which showed i had NO MONEY in my account which was dishonest) and instead of closing the account Giovanni gave me a lecture and tried to start an argument with me. I was thinking of putting my retirement with Merrill (which is owned by BofA) but after this display of Funnery I will have to re-evaluate that.

Does anyone in corporate office give a damn of HOW their branches performing and doing? This one is the worst by far with their careless employees who don't know anything, not willing to assist or to find out what they should be knowing including their clueless, lazy and rude branch manager. So if a manager is absent minded, not willing to assist, be helpful or knowledgeable and has no respect for business and long term clients then what should we expect from other staff at this branch?? How can she build a winner team?!:) Very sad actually. But clearly BofA don't care.

The branch on San Miguel in Newport Beach is constantly turning over employees. The clerks are untrained and rude. They say no to everything automatically and you have to ask for a manager to help with the most basis requests. I've branched with Bank of America for over 20 years and I'm moving away from them because of their terrible customer service

So disappointed in this BOA branch. They honestly do know what they are doing. Huge disconnect.

Just barf customer service and no regard for long time clients. BofA execs just don't give a s*** about average customer.

I have been BoA preferred customer over 20 years. I am really dissatisfied with the manager Parisa Pazuki who is unprofessional, unethical and lack of knowledge. Parisa does not know how to treat customer. BoA should get rid of her from the bank.

I feel like I am just adding another to an entire collection of bad reviews. I really think the entire management at this branch should be fired. They do their best to deny you your money, refused to make a cashiers check saying that with only 30 minutes till the end of their day they just did not have the time and that due to covid they can't get child care... But Wait, Im a parent and I have to deal with kid care? WTF? These guys suck. They have markers on the floor that are 16 feet apart so that they can keep people out side stating the would be over their limit if more than 4 people were in the building and that corporate watches the cameras... Really not a problem at any other branch....So at 10 minutes to close all that goes out the window and they shove everyone they can in and lock the door. (what happened to the limit???) With 2 minutes till 1 on Saturday -- Shawn "the manager" and resident hot head tells some old lady to maybe show up 30 minutes sooner and they can't possibly deal with her and all the others in line....then closes the door as some one that was in the bank leaves. The lady point to her phone to who him the time and it looks like he gave her the bird just out of view from the camera, but looked fairly clear from my vantage point --- that is just sick! Walks past everyone and says that the doors on are a timer and says can you believe the nerve of that lady. WTF? Shaun -- you are a terrible person. You are a hot head and should be terminated immediately. This obviously comes from the top at this branch and as such they all be dismissed. Very sad excuse of a person...so unprofessional. I would invite a district manager to send people in with cameras and watch this. I believe this is more the norm than the exception here.

I'm a long time BofA customer. I have tried to use this branch on a bunch of occasions, but the service varies widely i.e. what you did the prior week (cashing or depositing a check/purchasing a cashier's check) may not work at all the next week, depending on who you get at the counter. I've found that overall, the senior staff aren't particularly helpful, and go out of their way to NOT provide services. I definitely would not recommend this branch to a friend. I ended up ditching this branch entirely and instead go to the CDM branch on PCH, which has much better staff.

Well this was a big surprise...We are all used to big bank service being really impersonal and indifferent. Not the case at all with this BofA branch. Really friendly and helpful people and managers that go above and beyond. Cannot praise enough Alex and Shani and their branch manager, who spent almost 3 hours with me (past closing time) to open my business and personal accounts, filling all the paperwork and explaining clearly all products and services offered. You could tell that they really work as a team and enjoy what they are doing. I would highly recommend this BofA branch and this team for your banking needs.

It's not even worth the one star, they deserve ZERO stars. The manager is even lazier than the regular employees. They lack any form of customer service skills whatsoever. The manager literally walks around pretending she's busy and it's obvious she's not. They don't know what there doing and I have been inconvenienced to come in numerous times for the same mistake the teller made. We've been customers for over 35 years and get treated so badly. We will be closing all our accounts, as well as business accounts and moving to another bank. I can't believe Bank Of America doesn't do something about this even though we have brought it up to corporate numerous times and the branch only has gotten worse.

I would give 0 Stars if I could. The associates and branch manger Dennis Lee are incompetent, lazy, and have required me to come into the branch multiple times for their own mistakes. I initially came in to the branch for a simple name change, as I had recently gotten married. After changing my name, Mr. Mendonca informed me that my dad needed to personally come in to sign documents since I had joint accounts with him. I told him I would but needed a few weeks since I had just recently had a baby and could not drive at the moment. Only a few days later I started being bombarded with phone calls and emails asking me to come in with my dad to sign the documents. I responded and said to please give me the time I had initially asked for. A few weeks later when I came in with my dad I met with Hana Aslan and asked that my dad be removed from the checking and savings account I shared with him. She was very reluctant and asked to close the accounts instead because "it would take too long." I told her I didn't want to because my accounts were tied to bill pay. She kept pressuring me so I agreed to close the savings. It only took 15-20 minutes to remove my dad from my checking account, not the hour she told us it would take. After removing my dad from the checking, I realized she didn't want to have to complete a few extra steps to have my dad removed from my accounts, even though it was what I wanted and requested. After meeting with Ms, Aslan, I thought I had taken care of everything. Unfortunately, a few weeks later I was again bombarded with emails from the branch manager asking me to come in yet again to sign more paperwork for the closed savings account. It was clear that Ms. Aslan neglected to have my dad and I sign all the paperwork that was necessary but yet I was being inconvenienced again. I did not receive an apology nor were my emails or phone calls answered with anything other than generic "come in to make an appointment" responses. After leaving a voicemail from Mr. Lee (branch manager) and informing him I could not come in again, he mailed me the documents regular mail (without requiring a signature) on a form that had both my dad and my full social security numbers on it. I am beyond disappointed with this branch. It has been nothing but a headache to deal with what I thought was a simple request. I have been a Bank of America customer for over 10 years, however, this branch has made me want to switch banks altogether.
